what are your opinions on the DEH ships? (treebros/convan, conguel, kleinsen, galaxygals/zolana, bandtrees/zoevan, kleinphy, etc! any/all you feel like talking about :P)

oo good question okay this might be sorta long idk yet ig we'll see lol (not ordered):

treebros: I don't really like treebros. I mean it's not necessarily bad, but since it's the biggest ship next to zoe and evan it's feels sorta watered down (if that makes sense). also I feel like connor and evan would only be friends because of their dynamic. but again, it's not a bad ship, so overall a 6.5/10

conguel (which I call hawaiian pizza bagels apparently): definitely my favourite like.. canon ship. higher up the list yk? yeah the two of them had their moments but they were just trying to get through life- they're definitely more fit for each other unlike treebros. 8/10 cause it's a ship that makes sense and is underrated

kleinsen: I mean.. it's kleinsen. I like kleinsen but It could go 50/50 depending how you look at it. I don't know if they would be the best or worst couple ever, it's complicated. I see why people ship it cause I'm a sarcastic lil shit so I see the standpoint here but it's questionable too. 7.2/10 for the effort and also because it's the ship I have the most headcanons for

bandtrees/zoevan: nope. its a no from me. I dont like this one. I mean it makes sense why people ship them but in the context of the show, it's a pretty toxic relationship. I think if evan was dating zoe legitimately unlike the connor stuff in the show, they could totally work out... but here we are. 3/10 because the events from deh not happening gives it redeeming points

galaxygals/zolana: I haven't really dabbled into this one, so can't give you much here, BUT I think there's a high high possibility for them two working out, especially after the events of the connor project. I like the idea and I'm for it. 7/10.

kleinphy: only a no because I feel like they would be at each other's throats or dead if they were dating. BUT I do think they could work better than treebros. their love language is straight up bullying each other. 6/10

idk what else there is so take these last two you didn't mention:

kleinguel: it's an interesting concept for sure. its a maybe, but since they have no dynamic at all, they haven't even met, and we don't know a lot about either character theres not much I can say. But and interesting ship nonetheless.. so I'm split 5/10

...zoe and connor: I DIDNT KNOW PEOPLE WERE WEIRD LIKE THAT. THEY ARE SIBLINGS. I SAW ONE TIKTOK ONCE AND NOW I'M FLINGING OFF THE WALLS. -1000000000/10, ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Deh Youtuber AU hcs (plus treebros an galaxy gals cus I'm trash.)

Evan:

He didn't want a account first but Jared insisted on making him one

That's why his name would probably be evangreen or something. Other names could be; Evan essence (again from jared), EvanH, MEH, EH or just plain Evan

Making videos like song covers or singing his own songs he wrote, facts about trees and other plants (duh), maybe tips when you have a panic attack or for anxiety????

Him starting his videos pretty awkward but cute like; ,,So uhm..Hey uh..guys"

Him being shy at the beginning of every video but once hes a few minutes in, hes more comfortable

Is always sitting on his bed or something because it's less akward

Him always liking nice comments and write a comment back

His outros would be always different because hes unsure what he could do, sometimes hes just smiling and waving awkwardly or just saying ,,So..Bye!"

He DOES have a really cute endscreen that was drawn from his friend the one and only Connor Murphy with cute music, something like Home from Cavetown

Merch? Probably, but again it would be drawn by Connor since that's more his talent than evans. The designs would be something positive like: You're you and that's enough, or a little tree with the font; I speak for the trees! (That was also Jareds Idea.)

Connor:

His username would be something simple like ConnorMurphy420

He makes Rants. Mostly just rants (you cannot change my mind on that) or vlogs

Instead of starting the videos with an intro, he just emidiatly starts to talk, no intro,no "hi!" Nothing. Just getting straight to the point.

He rants about all kind of things; youtube drama, homophobes, transphobes, stuff like that. In his vlogs he probably just alks about stuff he did with his friends or how he managed to not freak out on anyone this time (hes working on that ok ;-;)

His outro is: ,,Anyway,I hope your day wasn't shitty. Bye" and then hes turning off the camera.

He uses some rock/alternative music for his vlogs

The Rants have no music (hes getting loud enough.)

