Okay I saw a post a while ago about how the reason Aelin was so drained and weak when she was being whipped was because she was focusing on keeping the pain away from Rowan. Maybe that's why when they were in Adarlan and she was stabbed that's why Rowan felt that. Because she wasn't prepared or thought to keep the pain away from Rowan. I love Aelin. Shes such a strong and intricate character and I strive to be like her.
