LEMME JUST RANT ABOUT FICTIONAL BOYS FOR A MOMENT HERE.

It bothers me that when you go to gal games and whatnot, you’ve got these moe girls who barely seem cognizant to decide what to eat, let alone get married, these yandere girls who may or may not LITERALLY MURDER YOU, and these girls who conflate other kinds of affection with romance and fetishize it, and people are like “It’s great!” - you can be like “but that girl will MURDER YOU if you lie” and they’ll laugh and say “Well I just won’t lie!” and that’s totally accepted. Waifu material!!

but then I get to my otome games

and people step in front of me and start waving their arms shouting “THIS ISN’T HEALTHY!!” “This is a totally unsafe romance!” “He’s not a good person to trust!”

Do you think I’m stupid? I don’t know this game is a game?

Do you think I’m somehow desperately lonely, seeking out the romance I’d have in real life if a boy would look at me, so my fictional choices represent my real ones ALWAYS AND EXACTLY? LITERALLY EVERY ASPECT OF THIS IS ME TELLING YOU WHAT I WANT?

Is it that guys can understand fantasies and the fact that fictional people are not real or like real people, but girls can’t?

Why the hell is it that when a dude wants Yuno Gasai as a girlfriend he’s just an otaku dude, but if a girl likes Christian Grey she needs an intervention because girl don’t you know how dangerous he is?!

Don’t treat me like I’m an idiot. Don’t assume that I am incapable of grasping the difference between fantasy and reality, and that things you can enjoy in an idealized situation like fantasy are things I would enjoy in reality. Do you seriously think I’m walking barefoot across America and climbing a mountain range eating only bread because I like Lord of the Rings???

It just frustrates me so much. It’s so hard already to find sexual things geared toward females! And yet! When you find things that are providing that service (even without explicit content) what do I get? PEOPLE TRYING TO TELL ME I CAN ONLY APPRECIATE SOME OF IT, BECAUSE THEY DON’T APPROVE OF OTHERS.

Finally got to listen to Volume 1 of the Whirlpool CD!

I started playing JustyxNasty ~Maou Hajimemashita~ again. It's been a while, but I originally stopped somewhere after the beginning. I know I should've played it more last year but man, I like JxN better than Lunaris Filia ~Kiss to Keiyaku to Shinku no Hitomi~. I've also said this a few times, but I LOVE the opening. It's still my favorite VN opening and song. It's amazing. I'm not just saying that because I like JustyxNasty over Lunaris Filia; it is truly amazing. It's so upbeat and it really inspired me to write Star Legend 2. It still inspires me, even today. You don't know how awesome it is unless you've heard with your own ears. So yeah, I'm really into JustyxNasty. It's just so much fun to play. I know you wouldn't expect a girl to play gal games, but hey, I also play otome games, as shown from the screenshots and pictures on my phone and computer that I've already uploaded on tumblr. You won't know how great gal games can be until you've played them yourself. Anyway, it's nice to update again. I'm going to be posting some more stuff soon, so I hope you like them! --SuzunoKoi