He makes his own merch and some for the squad (Evan, Zoe,Alana,Jared)

His merch designs are stuff like a bird in the air saying: ,,don't talk to me I'm high" or just a classic middle finger design. One idea is from Evan; it's just a font that says ,,If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all"

Jared:

Jared's username would be TheInsanelycoolJaredKleinman and that's a fact.

His videos are mostly vlogs or reading your comments videos. Full of memes.

A lot of memes.

He would be calm at the beginning but after a few jokes (those he will always do.) He gets more and more hyper.

His intros are different from time to time

His outro is just a endscreen with the next and last video on it, the subscribe button and meme music. The music changes tho

His merch is just some stupid fonts on t-shirts like "yeehaw". He has some nice designs that are made from connor too. (One might be a bath bomb who knows 👀)

Zoe:

Her username would be ZoeMurph or Stargirl or something

She would make videos about her playing the guitar or recordings from jazzband, probably vlogs too

She would have a sparkly font with her name and a nice galaxy background with her own music as her intro

She would be very hyper at some point in her videos but can also be very concentrated and serious when shes playing guitar

Zoe's outros are kind of like Jared's, just with her music (I had no idea for this one sorry)

Her merch would be probably mostly pastel colored with stars and/or galaxy themed (yes I'm giving her galaxy vibes.)

Alana:

Alanas username would be very simple; Alana or Alana B

Her videos are mostly things like: ,,10 ways to make you're bullet journel look good" or she would make videos about learning and education (so diys and tips for homework ya know?)

She would have a intro like: "Hey guys! Today I will show you how.."

Her outro would be the classic simple; ,,Thank you for watching!"

Shes always very happy and talks a lot, sometimes she would lose her point where she was going but ends up remembering

I don't think she would have some merch first, but after a while bec her subscribers asked for it, she would make some. It would be very positive stuff like ,,Keep on dreaming"

Collabs? YES PLEASE

Evan:

Evan would probably make collabs with all of them, he would sing with zoe, comment about comments with jared or watch stupid videos, rant with connor or just talk about stuff with him,and with alana he would try some diys

He would be VERY SHY in their videos but hes warming up to it

Connor:

Connor would make videos with either evan or zoe, with evan they just casually sit there and listen to him and might even give a comment about something too and with zoe he would make some vlogs and just,,act like siblings.

He would first be very quiet but will start to get more involved after time

Jared:

Jared would make collabs but only with evan

He and evan make still comment videos bc hes not rly into that singing or plants thing

So yeah,,, just typically jared.

Zoe:

She would collab with Evan and Alana

Evan and her would make covers and with alana she would also record some diys

She would be very happy and a little bit hyper from the start

Alana:

Alana would collab with no one rly, except for zoe or evan when they are doing some diys on her channel

And now..The shippings.

Treebros:

Ofc who would have thought, Jared and Zoe would be the ones who are ALWAYS joking about them being in a relationship even tho they aren't (YET cough cough)

,,Oh yeah my brother/friend is so gay for his best friend he doesn't realise it'' energy

Evan and Connoe both don't rly talk about it but most of their commenters are asking/commenting about the shipping

Jared ships it and will say stuff in his videos like: ,,So,, idk what evan and connor are doing in their freetime but lemme tell you, its kinky!"

Galaxygals:

Unlike Treebros, zoe and alana ARE already dating and are pretty open about it. They don't talk about it often but aren't trying to hide it

Connor teasing his sister in his vlogs but his sister teasing back in her vlogs

They're comments are FULL of ,,Omg you guys are so cute!!" ,,otp!!" And ,,Goals!!"

(I got tired and uncreative in the end sorry:| most of these thoughts came to me pretty random soo..)

So I got to participate in the @dehbigbang For Christmas! I am so excited to be posting my cover for @justiceforalanabeck GalaxyGals HUGE EPIC. I got a chance to read the whole thing, and you guys are in for an emotional rollarcoaster! I also talked with them about doing a full series of art pieces as the fic comes out!

