The motel room smells like old carpet and burnt coffee. You’re curled up on the bed, laptop perched on your thighs, the screen glowing with grainy photos of claw marks and crime scenes. Sam's off grabbing food, probably arguing with the drive-thru speaker while you’re left to sift through another cursed case that’s already starting to feel like a bust.
Your eyes ache. Your back aches. Your brain is screaming for something not soaked in blood and folklore.
Then, there's that flutter.
Not of wings — that would be too cliché for him. It’s more like a breeze curling under the doorframe, a golden warmth that prickles across your skin, and the faintest scent of honey and ozone.
You don’t even have to look up.
“You’re not supposed to be here,” you say, voice already softer than it was the entire day.
Gabriel’s grin stretches slow and smug, materializing at the edge of the bed like he’s stepped out of your favorite daydream. Which, let’s be honest, he kind of did.
“Technically, I’m never supposed to be anywhere,” he says, tilting his head. “But here I am. Your very own cosmic break from murder and mayhem.”
You roll your eyes, but the smile’s already tugging at your lips.
“You could’ve waited ‘til Dean left too. He’s picking up burgers for five minutes.”
Gabriel shrugs, eyes twinkling. “Too long. I missed you.”
He says it like it’s the simplest thing in the universe. Like the chaos of Heaven and Hell and whatever’s burning in between means nothing next to missing you.
Your laptop’s still open, but your focus is already gone. Gabriel flops down beside you, stretching like a cat, and you can feel the buzz of his grace like static against your skin. He smells like cinnamon and sugar and the faintest hint of danger. Like mischief baked into something sweet.
He traces his fingers lightly over your wrist. “You’ve got a whole motel room and you’re sitting here with this clunky little murder machine?”
“It’s called research,” you murmur, already leaning into him. “Somebody’s gotta make sure the thing we’re hunting doesn’t eat Sam alive.”
Gabriel hums, unimpressed, and his hand slides up your arm, palm warm and slow. “And what about me? What if I’m starving?”
You glance at him, smirking. “Didn’t you just crash a bakery in Belgium yesterday?”
“I meant emotionally, sweetheart.” He presses a soft, feather-light kiss to your shoulder. “I haven’t gotten a single sarcastic insult from you in days. Do you know how deprived I am?”
You laugh under your breath, fingers tangling in the fabric of his shirt. He pulls you closer, wrapping his arms around your waist like you’re the anchor that keeps him grounded.
“I hate how good you smell,” you mutter into his neck.
Gabriel grins against your skin. “I know. It’s tragic for you.”
There’s a rustle outside. A car door slamming. You both freeze.
“It's them?” you whisper.
Gabriel sighs, melodramatic as ever. “And just when things were getting fun.”
You shove him lightly, already climbing off his lap. “Go. Before he sees you.”
He leans in for one last kiss, sweet and deep and dangerous.
“I’ll be back,” he murmurs, lips brushing yours. “And next time? No research.”
He disappears with a crackle of air and sugar, just as the motel door swings open and Sam walks in with two paper bags.
“Did you turn up anything useful?” he asks, dropping food on the table.
You close your laptop, cheeks flushed.
“Maybe,” you say, smiling to yourself. “Still piecing it together.”

The motel was quiet. Sam and Dean had enough money to spare and you got your own room. You’d been staring at the ceiling for hours, watching shadows crawl across the room while the digital clock mocked you from the nightstand.
2:13 AM.
2:47 AM.
3:26 AM.
Sleep wouldn’t come, It never really did. Most nights you'd do extensive research on the case until sunrise, surviving on coffee and stubbornness. Sam worried. Dean pretended not to. And Gabriel was too busy bothering you three hunters to care—at least, that’s what he wanted everyone to think.
So when you stood up and got out of your bed to reach for your bag that sat on the table near the door, the last thing.. Or the last angel you expected was Gabriel.
“You know normal people sleep at this hour, right?”
You quickly turn around to the Archangel.. He just smirked at you. You'd be lying if you said you didn't notice the growing tension between you two in cases where he was tricking you three and putting you three through shows or repeating the same day. He'd stare at you longer than Sam or Dean, he'd get up and in your personal space, he'd do things in his little tricks for you as a way to flirt.
So when you turned around, and saw him, your heart skipped a beat and started to race but your face stayed the same, tired but alert. You heard Gabriel chuckle and cross his arms over his chest.
“What do you want, and what are you laughing at?”
You snap, your day had been tiring, and after coming back to the motel and taking a warm shower you still couldn't seem to catch a break. You're irritated, but not at Gabriel, he's the last person you'd be mad at, you were irritated at the fact you couldn't sleep and he caught on.
“Wow, I touched a nerve, huh? I just came by to check on my favorite little human and you just can't stand to see my charming face.”
You sigh and ease up a bit.
You sigh and ease up a bit.
“See? There you gooo!”
he teased, pointing at you dramatically.
“That’s the look I like. Much less murder-y.”
You rolled your eyes and reached for your bag.
“I’m working.”
“At three in the morning?”
“Technically it’s almost four.”
Gabriel stared at you. You stared back.
“…That’s not the defense you think it is, sweetheart.”
You huffed and pulled out a notebook. The case was spread across its pages. Witness statements, newspaper clippings, notes scribbled in different colored pens. You sat down at the little motel table. Gabriel’s expression shifted.
“You’re seriously researching?”
“What else would I be doing?”
“Sleeping.”
You laughed. A short, humorless sound. Gabriel’s smile faded. The room fell quiet. You looked down at your notes, avoiding his eyes.
“I can’t.”
The words slipped out before you could stop them. Gabriel didn’t answer immediately. For once, there wasn’t a joke. No smart comments. No sarcastic comeback. Just silence. When you finally looked up, he was watching you carefully.
“How long?”
You frowned.
“What?”
“How long since you’ve actually slept.”
You opened your mouth, closed it, then Opened it again.
“…I don’t know.”
Gabriel’s jaw tightened. That surprised you. You’d expected amusement. Maybe annoyance. Not concern.
“It’s not a big deal, I'm fine.”
Gabriel snorted.
“Sure.”
“I am.”
“You look like you’ve been hit by a truck.”
“Thanks.”
“You’re welcome.”
You couldn’t help it. A tiny smile tugged at your lips. Gabriel immediately pointed at you.
“There it is again.”
“Oh my God.”
You groaned and buried your face in your hands. A laugh escaped him. Not his usual loud, attention-seeking laugh. A real one. Warm and quiet. The sound made your heart do something embarrassing. When you looked up again, he was standing closer. You hadn’t even seen him move. Typical angel.
“Gabriel.”
“Hm?”
“What are you doing?”
His gaze softened. And suddenly the motel room felt very small. Very quiet. Very aware of the fact that he was standing only a few feet away.
“You know,”
he said lightly,
“I’ve watched humans for a few thousand years.”
“Oh, only a few thousand?”
“Don’t interrupt my dramatic speech.”
You rolled your eyes. He continued with a little smirk on his face.
“I’ve seen people push themselves until they break.”
The teasing had disappeared completely now.
“I’ve seen hunters do it even faster.”
Your chest tightened. Gabriel reached out. For a moment you thought he was going to touch your face. Instead he gently took the notebook from your hands.
“Hey—”
“Nope.”
He snapped his fingers. The notebook vanished.
“Gabriel!”
“Temporary confiscation.”
“You can’t just—”
“I absolutely can.”
You glared at him. He grinned. Then the grin softened… He had slowly made his way to the bed, sat down, his back against the headboard, he lolled his head over to look at you
“Come here.”
Immediately suspicious, you crossed your arms.
“No.”
“Come on.”
