Yeah, you should do what YOU want and what feels right to you. It’s probably easy for me to say cause I’m not a writer, but I can’t imagine it’s fun to write if you try to force yourself to follow a specific path you’re not on right now.
thank you so much for the comment! and yeah, it gets... tricky if a path DID once make you happy, but if it ultimately just stalls you in every way then it’s not one that i can dedicate as much time and energy anymore. and until i find a way to moderate that time and energy (in a way that doesn’t get out of hand bc i’m a tool), it’s just better not to put myself in that situation at all.

haah, yeah. thank you so much; i used to be really self-conscious about the possibility of my hobbies turning against themselves (as in, how ridiculous do you have to be to let them overwhelm you?) but it is what it is. i’m someone who always strives to do something about my own unhappiness, so one way or the other i would have figured a way around it. it’s just the other choices never worked, so it had to come down to this one.