Some galaxy gals stuff (feat. Alive connor and tiny treebros? I mention them like, once) bc they are great and i didn't write anything for them

Firstly I belive Zoe is bi and Alana lesbian

I can imgane that Zoe was in a band club or something (after all she was in a jazz band(or just band??)) And Alana heard their music and listened to them bc wow music

After Zoe and her band were done Alana came up to her and told her how great they are

Zoe was imidiatly like; omg??? Someone actually liked this and WANTED TO LISTEN?? (Listen I also imagine that she might be very unsure about her music because she likes it obviously, but no one really showed it to her that much. Her family didn't show it at all I believe. Connor? He probably likes her music but doesn't show it bc well, it's Connor and Zoe. They don't have an amazing relationship yk? Larry? Dang he does care but shows it pretty shitty, he's most of the time too focused on his work or other stuff. Cynthia? She likes it too and is just as proud! But also she is too focused or busy sometimes with other things.

Zoe then just stopped showing them much of her music talent

But wow a cute girl?? Complementing her?? Rn?? Is it Christmas?

After this they pretty much talk a lot and start hanging out.

When they hang out they definitely paint each others nails and listen to music, talk about school shit, play video games to the usual

They listen to 1d and rock out don't @ me.

I think zoes realization hit when she was teasing connor about his crush on evan. It probably went like:

,,Oh yeah? Says the guy who's into his best friend! When are you starting to accept it that you've got the hots for Ev?"

,,When you finally marry YOUR little bestie" or something

Then she was like: ha yeah right shut up

And lied up all night

And was like: oh shiet he right I like her

Or when she filled out one of those teen magazine quizzes where you can find out if you are in love and she was so confused at first

And again, it hit her like a brick when she lied in bed

Anyway, Alana was probably in love first. Yes I said it. She probably thought a lot about it too and when she talked about it to her parents (listen if I want her parent's to be fully supportive with her being a lesbian then its gonna happen.)

But zoe asked her out first. It was when they were studying together for a test and it just slipped out

,,When I don't ace this test I will literally die"

,,Or do something not so dramatic? Like, try to study more or relax and don't worry about it or-"

Their first date would definitely be going to starbucks and then go on a walk and just talk. All cute and pure.

Then one of them (maybe zoe) accidentally touched the others hand and both got real shy

But you know this meme that's like; *takes their hand anyway* fucking commit to it? Yep that's them

The other would just take all their courage and hold the others hand.

Jared wasn’t the best person. He knew that. Evan and Connor knew that. Actually, everyone knew it.

Jared was a pretty awful person at times. He was desperate for attention and would go to ridiculous lengths just to be sure his friends (who are you trying to fool. they’re not your friends, jared. they’ll forget about you the second graduation is over) still remembered he was there. They, or at least Evan, knew this and went out of his way to include Jared. This eventually led to weekly movie nights on Fridays. They alternated on who got to choose the movie. Jared always skipped his turn. He worried about choosing something none of the others would like. If that happened then they might stop the movie nights. Jared didn’t want that. He didn’t trust himself to be alone on the weekend, not anymore.

They always had fun, at least Jared thought they did. It might be why he was so confused when Evan canceled. “My moms off Friday, we haven’t had a Friday together in years so I wanna spend it with her.” Evan had said. Jared shouldn’t have been surprised when Connor backed out. “Zoe and I are being dragged to some family thing. We’ll be back next week.” And that left Jared and Alana. They could hold a conversation, but neither of them were comfortable enough without the others around. It made sense that she canceled and for the first time in months Jared was going to be alone on a Friday night. Which was fine. Really. Jared was almost eighteen, he could survive a Friday night by himself.

Except he really couldn’t. His mom hadn’t even left for work yet and he was already anxious. People looked at their group and always assumed Jared was the most put together. Evan was an walking disaster, Connor was depressed and made sure everyone knew about it, Alana had control problems, and Zoe always looked like she was on the verge of a breakdown. Even his own friends seemed to assume that he was always okay like his jokes weren’t a way of coping with stress and his overwhelming desire to disappear.

Jared was sitting on the living room floor working on a puzzle his mom had bought him a few years ago when there was a knock on the door. He didn’t want to get it but his mom was somewhere in the back of the house still getting ready. Jared pushed himself off the floor and walked over to the front door. He took a second to mentally prepare himself and swung it open.

“Hi, Jared! Is your mom ready?”