“No.”
“Please?”
“No.”
“Pretty please?”
“Gabriel.”
He sighed dramatically. Then, before you could react—with a swipe of his fingers in the air, you were next to him on the bed. You stared. He stared back at you with the Sam stupid grin that you loved so much. Eventually, exhaustion won.You shuffled closer.
“Happy?”
“Ecstatic.”
For a few moments neither of you spoke, it was a bit awkward due to the fact he wrapped his arm around your shoulders so now your head laid against his chest. The motel’s air conditioner hummed quietly. Outside, rain tapped against the window. Then Gabriel lifted his opposite hand.
“Trust me?”
The question was unusually sincere. You looked at him. Really looked at him. Past the smirks. Past the tricks, past the endless jokes—And found someone who seemed genuinely worried about you. Slowly, you nodded. Gabriel smiled. Gentle. Almost shy.
Then he cupped your cheek, his hand slowly moved up to your temple, his thumb brushed against your eyebrow.. You then seen a soft glow from his palm from the corner of your eye
Warmth spread through you immediately. Not heat. Not magic forcing you unconscious. Just warmth. Like sinking beneath blankets fresh from the dryer. Like sitting beside a fireplace after being cold for too long. Like finally exhaling after holding your breath for years. Your shoulders relaxed. Then your neck. Then every muscle you hadn’t realized was tense. The constant buzzing in your mind began to quiet. Thoughts that had been racing for hours slowed. The noise faded. Not completely. Just enough.
Your eyes widened, or at least as much as they could due to the sleepiness weighing your eyes down.
“Gabriel…”
Golden light flickered briefly behind his eyes. His grace, Soft, Careful, Gentle in a way you would’ve never imagined possible.
“I know,”
he murmured. Your eyelids suddenly felt heavy. Very heavy. The first genuine wave of sleep you’d felt in weeks washed over you.
“What did you do?”
A small smile appeared on his face.
“Nothing scary.”
Your eyes were already drifting shut.
“Promise?”
“I promise.. Just my grace, it won't hurt you, I won't let it”
Gabriel’s hand found your hair, stroking it softly. His touch was careful and gentle, it was as though you were something precious, Something fragile.
“You can sleep,”
he said quietly. The words wrapped around you as gently as his grace did, Safe, Warm, Certain. You felt yourself sinking deeper into the mattress. The exhaustion you’d been carrying for weeks finally catching up to you. For the first time in a long time, sleep didn’t feel impossible. It felt easy, natural. Your body relaxed fully against him. You were too tired to be embarrassed, too tired to move. For a second he froze. He's never been this seriously physically intimate with someone, let alone a human. He was very careful and relaxed. A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
“Yeah,”
he whispered, looking down at you.
“There you go...”
The last thing you felt before sleep claimed you completely was Gabriel brushing a strand of hair away from your face. And for the rest of the night, the Archangel stayed exactly where he was. Making sure nothing disturbed your dreams.. And he even went out of his way to pop in your dreams and check on you.. Some of them were you and the Winchesters, others were you and him.. Though he’d never admit it out loud, something settled in Gabriel’s chest as he looked down at you. Humans were fragile. Temporary. Gone in the blink of an archangel’s eye. But somehow that only made him want to stay longer. To keep you safe. To make sure you got another tomorrow, to make sure you knew how much he loves you.
OH EM GEEEE this is my first Gabriel fic! and its also my first request, I was so excited about this that I started to work on it right after I seen it!!!! I hope you enjoy to whoever requested it!!!!
summary: Guardian Angels have been largely relegated to the past. But after reconnecting with his angel radio, a call comes through that changes Gabriel's priorities.
pairing: Gabriel x Win-sister!Reader genre: hurt/comfort
notes/warnings: trust issues, brief mentions of violence, feelings of inadequacy, & fears of abandonment
Another job well done. Well, kind of.
Sure, the Shtriga you and your brothers had been hunting was dead, everyone had made it out alive, and in your mind that was all that mattered. But to your silent observer, something else was frighteningly apparent.
You have always been independent. At least that was what you called having deep-seeded trust issues that made it difficult to truly put your faith in anything but your own abilities. It was less about being let down and more a fear of letting others down who depended on you. The love you have for your family runs deep, but deeper still is the dread you feel at the thought of not being strong enough to keep up with your big brothers who, from the time you knew how to hold your first shotgun, were your heroes. They seemed to do the impossible on an almost daily basis, all the while making sure to spend time with you, teaching you how to survive in a world full of darkness lurking around every corner.
For most of your life, they were the only people in the world that you truly trusted. Until it all went wrong. It began with small things. A little white lie here, a half-truth there. Building and building until it became too monstrous to ignore and finally tore your family apart.
Sam had chosen a demon and the power she could provide over your family, a choice he is now trying to make amends for, and Dean can’t seem to find it within himself to forgive him, instead resorting to bottling up his pain and drinking copious amounts of alcohol to try to numb his regret.
Despite your brothers being physically by your side, they might as well be miles away in opposite directions, leaving you somewhere in the middle, not knowing what to think and who to trust. Unbeknownst to you, someone has been with you through it all. You just couldn’t see him.
Being assigned a guardian angel is rare these days. Heaven is rather busy so the tradition has since fallen by the wayside, but it does still happen. Even less common is the invocation of archangels in the tradition of guardianship. Especially the one who tends to let Heaven’s calls go to voicemail.
Gabriel could not remember the last time he felt the pull. It must have been centuries. Only recently, with all of the ‘Apocalypse’ noise, had he tuned back in to angel radio, so he was surprised to even receive an assignment at all. Everything in him told him to ignore it, to just pretend he hadn’t heard a thing and move on playing the part of the happy-go-lucky trickster, but when he heard your name he froze. ‘ Y/n Winchester? No. There’s… There’s no way that was right.’ he thought to himself in disbelief.
The name Winchester was enough to stop most supernatural creatures in their tracks, but Gabriel was anything but frightened by it. The Winchester boys were some of his favorite toys to play with when he needed some entertainment, but the girl was a different story. Ever since your first meeting on that college campus all those years ago when you looked him dead in the eyes while driving a stake through his chest (‘well, the illusion of my chest, but still’, he thought) there was something about you he just couldn’t shake. You were fierce and feminine, lethal and graceful, and overall unforgettable. In the years since, he has wondered how you were doing. Whether or not you kept that same spark that made you so electric, so incandescent in his eyes.
He supposes it is possible that his selective hearing has struck again, making him hear what he wanted to instead of what he should. The one thing he could not blame on his hearing, though, was the pull. Like an invisible string being reeled ever tighter, he felt this irresistible urge to be near you. As if everything in his being were responding to some innate primal directive to protect and defend. It was the most human feeling he has ever experienced. This is not the first time he has felt this pull, but it is definitely the strongest, and if he is being honest, that thought terrifies him. One thing he knew for certain, he couldn’t tell you.
‘This is not gonna end well.’ he thought with a roll of his eyes, taking stock of his situation as he attempted to pinpoint the location of your soul. His guardian status allowed him to sense your presence even with the warding carved into your ribs. ‘She’s either going to try to kill me or…no she’ll probably just try to kill me,’ he said to himself with a little chuckle. ‘Well, let’s see what she’s up to.’
Finding you, he made the decision that it would be best to remain invisible to you and your friends. This way he could both insure your safety, and avoid having to actually explain what the hell he was doing there until he could come up with a plausible excuse that wouldn’t make him seem like a total creep. One that you would actually believe because knowing your current hatred for all things halo that wasn’t exactly undeserved, he imagined you would not be too trusting of your Heaven-appointed bodyguard if you knew the truth.
