Given rave reviews by both the Japanese and some international press. G@me features Naohito Fujiki turning in a strong performance as Nakama’s ‘kidnapper’… holding the girl hostage until a ransom demand is paid from her father. In reality, he’s actually an advertiser, who has been beaten to a 3 billion deal and so take’s his Rival’s daughter hostage. 1. 天使の牙B.T.A. (english title: The Battling Angel) Note: I think The Battling angel is one of the most underrated movies and unfortunately has not a wide audience. Neverless, either if you are fan of Oosawa Takao or not, you should give this movie a chance since it combines action, thriller, suspence, but most of all shows what to truly love someone means.

Oh wow look, another movie review. Shut up, it's a review isn't it. An update from me other than my insane rambles on my person blog. Anyway, I trust all of you had kick ass December holidays since I did take the time to make a terrible video of my awkward self wishing you a kick ass whatever so because I willed it, it was. Uh... did I mention on here I am going to be an aunt in May/June? If not, I am and if I did, I know now it's a girl but I dunno what generic name she will be called since my brother and sister-in-law are being dicks about it. So I am calling her generic name or Emily because how more generic can you get... other than like, Erin or something... Moving on.
It's been a long while since I've seen this movie so I might rewatch parts so it doesn't sound entirely phoned in.
Without doing anything he finally passes by when he hears a rustling behind him and turns to see a girl (Nakama Yuki) escaping the house. So Sakuma is like, dude, hot girl jumping off a wall, she might be the key to my revenge... STALKING HER!!" He follows her to a hotel where she is desperate to get a room. After an awkward confrontation where he accuses her of running away and she accusing him of stalking her, she introduces herself as Katsuragi Juri the illegitimate child of Katsuragi Katsutoshi.
After he hears her sob story he brings her back to his place to spend the night, not like that though. Although she claims his bedroom so she can lock him out of the room so he can't rape her. A smart choice but if she were truly worried she wouldn't have gone home with him but that's not important. Anyway, after an exchange she suggests to him that they should stage her kidnapping in order to get money from her father. At first he's like, "Yeah no. Fuck that!" But after his account for Dynx beer is given to some other guy at his company he's like, "Yeah okay let's do this!" So together the devise the scenario by which she was kidnapped and email a demand for a ransom. Then they run through what must be taking place at her house with her dad. Sakuma has a creepy knowledge of how kidnappings are dealt with just saying.
There is some initial friction (sexual tension) between Juri and Sakuma but that will be released later in the film. Anyway, to avoid suspicion Sakuma returns to work and shit gets weird when Katsuragi Katsutoshi shows up and the two men engage in a battle of wits. If that didn't tip him off that something was amiss, he's dumb. Long story short, the duo become too close and agree to run off together after the plot concludes. However, things go south when after Juri is returned home, she is soon found dead. Dun dun DUN! /Game summary over.
So this movie is awesome! I mean there is a good amount of action and suspense and twists that make the movie awesome. I really appreciate the way the movie is told through the eyes of one character: Sakuma. But when you get to the end you will see why it could only be told from his perspective. What I also like is that it's not one of those "guy fake kidnaps girl and super cop shows up and solves it in a minute because he's so awesome." That's what I hated about the Death Note movies. "I knew you were gonna do that so I did this!" Ugh. Anyway, the acting is well done from my perspective and dude, how hot is Fujiki Naohito? I am not usually a fan of Japanese actors since they are rarely attractive to me but he is. Damn, dude. Anyway, and how can you not love Nakama Yuki? She's awesome!
So to sum up and reiterate, this movie is awesome. If you are looking for a good suspense-y, action-y, holy crap what an awesome twist movie, check this one out.
I will eventually review another drama soon. I am trying to get through Heartstings currently then I PROMISE I will finally watch Coffee Prince. Promise! Okay, Carie out.
Recommend: If you like mysteries, then absolutely!
Review:
I think Fujiki Naohito and Nakama Yukie did a great job here. I can feel their chemistry and the plot is simply unpredictable.
I really couldn't say anything more without revealing everything so I'll leave that up to you to find out.
I couldn't find any downloadable HD version of it, so the movie quality kinda turns me off on this one. However, it makes me curious as to what's gonna happen next so I kept watching anyway and I'm glad I did.
That's just how good the plot is.
There are some boring bits, which could definitely be ignored. Haha.
