Oh Brett, let us suffer together. Beautifully turned lament songs from the former singer of Suede.
Suede's popularity knew no bounds in Denmark, and for all loyal and devoted Suede fans, Brett Anderson's first solo album is a delight with oceans of weltschmerz in the songs. After the slightly unsuccessful reunion with guitarist Bernard Butler as The Tears, he returns home to himself and his thriving pop ballads. Anderson has turned down the flame to an extent and raises the melancholy tone to the extreme. On the very evocative songs, the shrill guitar has been replaced in favour of strings and a Spanish guitar. It sounds clear that Brett Anderson wanted to make a strong personal album, which has been fully successful. No one doubts that it's still very hard to be called Brett. But he has always had the suffering /hardship in his voice, and no one is more convincing in this field. With his charismatic and coquettish vocals, he draws the listener into this darkness where it’s perfectly legitimate to dwell. As the old pop shark Brett Anderson is, he’s very confident in the album's first three songs. The opening song's title Love Is Dead says it all, but he still shines through stronger on One Lazy Morning. This is followed by the album's only uptempo song Dust And Rain, driven by a thin metallic guitar sound, which gives a violent echo of classic Suede. Brett is indeed back. The rest of the album surprisingly goes into a more searching tone in the perfectionist-spun pop ballads that show that Brett Anderson might be growing up.

I know a lot of you don’t care, but I don’t care that you don’t tbh..
I went to see Harry Styles live on tour yesterday, and it was great and all that jazz! I would just like to point out that in all the major Norwegian publications, they only sent guys to review the show. They all gave him 4/6, which is alright tbh. However the audience was 85% young women, I would argue that around 50% of those were over 18. All the reporters mentioned the prepubescent girls that is his fans, entirely overlooking that a lot of us were young teenagers when 1D started out, but just like them, we are now in our 20′s. And they all mentioned that Harry must’ve hated being in 1D because he’s really wants to play “dad rock” music. 1. Can we erase the term “dad rock” ‘cause I know for a fact that a lot of young girls enjoys that kind of music as well as pure pop music. 2. Harry has repeatedly said he loved being in 1D and he loves performing the 1D songs. 3. They all said his suit was velvet, which it clearly wasn’t so why mention it when you didn’t pay attention properly. 4. Maybe it would have been a good idea to send someone who the show was meant for, and someone who actually did some research on him and the relationship he has with his fans.