Being careful to mask the sound of his wings, he landed in what appeared to have once been the living room of a house in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Scanning the room, he noticed the piles and piles of old books, torn and peeling wallpaper, a small crackling fire in a soot-covered fireplace, the smell of dripping candle wax flooded his senses, but more than anything else, he noticed you. As beautiful as the day he met you, he found you curled up on a couch by the bay window with your nose in a book, apparently reading up on some new monster that needed putting down. There was a definite relief in being in your presence and feeling the loosening of the pull, like when a bungee cord returns to its normal state after being stretched. The pleasant sensation was supposed to compel the angel feeling it to be near their ward. ‘Like I needed any further convincing’ he thought to himself.
An older man he did not recognize was talking to your brothers while leafing through one of the many, many books on his desk, explaining a bit of lore he had uncovered in what sounded like an obscure translation of Revelations. The telltale flap of wings pulled him from his thoughts, Gabriel turned his head, his amber eyes meeting a pair of sapphires that he hadn’t expected to see. Castiel’s eyes widened in surprise, obviously not expecting to find an archangel casually observing his friends. Quickly, Gabriel brought a finger to his lips in an attempt to garner the seraph’s silence and keep him from announcing Gabriel’s presence to the whole group. Instead, Castiel walked swiftly toward his brother, lifted his hand to grasp Gabriel’s shoulder, and in a flutter of wings they were gone.

You stood looking at Raphael’s now dead body as the sprinklers in the parlor began to go off. With a groan, you looked up to Sam who shook his head as the water poured down on your heads.
“Haven’t we been through enough?”
Sam asked, shoving his now wet hair out of his face as Amelia stared up at the water falling down on her face. You, meanwhile, turned and walked across the room to pick up your angel blade that had fallen on the floor. As much as you wanted to, internally, celebrate Raphael’s grizzly demise…you couldn’t. Not only had Amelia witnessed it but you would have to explain this one to Gabriel. You weren’t 100% sure how he would take this but you were totally positive that he wouldn’t be happy.
“Well, isn’t this special?”
You murmured before turning back to Sam. Amelia came over to hold your hand with a scrunched-up face. Whether it be the innocent comment in the face of horrific darkness or it just being funny, both Sam and yourself laughed.
“Yuck, I’m all wet.”
You lovingly stroked your niece’s face.
“We should go home.”
Arriving back at the bunker, Sam reached out to grab your hand before you opened the door.
“Let’s not blurt it out about Raphael dying. We should probably ease into it.”
You nodded.
“Maybe ask them to play twenty questions? Like the first one will be why we are all soaking wet…Sam, you know that I’m a blurter.”
Sam rolled his eyes.
Sam: “Try to be different today. I know that you have unofficially declared war on Gabriel and Dean but this is big.”
You had to agree with that one. Killing an archangel was beyond big. This had to be your “biggest accomplishment” to date. Unfortunately, it wasn’t an accomplishment that you were presently proud of.
“Yeah, you’re right. Well, let's get this over with.”
You pushed the door open and walked inside. As you suspected, the moment that you walked in soaking wet, Gabriel and Dean automatically stood up. Dean looked totally confused as to why you were dripping wet, Sam’s hair was totally stuck to his head, and Amelia sat down to wring out her socks.
“So…why are you all wet? It's not raining outside?”
Gabriel moved to come to you but you stepped away. As much as you wanted nothing more than to crawl on his lap and let him comfort you…that wasn’t about to happen. You had to “face the music” first. Something told you that once you blabbed about just what your trip to the ice cream entailed…cuddling wasn’t going to happen.
“Don’t ask questions that you don’t want the answer to.”
You replied as you tried to squeeze water out of your hair. Dean raised an eyebrow and turned to Gabriel. If he couldn’t get through to you then no one could.
Gabriel was wary of whether or not to open his mouth. After the argument the two of you had, he knew that you weren’t very happy with him. Sure, you would come around and “makeup” with him soon enough but that didn’t help the situation now (when you were still clearly angry with him).
“Sugar…what happened?”
Gabriel finally asked. You took a breath as Sam started shaking his head.
“Oh, Raphael tried to kill us all…just another day.”
Gabriel’s mouth dropped. Had he heard you correctly? Every fiber in his being, whether it be archangel or soul mate, was going crazy. Did you really just say that Raphael had tried to kill you and he wasn’t there to protect you?
“WHAT?”
Dean and Gabriel both shouted at the same time. Before you could open your mouth, Gabriel was in front of you clearly looking for any kind of injuries.
“I’m okay.”
You said softly. Gabriel looked beyond ready to unravel a sweater. You had never seen a more petrified expression on your lover’s face. The cocky attitude that you had left and come home with was rapidly beginning to fade. Now you were left with an exhausted and “blah” feeling.
“Is she okay?”
Dean snapped in Gabriel’s direction as he did the same thing to Sam and Amelia. Gabriel was silent as he looked into your eyes. The expression on his face made it impossible for you to look away. Now was the time that you were again ready to curl up against him and never move.
“She’s fine but I want to know what happened and where is my brother?”
Gabriel was ready to kill Raphael. There would be no forgiving him for this. Even though Gabriel knew that his brothers would launch an attack on you some time; he didn’t think that it would be today. Gabriel found himself wishing that he had never upset you earlier. If he had never brought up leaving to play “I spy” with his brothers then you would never have left the bunker in a fit of rage.
You were quiet a moment longer as Gabriel gently stroked his thumbs over your cheek.
“You won’t find him.”
You finally replied. Gabriel raised an eyebrow. He was tethering between being the concerned lover or losing his ever-loving mind. How he had been able to keep a grip on his temper was still an amazement.
“And why is that, love?”
You groaned. It was the moment of truth. Your attention turned to your niece who was looking at you innocently. Once again, you found your heart aching. You didn’t want Amelia to know what the “family business” was for A LONG time. If it were up to you, Amelia would be able to have a normal childhood without the emotional complications that you grew up with. Unfortunately, it looked like that would not be the case.
Maybe I can stop one bad thing from happening…
You turned back to Amelia with a gentle smile.
“Uh hold on, Amelia, go change your clothes and find Jack.”
The little girl quickly left the room. You waited until you were positive that hse was out of earshot before turning back to your very angry-looking soul mate. Gabriel had his arms crossed over his chest and looked more “archangel” like than ever. You slightly winced before taking a breath.
“Raphael is dead.”
Both Gabriel and Dean’s mouths dropped. Gabriel was the first to be able to even utter a word. Dean moved to sit on the couch. What he was hearing was making him want to faint. How could he have been able to live with himself if something had happened to you? If something happened to Sam, Amelia, for yourself…Dean would never have been able to function ever again. He would have personally gone to Michael and let the archangel “off” him.
“How?”
You were quiet again for a moment. Gabriel, meanwhile, was ready to scream. He wasn’t really “hurt” by the thought of losing Raphael. His brother had pushed him past the point of ever forgiving him. The moment that Raphael threatened you was the moment that Gabriel had no further use for his older brother.
“Y/n, answer the question.”
Gabriel added. You bit your lip before taking a breath. Something told you that you should be proud of yourself. While the whole ordeal was a mess, you still killed Raphael. This task proved not only were you a good hunter but you were on the same level as your brothers. You weren’t some weakling or “little girl” that needed her boyfriend to look after her.
“I shot him with the gun that Dean gave me. Those angel-killing bullets worked.”
Dean’s mouth fell and he moved to just lie flat on his back. While he was proud to hear his perfectly crafted little bullets were able to serve a purpose…he wasn’t totally prepared that you were the one that tested them.