Jared couldn’t have expected a lot of people to be on the other side of the door. Heidi Hansen was not one of them. Especially not Heidi Hansen dressed in her scrubs like she was going to work. That wasn't right. Evan said she was off. Evan wouldn’t lie to him, would he?

Of course he would. He’s tired of you. They’re all tired of you. They just wanted an excuse to get rid of you.

No. Evan wouldn’t lie to him. This had to be some sort of mistake. Maybe Jared got the days wrong? No, it was definitely Friday. Maybe Evan got the day wrong. Maybe Heidi was off tomorrow. But why wouldn’t Evan have texted him? They could have still hung out without Connor and Zoe, maybe Alana would have come.

“I thought you were off?”

Heidi looked confused. “No, not today.”

“Oh,” I told you. “My mom will be out soon. You can come inside.” Jared went back to the floor and started picking his puzzle up. He didn’t want to work on it anymore.

“Jared, sweetheart are you alright? Don’t you usually hang out with Evan and Connor on Fridays?”

“I guess.” He slid the box under the couch. “Can you tell my mom I’m in my room?”

Jared didn’t wait around to hear Heidi’s reply. He felt sick and really didn’t want her to confirm his suspicions. He stumbled up the stairs to his room and picked up his phone from where he had dropped it when he got home earlier. He didn’t have any new messages. He wasn’t expecting any because everyone was supposed to be busy.

Jared set the phone on his bed and stared at it. Evan didn’t like keeping people waiting meaning he’d respond as soon as possible. Meaning Jared would have an answer. But Jared wasn’t sure if he wanted the answer.

   Jared, are you okay?

Jared ignored Evan’s text. And the next one. Because Evan didn’t care. Evan lied to him. Jared didn’t know how to feel. Evan doesn’t do these kind of things. Not to him.

Jared started packing a bag. His dad lived forty-five minutes away. His next visit wasn’t  supposed to be for another two weeks but Jared knew his father wouldn’t mind if he just randomly showed up. It wouldn’t be the first time it had happened. He packed his laptop but left his phone on this bed. He didn’t need it. He could call his mom from his dad's phone. The fact that Evan was calling his phone for the third time in a row helped him make his decision.

Heidi and his mom were talking in the living room when Jared came down. They both looked at him with varying levels of surprise. His mom’s faded more quickly. She sighed and picked up the landline. “I’ll call your father and let him know you’re coming. Are you taking the bus?” Jared nodded. “Heidi, could we stop by the bus station and drop Jared off?”

“Of course. I’ll um, I’ll start the car.”

Heidi looked like she wanted to say something else but didn’t. She walked out the door leaving Jared and his mom. His mom was talking to his dad on the phone. He was shifting from side to side, not really paying attention to what she was saying. He hated hearing other people talk about him.

“How come you’re going over there, honey?” His mom asked once she hung up the phone. Jared knew this was coming but he had been hoping to avoid it. He didn’t want her worrying because then she’d text his dad and he’d be worrying all weekend.

“I don’t want to be alone.”

“Are you feeling alright?”

“I just don’t want to be alone.”

His mom nodded in understanding. Jared wondered if Evan and Heidi could have unspoken conversations like this. Probably. They probably had bigger ones. Evan had actual problems, not like Jared's stupid issues.

“Do you have your medicine?” Jared shook his head. His mom walked to the cabinet and pulled out the extra bottle. “Phone?” He shook his head again. She sighed again but didn’t tell him to go get it. “Let’s go, Heidi and I are going to be late.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t apologize, Jared. I’m glad you’re doing this. I’d rather you be safe with your father than alone here.”

That didn’t make Jared feel better. The ride didn’t make him feel better because the bus station was past the Hansen house. He didn’t mean to stare at it. He was really just looking out the window. But that meant he saw Connor and Alana’s car in Evan’s driveway when they drove past. The sick feeling he had ever since Evan first told him he wasn’t coming was weighing down on him more than before. Because this was the proof he didn’t want. The proof that they didn’t care about him.

Jared got out at the bus stop with a promise to call his mom when he got to his dad’s house and be home before midnight on Sunday. He smiled and waved as the car drove off. Then he sat on the bench and cried.
