Holly has been listening to the audiobooks while driving, constantly stopping to verbally text Amanda through Siri. As you will see in this series, Siri is not great at translating the names of people and places in Tortall, and hilarity ensues. We hope you enjoy this merging of technology and Tammy.

Am I the only one squicked out by Tammy's apparent bestiality kink? With Daine, she has a kid with Numar and while pregnant with her, she shape shifts, with Kel, it is cannon that centaurs breed with both humans and horses, and with Aly, Nawat, need I say more?

The only time I’ve been ‘squicked out’ was by the Centaurs in PotS because GROSS. I mean, Daine has to shape-shift because she’s a shapeshifter and she doesn’t want the baby pushing itself out of her abdomen. And as for Aly & Nawat, there’s no (cannon) talk of human!Aly & crow!Nawat, so I’ve never been turned off by it.

But it’s totally understandable for you and others to be grossed out.

About the fancast... Isn't Nawat supposed to be very dark skinned?

Here’s the fancast in question.

Nawat’s description from the Tamora Pierce wiki:

Nawat has dark skin, with a lighter complexion than the raka . His eyes are brown, long-lashed, and deeply set on either side of a long and very thin nose.

So while Nawat has dark skin, he is not a dark as the raka. Keep in mind that the Copper Isles are primarily based on Indonesia.

I don’t care if you work with autistic people or have autistic relatives, YOU DO NOT GET TO TALK OVER AUTISTIC PEOPLE. If someone autistic says something about their experiences with autism, YOU DO NOT GET TO TALK OVER THEM. If you aren’t autistic, you do not get to say ‘erm, actually, I work with autistic people and.....’ if it contradicts something an autistic person says about autism. They know what it is like from the inside, and you don’t. This goes double if you are saying “{person} can’t be autistic because....’ since that usually leads to you acting as if you are the end-all be-all arbiter of who is autistic or not, and that is not your place. You do not get to police a community to which you do not belong.

Especially re headcanons - if someone headcanons a character as autistic, you do not have the right to say ‘actually they can’t be because they don’t fit this specific and narrow view I have of autism’, and yet, PEOPLE KEEP DOING THIS OR REBLOGGING IT WITHOUT COMMENT (*glares at fytortall *) Who is it hurting if someone says they headcanon a character as autistic and it makes them feel better? You are being a pedantic jerk and hurting people, and that is NOT OKAY. Shame on you.
