The glorious Eurasian Jay (Gaio-comum for my Portuguese babes, Geai des chênes for my French cuties) 🐦 a few days ago I asked on my ig stories if you could guess which species this was and I was so happy to see a lot of you got it right! I'm actually surprised because I've only discovered this bird about a year ago and I had no idea we had them in my city, it looks so exotic! Jays belong to the same family as crows, ravens and magpies, so their calls are a bit similar 🌠 The first time I saw one he was hiding in the bushes on a park, but then we found a couple more afterwards 🍄 For my Portuguese babes who live in Coimbra or want to visit it one day, you can spot these guys in Mata Nacional do Choupal or near Quinta de São Jerónimo. They're such charming babies! 🌻
