A Spy who sees and knows and tells; A Martyr, young, whose blood is spilt; A Sinner, mind broken, by a Traitor in Faith trapped; An Angel whose Pride will burn in Wrath; A Brother who brings forth Death’s quiet kiss; In a Doe’s trembling dark eyes he finds long-sought Bliss; A fallen Trickster whose faults now him haunt; From Demon-Lips, to the Traitor, covet news is received; And friends are found, long lost loves take their leave; Cities will burn, Kingdoms will fall;
And the Hopes of Men are deceived.
