Hudson has just been ON THE BALL. A part of me wants to attribute this to Goliath being so shaken, the others all being so shaken by the introduction of a new gargoyle. So why wouldn't Hudson be so shaken? And that reason also doesn't do full justice to Hudson. He's notably not one of the fastest gargoyles or best flyers at his age, but he is so far the first go after the mirror, and the rest are actually pretty quick to let him be the one to ensure it's safety and go after Demona.
So what's up? He was the one who told them to be careful what they wish for. Surely the mirror being around to tempt them would also cause their own problems.
But I think Hudson is thinking on a whole-picture scale right now than the others. Goliath is probably stuck on the possibility of Elisa being one of them. Broadway is probably fixated on getting his friend back to normal (and B being B probably thinks perhaps mirror-smash would mean things go back to normal). The others are probably enticed by what this mirror could mean for them. If it could make Elisa a gargoyle, could they become human? Would they want to?
Hudson, I think more than anyone right now, fully feels that things need to go back to as they were. That what the mirror is doing is playing with fire, and he won't just put faith in the idea that the mirror destroyed might mean the magic dispelled. I think he's old enough to know that it would be very unwise to trust in anything like that.
I bet he's very concerned about Goliath, the head of their clan, right now. Because I absolutely think he sees pretty far into what he's feeling and also what a trouble it would be to the clan without their human contact. Poor ole' man
