Honest to goodness, this might be the death if me. There was a new woman helping at band practice. Clifford's age, blonde, pretty, no ring. Awesome. As soon as in almost legal, he's probably gonna get a girlfriend. I can just see it now. BUT we had a moment today, I think. I was looking at the drum major and he was standing right beside her in the stand. He could TOTES see my eyes because the sun was shining on my sunglasses and he could see through them. And he saw me look down at the band director's toddler who was running around and I smiled. Then he smiled... And I saw him look at the band and then right back down to me, and he would smile every time. In that moment, I felt loved. I felt like he was the one crushing, ya know? Anyway, it was probably nothing. I think I'm imagining everything.