Gabriel stood motionless. He didn’t even say anything for a moment. Had he heard you correctly? Surly his hearing was failing him in some weird way.
“Please tell me that you are joking.”
Gabriel managed to say before putting a hand over his face. Some guardian he was. He had been so irritated with you that he hadn’t even been fully keeping you safe. His thoughts of you being a handful returned yet again.
You shook your head.
“No, Raphael and a bunch of his pals attacked us and he got what was coming to him. Now you don’t have to go off after all…”
You gave Gabriel a frown before turning and going to your bedroom without another word.
When you were out of the room, Gabriel and Dean both turned to Sam.
“Is she telling the truth?”
Dean asked.
“Or is she totally just screwing with us because we ticked her off earlier and you, for whatever reason, decided to play along with it?”
Sam rolled his eyes.
“It's not a joke. We weren’t looking for them. They came to us. Raphael went after her and she shot him.”
Gabriel turned and instantly went after you. He didn’t want to hear anymore. If he heard much else, he would have gone into either a full-blown panic or rage. While he was thankful that Raphael was dead, Gabriel knew that Michael would be livid when he realized what had happened. This was just putting a bigger prize on your head and he couldn’t stand it.
Stepping into the bedroom, Gabriel sighed looking at you. You had your back to him and were busy taking off your soaked bra.
“I suppose you want more information.”
You said after a few seconds. When Gabriel didn’t respond, you turned to face him. You had never seen him look more upset. This was worse than when Michael stood in the middle of the road to make a go at you.
“I am horrified to realize just how close I came to losing you today. I haven’t spent all of this time looking after you and loving you to lose you…and I wouldn’t have been there to save you.”
You didn’t move to say anything immediately. In fact, you wanted Gabriel to know that you did value his feelings. In addition to giving him some comfort in knowing that you didn’t just go after Raphael for shits and giggles.
“I’m okay though, Gabe. I swear to you, I didn’t go after him. I wouldn’t have just gone after him to prove you wrong. When he stepped out of that booth, I had to do something.”
Gabriel stood silently for a moment before pulling you against him. You wrapped your arms around your lover’s shoulders before pressing your forehead against his.
“It could have gone badly.”
Gabriel replied. Putting a hand on your cheek, he breathed your scent in while trying not to think of you dying. While Gabriel didn’t think much of his father anymore, he could only hope that God wouldn’t have paired you as his soul mate only to watch you die. What kind of lesson would that have taught Gabriel? The best that he could think of was unreasonable cruelty.
“But it didn’t.”
You said softly, hoping to comfort Gabriel in someway. It was no secret to you that he was going through every horrible experience that he ever had with Raphael. You knew there were so many events in history Gabriel lived through that you had no clue on. However, something told you that the turmoil going through his mind at the moment was possibly one of Gabriel’s worst moments.
Gabriel tilted your face to his for a kiss. All of the stubbornness left your mind and you were more than happy to enjoy each kiss that he offered.
“It could have.”
Gabriel murmured against your mouth. Stroking a hand up his back, you hovered over where his wings would be. When Gabriel moaned against your mouth, you knew that you had your lover exactly where you wanted him.
“I’ll be careful, love.”
Gabriel gently backed you to the bed before pulling you down with him. The two of you were quiet for a moment. You quietly ran your fingers over Gabriel’s hand. Without him saying a word, you knew that he was still upset. Taking a moment longer, you wiggled your way on top of him.
“Its not that I don’t think you are a capable hunter, Y/n. I know you are. Taking Raphael out only proves it even more. However, do you realize that this will put an even bigger target on us now, don’t you? Michael won’t let this go easily. If we had to be careful before, we have to do so even more. He will be after both of us. I don’t think that you exactly realize how dangerous this is, sugar.”
You lay in silence stroking your fingers over the expanse of Gabriel’s chest and stomach.
“I did actually think about that. That is why I don’t want you out spying on him. I want you with me…where you’re supposed to be. I wish Michael would just suck an egg and leave us alone.”
Gabriel chuckled at that.
“Michael doesn’t know what to do when he isn’t controlling a situation…as you can clearly see. Now, as far as us, I will try my best to stay here. Y/n, you're a hunter. You know that there are times when we all have to do things that we don’t want to. I want nothing more than to be with you all of the time but I have a job to do too. I will, however, promise that I will be as careful as I can. Don’t forget I have a lot of Michael’s tricks memorized. Now, I want to kiss every inch of your body…”
A few hours later…
You quietly snuck out of your room for a drink of water. Glancing at the clock, you were relieved to see a late hour. The last thing that you wanted was to run into Dean with all of the love bites on your neck that Gabriel had left. As you walked quietly through the hallways, you muttered a quick thank you to Chuck for makeup.
Stepping into the kitchen, you were so lost in your thoughts that you didn’t notice Chuck sitting at the table. He grinned the moment that he saw you.
“You’re welcome.”
You stopped dead in your tracks before turning to face Chuck. Your eyes widened before clutching your silk robe together.
“Damn it, Chuck! Do you just sneak up on people? What the hell?”
Chuck shrugged innocently before taking in your appearance. You were always such a nice thing to look at. Tonight, however, Chuck could clearly see what you were up to for the past few hours.
“I see Gabriel is enjoying himself with you.”
You blushed, crossing your legs. The last thing that you wanted was for Chuck to see any sign of Gabriel’s come dripping down your legs.
“I did not need to know that.”
Chuck quickly squeaked. You blushed before crossing your arms over your chest.
“Maybe stop reading my mind without my consent and you won’t hear things that will make your cringe. What can I say? Your son has an insatiable sex drive and I do well at keeping up.”
Chuck’s mouth dropped.
“Okay okay! We can stop this conversation.”
You gave Chuck a cocky smirk.
“Figured as much. So what do we owe the pleasure of your presence? We haven’t heard from you in…in well years.”
Chuck nodded.
“Sorry, I have been away. I heard about Raphael.”
You winced. If this was what Chuck had come for then you knew that you were in for one hell of a tongue lashing.
“Yeah, well…sorry about capping your son. I can assure you, he was totally stunned when I pulled a gun on him”
Chuck blinked.
“I mean, he kind of asked for it. No harm no foul.”
You stood looking at Chuck stupidly. Had he really said “no harm, no foul” over you killing his son.
“I expected some kind of anger…or something…”
Chuck giggled.
“Well, I’m not here for that. I’m actually here to talk to you about something else. Anyhow, how are things with Gabriel and yourself? I have sensed a lot of angst from the two of you.”
You began to twirl a strand of hair around your finger. Was Chuck really here for gossip?
“We’re fine now…I suppose. All of this with your other thugged out archangel’s is causing some chaos. Maybe you can miracle your way over to Michael and tell him to go fuck off. He is on this ego trip about you making me Gabriel’s soul mate. He seems to think that we are going to go create a nephilim or something.”
You considered telling Chuck to go fuck himself because thanks to his rules you could never have a child. How were you supposed to tell Chuck that “his choices” were what seemed to be driving a wedge between the two of you?
“Easier said than done. You’re doing great with Jack.”
You frowned at Chuck’s response.
“Yeah, well, he’s not ours and he tends to do well. Maybe you should tell Jack that. After all, you haven’t met your grandson. You’re missing out.”
You turned to get yourself a cup of tea while wondering just where Gabriel was. He would be “thrilled” to see the father that abandoned him. You mentally told yourself that might not be such a good idea, after all. The last thing that you wanted was to have to clean up after some epic showdown between Chuck and a very pissed-off Gabriel.
Chuck meanwhile watched you with a mischievous glint in his eye. He knew that he was about to drop a bombshell on you and he couldn’t wait to see your reaction.
