Carter: what is the cause you feel you are most loyal to?

This is the most CareBear sounding answer ever but Kindness? I feel like so much is gained when you make it a point to be kind to others, and yourself.

Shaw: if tomorrow you could feel just one emotion what would you choose (except happiness i mean, i see you there smart asses)?

Trying to avoid a synonym of that (so what does that tell you, ha). If I only get one I guess maybe experiencing awe? Like when you sI think if I could only feel one thing, I’d probably end up trying to look at the world in a way that’d maximize my way of feeling it, and slowing down and paying attention to the details to be awed by wouldn’t be so bad anyway right?

I feel like I have a million answers to this but the first thing I thought of was all the villains from the TMNT universe. I grew up watching the 90’s cartoon and now, looking back, they’re all so fantastically absurd and I still love them.

6. Describe the worst date you’ve been on. In high school I let my friend Justin set me up with a friend of his from another school named Chris. Well this guy (this was back when I was trying really hard to like guys, and failing miserably) was obnoxious, didn’t listen to a word I said, kept trying to hold my hand even though I said no several times and then tried to make a move on me at the movie theater by sticking his very large nose in my ear??? And then licking my neck??? The date ended with me yelling bye, and literally running and jumping into the train as the doors were closing.  It wasn’t even my train I just wanted out of there.

13. Favorite lesbian movie? I love Saving Face. It’s cute and funny and smart, hits all the right buttons, and skips a lot of the cheesy melodrama (bonus for a sex scene NOT involving 700 candles, soap opera soft lighting and/or a montage cut to a soft rock ballad. 99% of lesbian movies rub me the wrong way- this one does not.

18. Ever been assumed to be nothing more than a gal pal? Well, it often takes two attempts when I introduce my wife- even when I say “and this is my wife”- to get the nature of that relationship across to people (especially in more rural areas) so sort of.

25. Be positive! What do you like most about being a lesbian?This question is funny bc the first thing I thought of was that sometimes I feel being a gay lady already throws me into the Other category for large swaths of society so it’s kinda automatically freeing from being concerned about people’s opinions of me. Like, I’m already kinda out there so I might as well be who I want to be and dress how I want to dress. It feels like license to be authentic and weird and I love it.

Fanfiction Questions5. Which fandoms have your written fanfiction for?

-Well, now its Supergirl, POI, Orphan Black, Lost Girl, and X Files. Also wrote three short Sherlock fics for my bestie, but that’s not really my fandom. 10. Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?

- Legend of Korra. I’ve read a handful of epic ones (epic in length and awesomeness) and feel like between the show itself and those authors, all my needs have satisfied. :-) 17. Who was your first OTP and are they still your favorite?

- I’m sure I can find someone earlier but the first OTP I shipped so hard it drove me to fandom/fanfic was Mulder/Scully. That ship introduced me to all things fandom, back at the new dawn of the internet, when I was printing fic to read at school at lunch (wow, yeah). They will always hold a special place but I think my fave is Root/Shaw now. There are some similarities in those dynamics actually…. but yes. 19. Is there a ship which you wished you could get behind, but you just don’t 

- ha, yes. When I was deeply entrenched in Orphan Black I shipped so many combos and permutations of characters… except Cophine? I don’t know why but the canon ship, Cosima and Delphine never interested me. Too bad bc there’s some great fic and writers for it I just… meh. 

22. Is there anything you regret writing?

- I was young I wrote an honest to god Songfic for X Files, set to Alanis Morrsette’s You Learn. Yeah, that happened. I can’t find it- though I did post it back in the Stone Age when i was in middle school so it’s somewhere on the World Wide Web- but I don’t need to reread ever bc it’s so embarrassing I pretty much have it seared on my brain. :-)

It is definitely like a ghost town, complete with tumbleweeds, at that time of night. And yes, I am definitely one of those weirdos who doesn’t mind/likes 5am but I still fully recommend experiencing combo of  snow/quiet at any time of day. :)
