took to strategy and politics/int’l relations like a fish to water, even did a semester abroad at ba sing se when earth-fire tensions weren’t as terrible
slowly worked her way to becoming a diplomat and not some ceremonial figurehead
primary interest is working towards peace among the four nations, obviously this hasn’t been a cake walk
but neither has dealing with an engagement you don’t particularly want, especially when she thinks there are more effective ways to securing the fire lord spot (vox populi anyone?)

he’s got the all the expectations and responsibilities that you’d expect, but he’s most certainly not happy about it, and he makes that fact well known.
when he was younger he was very argumentative and stubborn. very angry at the way things are, but there’s not really a way out. so he sticks to his duties and does them well enough, but the resentment and bitterness never goes away
eventually he’s become very emotionally distant and reserved, and most people will think he’s a quiet person that just does his duties well, but those that have known him for a long time would know he’s still a bitter bitch - he just keeps out of most conversations till he’s got some cynical shit to say
all in all, he’s not a huge fan of the royal family, or of the military complex. but he can’t imagine his way out, so he’s just being a pessimistic little dweeb.
but! but! if your muse doesn’t know him well, again most of that won’t be clear to them. he’s very reserved mostly and doesn’t make friends easily. many of his current relationships were gained through work or diplomatic relations (like una, where he’s surrounded by everyone else and meant to socialize)
kind of an asshole, but he’s responsible enough to get by without being questioned. as dry and acerbic as one can be.
kind of vain but don’t tell anyone about it ok.
ultimately, he’s only out for himself, but a little push in one direction or the other: who knows? he’s not as patriotic as he appears, after all

sooooo this is her full bio, and it’s bullet format and relatively short (i think?) BUT if you want the quick and dirty, here it is:
31 years old, airbender. first born daughter of council member rinzen (torma family!).
fc is sonoya mizuno and she’s literally the perfect fc because she’s a dancer and there’s a shit ton of pics with her in motion! would have made her a waterbender, but also - the air nation needed some loving!
her family calls her “liya” as the a is an easy way to draw out her name as a term of endearment, close friends will probably also call her liya or soli! otherwise, she also goes by “soli” or “so” to acquaintances...otherwise, assume full name of “soliya”
inspiration for her actually came during a rando conversation with my roommate, we talked a little bit about sarira, which is basically...“although the term sarira comes from the sanskrit word for “body” (शरीर), and can be used for relics like teeth or parts of buddha’s skull, it typically refers to the crystalline traces that remain after a respected buddhist’s corpse is burnt...in some cases, sarira are said to grow from the bodies of living people, usually at the culmination of a religious experience.“
we then talked about how in her family’s case, her mother used to tell her that buddhist monks would carry all their rage and pent up feelings and it would be pressed into these little ‘remnants’ and after cremation, you could see just how much they suffered and how much their self-discipline kicked in, by seeing how many of these sarira remnants remained. (this is more clear if you read my bio)
soooo yes! wild child, cocky as hell, confident and just...like, she’d be someone you’d want to party with.
literally the most stubborn child/teenager you could ever have met. people on air temple island were convinced that she was swapped at birth with another baby, and thought that she may be better suited as a fire or earth bender. but she had a natural affinity for airbending which shut them up for a while!
traveled around a LOT to the other nations and the north, east, south, and west air temples with her father!
LOVES HER SIBLINGS TO DEATH AND BACK! would probably kill for them (esp during her wild child days)
but really seriously injured one of her younger siblings (looking for this muse/plot aye) at the age of 16, and like - so much guilt
self isolated for about 4 months in guilt after, then went on a soul search at the other air temples for about another month. meditated - a lot, started to practice self-discipline
went into hardcore airbending training for about another 4 months, so total of 8 months of only air temple interactions and turned 17 during this self journey (aka went off the grid to anyone else in the 3 other nations)
disposition changed HEAVILY, went from wild child to very calm, relaxed, placid (still friendly though!) so anyone who knew her before is probably like ???? tf ???
but from like 17-28 was still a continuous journey of self-control as she travels around with her father on diplomatic visits and then more so on her own as she gets older, but by now she’s pretty good at keeping her outward emotions/outburts all inside.
doesn’t mean her control and discipline is perfect though!

before dobs: navigating through adulthood, slowly getting over family woes, loathing the responsibility of reputation (as a noble, no less). passed over UNA when given the “opportunity” mostly to spite his parents, but also because he can just do that... on his own time... alone.. really can’t get enough of that. stuck. knows a lot more than he lets on.
during dobs: accompanying the rest of his family for once, some morbid gut feeling telling him to skip out on this like he’s done with every other appearance they’ve done. but maybe he’s just queasy in the heat. maybe duty’s more than pretending to give a crap and not half bad. it’s a good hour until it isn’t. with a stray child in his way of getting past crowds and smoke and everything in between, he can’t tell if she makes it. all he remembers is himself not.
after dobs: stuck. under the impression that they’re all home without him, he at least knows the world as everyone knows it is exactly what they’d dread it to become. there is some advantage in being the one child not all are aware of, but to what real avail?
facts: sucks at bending, takes politics way too seriously to make up for what he can’t physically do (don’t know how that works to balance each other out but ok, bro, you do you), eats his greens. thinks you should be involved in your community but not obnoxiously. speaks a LOT through his actions and thinks that always gets his point across but... so much happens in your head and only in your head, man
this is ozen, firstborn of the oh-so-capitalistic keritas. he is:
heavily involved with his family business as an executive alongside his father, leaving practically no room for newer relations outside of work dynamics. livin’ it up just because they have the means for it
not soulless, not the warmest person around either, just. *white flag* with what his life’s become. every major decision has been made for him, he’s hollow inside
engaged to asana, one of his childhood best friends. only now welcoming their other one, dorjee, back home but with this... super thick tension that’s beyond the three of them
stupid pining over the former but the lack of reciprocation’s been clear since childhood and he’s hung onto some thin thread of hope that it would change until recently with this out-of-place marriage pact 🤡