“You do very well with Jack that’s why you’re pregnant. Congratulations!”
You dropped your cup before spinning around to stare at Chuck. Had you heard him correctly? Did he just say the “P” word that would result in another nephilim child? Surly you were going crazy and this was some weird dream. There could be no way this was actually happening.
The next thing you knew, Chuck walked over and pinched you.
“OW!”
You squealed, nearly ready to punch Chuck in the face.
“I wouldn’t do that. You would break your hand and it wouldn’t be good for your baby.”
Your mouth dropped yet again.
“Chuck you are saying a lot of words that don’t go into my vocabulary and I am VERY concerned.”
Chuck giggled as if he was telling you some huge joke.
“You shouldn’t be. I know what you have wanted and am giving it to you.”
Your head was spinning as you moved to sit down.
“I mean my dream isn’t to die…”
Chuck finished making you a fresh cup of tea and sat it down in front of you.
“You aren’t going to die, silly. I would never let you die. I actually adore you. That is why I paired you with Gabriel.”
Your mind went immediately to your lover who was still in the bedroom. How was he going to handle this? Most likely not well. He had been so against even speaking about nephilim from day one. How would he react to the realization that he was about to have one of his very own?
“You’re messing with me, right? Is this for me not responding to your cat Tik Tok’s that you sent me?”
You asked. Chuck just stared at you.
“After that little romp that you had with Gabriel in your car…that did the trick.”
You made a face before covering yourself.
“Gross! You were watching us! That’s fucked up, man.”
Chuck shook his head.
“I didn’t watch…watch. I just overheard what was going through both of your heads. It wasn’t hard to miss. Anyway, long story short, you're going to be a mommy. Congratulations!”

Challenge: @justagirlinafandomworld ’s Flash Fiction Challenge 3. Prompt - I Wish I Could Break Your Heart by Cassadee Pope
Pairing estranged Gabriel x reader, Castiel x reader
WC: 110 (I’ve been so well behaved this entire time, but this one needed the extra 10 I swear!)
You want revenge, ice cream and your angel blade back.
Sitting on your motel bed with a spoon in your mouth, check.
The other two things, tricky.
He knew better than to leave you with the only thing that could hurt him.
“I’ll hand it back when you’re in a better mood, Sugar.”
It made the cold treat sour your tongue.
You weren’t the only person with an angel blade. But... that would be too easy. Far too much. You had to get him where it hurt. Luckily, he wasn’t the only angel around. There was another with crystal eyes.
You dialed the number, reclining on the bed. “Hey, Cassie.”

Part Six:
The two appeared in a blink of an eye in their hotel room. Y/N had seemingly gone numb by this point and simply changed into her favorite comfy pajamas and crawled onto the bed patting the space beside her for Gabriel to join her. Which he did after himself changing into some soft jersey knit lounge pants. He climbed into the bed next to Y/N waiting to see if she wanted him to hold her or she simply wanted him next to her. He laid next to her and lifted his arm just waiting to see if she would curl into his side and place her head on his chest. The expression on his face soft knowing the turmoil that she had to have felt inside.
He had never hidden from Y/N the risks and dangers associated with a relationship with him. He felt she needed to be well aware of what could and would happen. He never wanted this for her. The fear, the not knowing if in nine months whether or not she’d live or die. He hated himself and blamed himself for letting this happen to the first woman in over a millennia that caught his attention and won his heart.
Gabriel wanted to apologize to her again, but he didn’t have it in him to break the silence. Y/N finally curled into his side, and he wrapped his arm around her. He gave her a gentle loving squeeze as he felt her drape her arm over his abdomen. He moved just enough to place a kiss on her forehead when he felt her cling to him. He could feel the emotion vibration off of Y/N and knew that the silence was her way of trying to process and that she would break the silence when she was ready. There was nothing good going to come from trying to force a conversation with her before she was ready.
He knew that the chances of her actually sleeping that night were nonexistent, but that didn’t stop him from hoping she would. They laid there together for what seemed like hours before he noticed that she had started to silently cry again. He held onto her a little tighter and did his best to calm her. He shifted slightly to get a better look at her before he spoke gently, “Sweetheart. Talk to me, please…” His brows furrowed with concern for Y/N, and he watched her for signs of a response.
Y/N looked at him with a soft sad expression on her face and shook her head not wanting to answer him at first but him saying her name in Enoichian changed her mind. Her tone was filled with sorrow as were her eyes as she spoke, “Gabe, I don’t want to leave either of you.” She paused as she felt her voice cracking. “Please don’t let me die, I don’t want to die…”

MASTERLIST REQUEST RULES
The day she was born, Gabriel felt something pull at his wings. It felt as if his heart longed to be somewhere else - to be with someone. At first, he managed to ignore this strange longing but soon his emotions overwhelmed the archangel and every movement hurt him.
So he spread out his golden wings and flew where his heart wanted to be. He found himself in a nursery, in front of a crib. The baby inside was crying and staring at him with her innocent eyes. At that moment he knew what pulled at him. He needed to be with this child. He needed to protect her at all costs.
Since that day he never left (Y/n)s side, always there and always watchful. Gabriel managed to hide himself from every human eye besides her. He calmed her down when she was crying at night, cradling her to his chest even before her mother could have woken up from her sleep. The archangel helped (Y/n) grow up without getting hurt once.
What made the archangel proud and happy at the same time was that (Y/n)s first word was his name. It was not ma or dada. It was Gabe. Her mother was confused because she did not recognise his name as a word at first. But then (Y/n) said it over and over again and made the archangel very happy.
For the little girl it was always her mother and the friendly man with the golden wings. There was no father for a long time. Until John Winchester turned up at the little familys door step. He was around for a hunt and remembered (Y/n)s mother with which he slept the last time he was there.
John Winchester did not look really impressed or surprised when he set his eyes on the little girl. Actually, he did not show any emotions. (Y/n) was currently laughing at the stupid face Gabriel made when John entered the kitchen. And Gabriel as recognised him, he immediately understood why he felt that pull towards (Y/n) years ago.
(Y/n) was the youngest Winchester, just like he was the youngest archangel. And the girl will have to watch her brothers fight and kill each other - just like Gabriel.
Whenever John Winchester returned over the next years, Gabriel felt something ache inside him. He did not like the man and the worst was seeing him interact with his little girl. He may be her biological father but Gabriel knew that he would never love her more than the archangel.
The older (Y/n) got, the stranger she found the fact that she could see a man with golden wings. At first, she loved spending time with the archangel and saw him as a brother. She played with him and sometimes even cuddled him at night. Gabriel was the one who taught her how to ride a bike, how to braid her hair and so many other things. Because her mother was slightly overstrained with working, cleaning the house and having to care for a little girl, Gabriel sometimes was the only reason (Y/n) would laugh.
But like every human, (Y/n) grew up and couldn‘t quiet understand why the archangel was always at her side. That is why Gabriel hid himself from her too. (Y/n) fell asleep one afternoon and the next her friend was gone. The girl was sad but quickly accepted it.
From now on Gabriel watched her from afar, only interacting when he felt like it was necessary. Which was more often the case than he wanted to admit.
Gabriel punished the boys who bullied her in the kindergarten. He almost poisoned the teacher who did not take (Y/n) seriously. And the archangel tortured the boys who teased her in college.
During her last year of college, (Y/n)s mother died. She got killed by a shapeshifter which had almost killed the girl too if she had not had an archangel on her shoulder. That day Gabriel showed himself to her for the first time in years. To his surprise, (Y/n) hugged him and sighed happily his name. She remembered him as clear as the day.
They stuck together since then, meeting the Winchester brothers and moving inside the bunker even though Sam and Dean wanted no trickster inside their home. But (Y/n) convinced them that Gabriel can be a big help and is her friend.
