Literally one of the main points when we’re in other characters POVs regarding Elain is to show that they assume they know her when they truly don’t. Even in ACOSF itself it’s specifically mentioned by Cassian that Nesta doesn’t truly know Elain.

Feyre even gives us the banger quote of Elain having “a different sort of strength”!

♡ Announcing SJM Romance Week 2026 ♡

Hello everyone! Valentine’s Day 2026 is coming up, and that means it's time to celebrate any and all ships related to Sarah J. Maas' work. This will be a week-long event and we (@moodymelanist & @separatist-apologist) welcome any and all forms of celebration of the various types of love — fics, headcanons, playlists, art, moodboards, or anything in between.

When will this take place? February 8 through February 14, 2026!

Who can participate? Any and all fans of SJM’s couples! From canon to reader to crackships, any and all ships from Throne of Glass, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and Crescent City are welcome! Please remain respectful — the characters are fictional, but the people who ship them are not. Leave the shipping wars at the door.

What are the prompts?

Confessions — Drunken, late night, injured, or a good old fashioned regular confession of love. Whatever it is, we want to hear about it!

Pollen — Uh oh... your ship is exposed to some extra special pollen that makes them want to do something really, really badly. Dealer's choice on exactly what that entails!

Forced Proximity — Your ship is forced to be close to one another, and boy do they love to pretend how much they hate it. Why are they forced to be around each other, and how are they going to handle it?

X to Lovers — Enemies? Rivals? Friends? Something much, much, worse? Tell us how your ship goes from whatever they are to lovers!

Only One Bed — It's been a long day, and your ship finally finds a bed... but there's only one of them! How are they going to cope?

Second Chances — Whether it's after a small fight or your ship decides to walk away from one another, how does your ship decide to forgive and give each other a second chance?
