janka college au

im writing a fanfic for the first time in years... heres what im proposing:

Zanka is a pre-law major who is born into a family known for producing the best lawyers and wants nothing but to prove to them that he can be as great as the rest of them, not just because he was a Nijiku but because he worked hard. That goal was suddenly interrupted when he started experiencing migraines that turned chronic before he began college. Jabber is a chem/bio-chem major who is a first-gen student and was constantly told he was a 'natural genius' that had great potential, so he stopped doing the things he enjoyed and sort of lost himself until he reached college, where he felt he had enough freedom to rediscover them.

I plan for it be some good ol' strangers to friends to lovers slow burn with lots of mixed feelings about choosing your own path in life and all that. Sorta projecting since im going into college as an english major this fall after spiraling down the 'i dont know im going to do with my life' hole. But that just makes writing this fic 100 times better.

I also plan to post this on AO3 after I get the first chapter done (god knows when that happens). So if you'd like to see that happen my AO3 is zentrixal. If you dont, then I plan to post small snippets of the fic and the au in general here.

I don’t trust Corvus. Don’t come at me but he gives me the EXACT same vibes Tamsy does. It’s like he’s in on it or something, and the tattoo on the back of his head HAS to mean something. I feel like he knows way more than he lets on, like WAY more, he has to be hiding something. He’s so calm and it lowkey kinda creeps me out, JUST LIKE TAMSY. I have a feeling the eye on the back of his head is gonna play a large ass role in the future of Gachiakuta like what if he’s watching over the entirety of the ground, like what if that’s the reason there’s eyes all over the ground? And he’s usually paired with birds, and you know what birds are usually called “watchful eyes” and is heavily symbolized as surveillance. And to go back to the eye on the back of his head, there are multiple imagines of it moving.

The last one is overly suspicious for me bc why was it MOVING and then when someone came in it went back to normal, something really fucking off with that and it’s creeping me out. Like it’s “seeing” something. Maybe it’s like clairvoyance or something on that lines because that’s the vibes it giving me. It’s like a third eye.

And the Cleaners know little to nothing about Corvus. They can’t even say what his favorite thing is, because they don’t even know. This is showing he’s incredibly secretive about his personal life. I think he knows something about the sphere, like a lot more than people think. Maybe he’s even been there but that might be a stretch. Like I said I think he may be like Tamsy.

I just find him incredibly sketchy but don’t get me wrong, I find his character super fucking interesting and if I knew more about him he would definitely be in my top three favorite characters in all of Gachiakuta.