Gabriel did everything to protect (Y/n) from the dangerous job the Winchesters do but eventually the girl wanted to be a hunter too. She wanted to avenge her mothers death and help people.
Saving people. Hunting things. The family business.
And that‘s how they ended up here: in a vampire nest. At first the little family (Sam, Dean, Cas, (Y/n) and Gabriel) thought it was a small nest but now that they are standing in front of what looks like more than a dozen vampires, they see their mistakes.
The hunters jump at the vampires and behead them quickly. Gabriel is always at (Y/n)s side, protecting her like he is supposed to but then one particular nasty vamp comes at the archangel from behind. The vampire pulls Gabriel to the ground and away from his little girl.
It happens too fast for Gabriel and the other hunters to notice. They are all in their separate fights. No one notices (Y/n) getting hurt.
When Gabriel manages to kill his vampire, all the fights have already stopped. The hunters won. They have smiles on their lips until they look at the only female in the hut. (Y/n) presses her hands against her stomach and blood runs from her nose and mouth. Her eyes meet Gabriels for one second, then she falls to the floor.
Every one runs to the hurt girl and tries to help her. Gabriel is the first at her side and stares at her with tears in his eyes. He can‘t lose her. She is what makes him whole and happy.
The archangel places his hands on her stomach to heal her, already fearing that it‘s too late. Now the tears run over his face, and he can‘t control his feelings.
“Come on, cupcake. We can do this!“, he says and doesn`t know if he says it to calm down (Y/n) or himself.
A glow envelops the girls stomach and the next moment the only thing reminding her of her pain, is the blood on her shirt. Gabriel sighs relieved and helps (Y/n) sitting up. She is still weak but not weak enough to deny him a hug. Gabriel feels her warmth which calms him down.
Sam, Dean and Cas are still kneeling next to the two, not knowing what to do or say. At least, they were about to lose a family member. They are as relieved as Gabriel.
“Thanks for being the archangel on my shoulder“, (Y/n) whispers after parting from Gabriel. She smiles at him while she wipes off every single tear from his face.

Sam Winchester Bingo Masterlist.
Sam Winchester. Okay, maybe not the hottest guy in school, but he had his charms. He was sweet, quiet, good looking and tall. Damn, was he tall. You’ve talked to him before, at school, at parties like this. Drinks were flowing, music was blasting through speakers that shook the windows. And you got lucky enough that when you whispered to Sam that it was too loud down there, he nodded and led you up to a bedroom.
As soon as the door was shut behind you and you had locked it, your lips were on his, drinks discarded onto someone’s dresser and forgotten. Sam’s kiss was reluctant, awkward. You figured it was the shock of you making that first move paired with all the drinks he’d been pounding back all night, so you continued to lead. Guys like that anyways, right?
You started pushing him back, keeping him moving and not letting him go, keeping the kiss going until he fell back against the bed, sitting there, looking up at you with something in his eyes you couldn’t quite read.
Your lips met his again, a little sweeter this time as you climbed into his lap, knees digging into the mattress on either side of him. “Wait.” he mumbled as you pressed yourself closer to him, fingers in his hair and holding him close. “Wait, wait-” He pulled back, and you gave him a confused look.
“What’s wrong?” He didn’t answer right away, and you chuckled. “It’s okay, Sam, I’m sober enough to know what I want. You don’t have to-” as you spoke, you were leaning in for another kiss, but he stopped you. “Do you not want me?” Sam looked down, licking his bottom lip as you sat back against his thighs, giving him a bit more space. “Sam-”
“I’m-” He started to speak but he couldn’t seem to finish.
It was like it clicked in your head. “I don’t have what you want..” you breathed out in realization. Suddenly there was fear in his eyes, his nails scratching against your jeans as his fingers tightened on your thighs. “Hey-” You cupped his face, making him look up, but he pulled his head away.
“Fuck off.”
“Sam-” He shook his head, but you grabbed him again, forcing him to look at you. “It’s not a big deal.” you chuckled softly.
“Says you. Lesbians are ‘so hot’.” he mocked.
“I won’t tell anyone.” You chuckled softly, watching him but not getting off his thighs. “You can trust me.”
“Yeah, right.”
“My brother’s gay, Sam.” His eyes came up to meet yours at the confession. “It’s really not a big deal to me. All you had to do was tell me and I wouldn’t have thrown myself at you.” you smiled at him.
“Didn’t exactly want anyone knowing.” Sam mumbled, picking at a loose thread on the edge of your shirt.
“Know what you need?”
“What?”
Your smile widened. “A fake girlfriend.” Sam cocked an eyebrow. “Look, we’re up here, right? There’s no way that went unnoticed. We’ll just pretend we had a bit of fun. You save face with those dicks downstairs, I get to have a hot date for lunch hour, and I’ll introduce you to my older brother.”
“Just because he’s gay too, doesn’t mean I want to fuck him.”
You laughed and shoved at his shoulders. “To have someone to talk to, you idiot.”
“Why would you do that for me?”
You shrugged. “Because I remember what he went through. We’re friends, Sam. I don’t want to see you as broken as I remember seeing him.” Sam gave you a small nod. “Deal?”
“Deal. So how do we-” he was cut off by you shoving him back on the bed.
You leaned down to whisper in his ear. “Don’t be quiet.” with a grin, you sat back up, still on his thigh, and started bouncing on him. You chuckled at the surprise on his face as the bed under him started to creak and groan with the motion. “That’s it, Sam.” you praised out loud. “Yeah, right there.”
Sam started to laugh, but the look you shot him made him hold it in. His tongue darted out to lick his bottom lip, before he blurted out “Your.. pussy feels so good.” You couldn’t help but snort, and you both muffled your laughs. “Sorry.” he whispered behind the hand he had covering his mouth. “Dirty talk is not my strong suit.”
“It’s good.” you shook your head at him, getting yourself back up right. “It was just.. so weird coming out of you like that.”
“Fuck off. Dirty bitch.”
“Oh! That’s the good stuff. Say it again, Sam!”
“Oh, god.” Sam rolled his eyes at you, but smiled all the same. “You’re disgusting.”
“I’m your girlfriend now, handsome. That means you’re disgusting, too.”
You chewed on your bottom lip as you knocked on the open door. His room was the last in the hall, right next to yours. “Gabe? Can we talk?”
He looked up from his computer, turning his chair completely around as he watched you stand awkwardly in his doorway. “What’d they do, now?”
You smiled at him. “Nothing, I promise.” He motioned for you to come in, so you stepped in before shutting the door behind you. You crossed the room to his bed and sat on the edge before sighing.
“What’s up, kiddo?”
“I uhm. I sorta of have a boyfriend.”
“Oh, Jesus Christ.” Gabriel muttered with a shake of his head. “Mikey and Luci are gonna lose their shit.”
“I said ‘sort of’ Gabriel.” He waited for you to elaborate. “I want you to meet him.”
“Why? Why me? I don’t usually meet ‘em unless I’m holding Luci back from killing them. What changed?”
“He’s gay.” Gabriel’s eyebrows shot up at that. “He’s scared about people finding out.” Gabe shook his head, and turned his chair back towards his computer. “Please, Gabriel? He’s really nice, especially to me. He always looks out for me at parties.”
Gabriel turned to look at you again. “Pumpkin-”
“He reminds me of you.” That gave him pause. “Remember when everyone found out? Mike and Luci didn’t care too much, but Raph, he spread it everywhere and treated you like shit. You cried, Gabriel. Every damn night. I remember it because I was there, I held you any time you would let me.” He sighed. “Please. I’m covering for him, I don’t mind that, it was my idea. I just want him to know he isn’t alone, you know? Please? He’s a really sweet kid and I don’t want them to break him.”
