Cosplay Is Fun, That Is All

If you were at Galaxycon 2021, you may remember these two, it is me and my friend who will be known as Magnemite. 

The helmet is made mostly from foam, with the magnets made of cardboard.  It does look a bit rough in areas, but we have decided that those are battle scars on an old magnemite.  Before you ask, yes it was hard to see out of, many a children were trampled.

I am the Granny Snubbull, Most of the costume I found the pieces for at Goodwill.  The dress doilies I had to dye, but the bonnet, mask, and purse, I made those with me own two hands.  I will say that I am proud of that bonnet.  It is pretty simple as far as knitting patterns go.  The mask is from a pattern that is readily available in these times.  The purse is actually a modified beanies pattern, with a drawstring to close it.  The button on it, is a button, and the doilies, ears, and mask were my first sewing projects.  I am really proud of how it turned out, but honestly the prize for best cosplay in our group goes to Magnemite, because I mean, it was so iconic, people were talking about it all weekend.  However, we took several pictures with anyone we could find in a Pokémon cosplay.  Fun time 10/10 would do again.