“Mikey’s got work tonight. Luci is out doing whatever the fuck he’s out doing. I’ll tell Raph to fuck off. Invite him over for dinner.”
Your grin was wide when you leapt up and threw yourself at him. “I knew I could count on my favorite big brother.”
“Yeah, yeah. You owe me.” he muttered.
When Sam showed up for dinner, he had smiled nervously at you as he stepped into the house, but once his attention turned to the man who stepped out of the kitchen, he froze, smile falling from his face.
“Sam, this is one of my brothers, Gabriel. Gabe, this is Sam.”
“I’m the favourite brother.” Gabe smirked, hand reaching out for Sam’s.
You smiled, watching Sam as he tried to sneakily wipe his palm along his jeans before taking your brother’s hand for a shake. “S-Sam. I’m Sam.”
“Yeah, I got that.” Gabe chuckled, glancing to you and how you smiled so brightly. “Dinner will be ready in about 10. You want anything to drink?”
“Wa-” Sam’s voice cracked, and he cleared his throat. “Water will be fine, thank you.”
Gabriel laughed. “If you insist, but we’ve got beer, too.” he started for the kitchen.
“Glad I introduced you?” you whispered to Sam with a shit eating grin before skipping off to follow your brother. “Can I have a beer?”
“Hell no. I don’t got a death wish.”
Dinner went well. Gabriel was able to make Sam relax and laugh in no time, but you knew he would, Gabriel had that effect on everyone. Sam was amazed by Gabriel's cooking, raved about it, which just had you wiggling your eyebrows between them and laughing every time Sam blushed bright red.
After dinner, the three of you moved to the living room. Some movie put on that you all half paid attention to. Sam sat between you and Gabriel, letting the two of them talk without them having to talk over you. Sam seemed to be more and more comfortable around Gabe, and that made you happy.
You were all smiling, laughing at some comment Gabriel made when you heard the front door open and everyone got quiet. Your face took on a look of panic when Michael appeared in the hall and glanced in.
He looked from Gabriel, to you, then to the boy between the two of you. “Who’s this?”
This wasn’t good. You were about to answer when Gabriel spoke first. “A friend.”
“A friend?” Michaels eyes shot to you, and he found you biting your bottom lip nervously. “Bullshit.” he spat before heading up the hall.
“Mikey, wait!” you shot up from your seat and hurried after him. When you caught up to him, he was entering the bottom floor master, and he was fuming. “Please, just listen to me-”
“Did you think I wouldn't fucking find out? That I wouldn’t be pissed?” he spun around on you. “I’m fucking livid! You know how we feel about you having a fucking boyfriend, and you bring him here when I’m not home? Are you fucking insane?”
“Mike-”
“What if Luci had come home first, huh? You think Gabe alone could stop him from killing the fucking guy?” Tears brimmed in your eyes. You hated disappointing him, he might be your brother, but he’d always been more of a father to you. “You know how he is when it comes to you. Remember when you were fuckin’ 13? Remember what happened?” You nodded sadly. “You want that to happen again?”
“No.”
“Then tell me why you thought this shit was a good fucking idea?”
“He’s gay, Michael.”
“What?”
You sighed, and wiped at your eyes before looking up at him again. “He’s gay.”
He stared at you for a minute before scoffing. “Yeah fucking right. His ass better be out of here in 5 minutes or I’m letting Luci-”
“He’s gay.” you reiterated. “No one knows. Remember what happened to Gabe when he was in school and everyone found out? Remember how fucked up he was? I don’t want Sam to go through that, so I told him I’d be his pretend girlfriend and I introduced him to Gabe so he’d have someone to talk to. Please, Mike, I’m telling you the truth.”
He kept his eyes on you as he moved past you, only taking them off of you when he was out in the hall and then he stormed his way back to the living room, you rushing behind him, begging him to believe you. “You fucking gay?” the words exploding out of his mouth the second he stopped in the doorway. Sam was standing with Gabriel, eyes wide with fear before they shot to you. You gave him a small nod, letting him know it was okay to answer. “Are you fucking my sister?” he demanded.
“No.” Sam swallowed. “I’m not fucking her.”
“You could stand to have a little more tact, Mikey.” Gabriel scolded.
“Fuck your tact.” Michael spat at him, still worked up.
“Mikey, please..” you moved around him, stopping in front of him and doing your best to play on his heart strings. “You can tell Luci if he swears to keep it quiet, but Raph can’t know. You remember how much of a dick he was to Gabe, he’s an asshole and I don’t want to risk it. If you and Luci seem okay with it, he won’t do shit about me and Sam.”
Everyone was quiet for a minute, Michael’s eyes burning into Sam and Gabriel, then he looked down at you. Before he could say anything, the door opened and Raphael strolled in. “Am I allowed in my own fucking house now?” he asked as he slammed the door behind him. “What’s going on?” When he looked into the living room and saw Sam, he furrowed his brows. “Who the fuck is this?”
“Please, Mikey.” you begged.
“Oh shit!” Raph’s face all but lit up. “I got kicked out so the little princess could sneak in a boyfriend! Fuck, you’re dead. Luci just pulled in.” He pointed to Sam.
“Who’s dead?” Lucifer walked in, shutting the door behind him. “What the fuck happened now?”
“Someone’s got a boyfriend.” Raph grinned. He always did like to rile either Lucifer or Michael up as much as he could.
“What!?” Lucifer started to storm in, pushing past everyone to get into the room. “You better fucking start running.” he threatened, finger pointed right at Sam who looked terrified.
He wasn’t the only one. At the look of fear in your eyes, Michael grabbed Lucifer and pulled him back. “We need to talk.”
“She knows the fucking rules.”
“Now. Raph, fuck off.”
“No, this is the most interesting thing to happen-”
“Fuck off!” Michael screamed at him. “You two, upstairs.”
“So, what, she’s got a boyfriend and we’re just going to let that happen?” He looked from a fuming Lucifer to you standing between them and Sam. “Since when don’t we let Luci just beat-”
“GET THE FUCK OUT!”
“Fuck, okay. Jesus Christ.” He glared at his two older brothers before storming back towards the door and out. “Fuck this bullshit.” he spat.
“Upstairs while the grown ups talk.” Michael spoke again, just a little calmer as he pinned a fighting Lucifer to the wall. You grabbed Sam’s hand and rushed for the stairs while Lucifer spat profanity at everyone.
The sound of it followed you up the stairs, only cutting out once your door shut behind Sam. “So.. how many brothers do you have?” he asked nervously.
“Just the 4, thank fuck.” you groaned, dropping onto your bed.
“They’re uh- they’re really over protective..”
You nodded. “Yeah, I’m sorry, I should have warned you about that.. I had hoped I’d have time to talk to Michael before you met anyone other than Gabriel.”
“If they’re that protective, I don’t think I want to meet your dad.” Sam chuckled nervously before sitting next to you on the bed.
“Luci is who you need to worry about. My dad isn’t really around, Michael pretty much raised me. I’m not just the baby of the family, I’m the only girl. I’m the last link to mom. Luci loved mom more than anything and he was her favourite. When mom died..”
“Mom dies, dad goes off the deep end and big brother takes over?” You looked up at him, confused how he knew. “Dean, my older brother, raised me too.”
“Luci doesn’t let anyone near me. Michael raised me, but Lucifer… he was my prince when I was little.” you smiled. “My knight in shining armour, always protecting me. There’s a reason I’m not allowed to date despite being damn well old enough.” you sighed. “When I was 13, I liked this guy. Rob. He liked me.” you smiled softly before ducking your head down. “He was 15. No idea why he was interested in me, but I wasn’t questioning that. I only knew him because he was always at my friends house with her older brother. He took me out on a date, Michael had approved of it, and it went fine.”
“What happened?”
“Rob told his buddies that he’d done more than he did with me. When I heard, it broke my heart. I called Luci crying from school during 5th period. By the final bell, he was waiting outside. We found Rob with his friends, Luci threw him at my feet and made him apologize for lying. Then he punched him. Broken nose, broken jaw.. One of the other kids called the police and Luci was arrested.”
“Jesus Christ..”
“He has anger issues, that’s no secret to anyone who knows us. But he looks at me like I’m his last link to mom because I look just like her. I remind him of her. To him, I need protecting at all cost, especially from men who would just hurt his precious little princess.”
Sam nodded, understanding a little better. “Well, I have no intention of hurting you.” he gave you a smile, hand going to your thigh to reassure you.
“Let’s hope Luci believes that.”
The door burst open so fast it slammed against your wall and the knob left a dent. Sam’s hand jerked away as if burned when he saw it was Lucifer in the doorway. “You hurt my fucking sister and I’ll rip your balls off and feed them to you, am I fucking clear?”
“Crystal.” Sam nodded quickly.
“Did Mikey-”
“Yeah.”
“Are you going to tell Raph?”
“No.”
“Thank you, Luci.” You got up from your bed and rushed to him, wrapping your arms around his waist and hugging him tight. He held you tight, and you were sure he was still glaring at Sam over your head, but the fact that he wasn’t swinging a fist, you’d take it. “I knew my prince would understand.”
“Fuck off.” he pushed you away, but you could tell he was fighting to hide his smile. “I’m serious, fake or not, you better not hurt my fucking sister.”
“I have no intention to.”
“Good. Now fuck off. Go home. It’s getting late and there’s school tomorrow.”
“Can you try to be nice?” You gave him an annoyed look.
“Please.” he ground out. “Happy?”
“Getting there.” you teased, sticking out your tongue.
“Hey, Sam.” you leaned in from behind him and kissed his cheek. He was sitting at a table, surrounded by his friends as he ate lunch.
“Hey.” he looked up at you and smiled.
“You two!?” Jason, one of Sam’s friends who was also in your English class, looked between the two of you. “That’s who you were with at the party?” Sam shifted so you could sit on the bench next to him while Jason continued to look shocked. “And you’re still fucking alive!?”
“Why wouldn’t I be?” Sam laughed, arm going around your waist as you shifted closer to him.
“Dude, I gave her a lift home and her brother almost broke my fucking arm!”
“No, you tried to come into my house and my brother almost broke your fucking arm.” you smirked over at him.
“Luci?” Sam asked, and you nodded. “He’s not so bad.” he shrugged as if it was no big deal.
“Not so bad!? Have you even met him? Dude is fucking nuts! No offence.”
“None taken by me, but he might not like the comment.” you teased.
“Winchester’s got balls.” someone walking past chimed in, clapping Sam on the back. “Half the fucking school has been too afraid to touch that.”
You leaned in closer to Sam and whispered “I told you. All you needed was me.” He smiled, pulling you closer and kissing your forehead. “So, who’s hosting the next party?” you asked, eyes scanning everyone else at the table as you friends started to come over and join it.
You had been “dating” Sam for about two months now. You hung out at lunch most days, always went to parties together, and he’d often come over after school, though he had his own reasons for that. He was smitten with Gabriel, not that he would admit it.
You walked out of school, hand in hand with Sam and grinned when you saw Gabriel waiting by a car outside. “Want a ride, cutie?”
“Yes!” You grinned, rushing forward to hug your brother.
“Wasn’t talking to you.” he teased as he hugged you back, laughing when you shoved at him and called him a name.
“Hey Gabriel!” someone called out, and Gabe sent them a wave.
“I’m the cutest damn person here.” you grumbled at him.
“I beg to differ.” he teased, looking to Sam. “Ride? You’re coming over again, aren’t you?”
“Uh-yeah.. Yeah sure.” Sam smiled shyly.
“Then get in.” Sam started for the back door, but Gabriel cut him off by opening the passenger side door and motioning for him to get in. Sam glanced from the door, to Gabriel, then to you only to find you opening the back door and getting in with a smile on your face. “Get in.”
Sam swallowed at the sound of Gabriel’s voice so smooth and so close. He just nodded and hurried around Gabriel and ducked into the seat. Gabe smiled as he shut the door and made his way around to the other side. When he turned to look at you in the seat behind him, he found you pretending to be focused on something else.
“So.” Gabe cut into the silence as he shut the door behind him and started up the engine. “Take out and movies tonight?” He glanced to the rear view at you before side eyeing Sam as he pulled out of the school lot.
“Your room?” you asked.
“If you guys want.”
“I think Sam wants.” you teased under your breath with a shit eating grin.
Sam’s face went beet red as he turned towards the window, shooting you a glare in the side mirror. Gabriel did his best to hide the way his lips curled up at that, pretending he didn’t hear for Sam’s sake. “What was that?”
“Nothing.” you grinned, and when he glanced to the rearview at you again, you could tell by his eyes he had damn well heard you.
Dean loved you, joked you were too good for his baby brother. You had finally met Dean about three months into the relationship. Sam didn’t know it, but Dean had known about Sam for years. He was grateful for what you were doing, though he wished his brother could just be himself. He understood why Sam was afraid. And when Dean met Gabriel a month after that, a shit eating grin had spread over his lips at the way Sam had said Gabe’s name and when he looked at you, and you nodded, confirming his unvoiced suspicion of his brother’s crush, he happily extended his hand to your brother.
Seven months into the relationship, and high school was over, summer had passed and it was off to College. You and Sam celebrated your 1 year anniversary in the California sun. He was your best friend, the one person you trusted more than anything. He was your world, and however long it took him to be comfortable enough to tell others who he was, you’d wait, letting him have that time. He deserved it.
While Michael and Luci had lost their shit about you thinking of moving across the country to go to school with your ‘boyfriend’ (no thanks to Raphael who egged them on constantly) Gabriel had instead bought a house, handed you a key and said “Now you don’t need to live on campus.” and winked.
He had ulterior motives, of course.
Because 6 months after your 1 year anniversary with Sam, you walked into the house after class to a massive mess of baked goods all over the kitchen, and a trail of filthy discarded clothes making its way to the bathroom. You couldn’t help but smile at the sounds coming from behind the closed door.
Banging on it with the side of your fist, you yelled out “HAPPY ONE YEAR, YOU FILTHY ANIMALS!” only to hear them laugh in response.
About 15 minutes later, they had moved to their shared bedroom, and your phone was going off.
>> Hey, I’m in town. Was thinking of grabbing dinner and stopping in, but Sammy isn’t answering.
You smiled seeing the text was from Dean.
<< Sam can’t come to the phone right now, he’s a little occupied. I’m up for a meal, but might I suggest your place, since I doubt you want to hear the animal-like noises coming from their room that I’m being subjected to. It’s loud and messy, cakes everywhere.
>> Point taken.
>> What’s the occasion?
<< 1 year of these too being love sick dorks.
>> Oh shit, that’s today?
>> guess you’ll need a place to sleep? I’ll switch my room for a double, you can crash here.
<< Sounds like a plan, handsome.
>> I’m at Motel 6.
<< Sunnyvale?
>> Yeah, need me to pick you up?
<< I’d never say no to a ride, Winchester.
>> Fuck, you’re going to be the death of me.
>> I’ll see you soon, kid.
