Odysseus fought hard for 20 years just to see his wife, his sins weighing on his back, unsure that his wife would be able to even look at him much less view him with love in her eyes. So when he asks, he is expecting her to be hesitant, to be unsure, he might have even been expecting her to turn him away. There may have been a part of him expecting her to have moved on and married someone else.

But Penelope hears him asking her if she might be willing to fall in love with him again and is offended. Like genuinely offended. Thats why she makes the statement about the bed, the one LITERALLY ROOTED INTO THE GROUND. Because she needed to show Odysseus how ridiculous his request was.

She spent 20 years waiting for his return, doing EVERYTHING in her power to make sure she would see him again and keep their son safe. She loved and trusted him so much. The thought that she would need to re-evaluate her love in the slightest was insane.

Odysseus understood and needed to hear that, and hearing that not only was she capable of loving him again, she never for a MOMENT stopped loving him. Neither of them EVER stopped loving eachother.

This, this song "Would you Fall in Love with Me Again" Just maybe the GREATEST depiction of a truly loving relationship I have ever had the pleasure of knowing in fiction.

I think most people that try to do parody need to remember.

“You actually need to like the thing you are parodying.”

Because the jokes come from a place of love.

If you don’t like the thing you try to parody then you aren’t being funny, you are just s***ing on something people enjoy.

I’ve been seeing posts talking about how the miraculous ladybug Fandom has been quiet.

Yea, it’s true.

ML has reached the point where a majority of the original fans have fallen off, either from moving on because of losing interest or because something happened within the show that was their last straw.

Most of the time I see ML trending these days it is because Buggachat posted art, or because of critiques.

It doesn’t help that the release schedule is all over the place.

But truthfully I don’t think that’s it.

My interest in ML is no where near as grand as it once was. I think it has a special place in my heart, the good and the bad. I support that lovesquare.

But if I had to guess the reason for the quiet attitude… it’s really just where the show is.

Season 6 is a soft reboot of the series.

There is a new butterfly villain (who we know who it is) The heroes are fighting to save the day and most of the episode is actually the high school drama.

And there is nothing bad about that, but it’s just, we’ve been here before. There is no new ground being tread here. Yes Marinette and Adrien are dating, but we had that in season 5 already. Yes Marinette has a secret she can’t tell and it’s causing drama we’ve had that since season 3-5

Adrien and Marinette don’t know the other’s identity? Had that since season 1.

New heroes? Since season 3-4.

There is really nothing New, new.

But what about that secret society of rich people? (Probably the Supreme of this world tbh.) also potentially known about since season 3.

Now one could argue that’s what makes season 6 special, it’s building on everything while also allowing for development.

There is nothing currently Groundbreaking with the show anymore. There is no hook like there use to be. There is no real fire.

Season 6 has been… fine. Not bad, not great. It’s fine.

But fine doesn’t drive fandoms. Mediocrity is worse than bad in this case. Because at least with bad, one can have passion, can have critiques. And when something GOOD happens, that’s when it feels really good.

ML’s special sauce was that the peaks were peaks but the valleys were low. Now ML is just on this plateau. Not good not bad. Just okay.

Now to those that are loving season 6, great. I’m happy for you.

But it’s just lacking that spice, that sauce. That pizazz.

I’m still here for the lovesquare. But I’m just waiting for something, Anything that can shake me up, inspire me to write.

But to be fair, the other part is the fandom, or the hatedom side of it. Where every little thing is a critique or turned into salt on Marinette and/or Adrien. It has been 10 years. It’s over done, it’s old. And I think that’s another reason things are so quiet, people are sick of hearing negativity and I don’t blame them.

You know, I kind of want to become a penguin V-tuber. Not an anime boy cosplaying as a penguin. Just Gentlepenguin being my Model. I know I would not be popular because my voice would NOT fit the model, my personality is about as appealing as a rotton Durian, and I dont know jack s*** about tech to get the rig set up or even know where to start commissioning an artist to set up the model. Plus I doubt I would be entertaining enough to make my money back. But I feel like it would be something that would be dumb yet fun to do.

Pokemon Type interactions that SHOULD happen

-Flying and Water types SHOULD be weak to poison types (pollution in the water, air polution. just makes sense)

-Dragon should be weak against steel types (a lot of weapons such as swords were made to slay dragons)

-Fighting types resisting Bug types doesnt make sense.

-Electric and Fire types should be super effective against Dark types. (Electricity and fire make light, so it makes sense) while Bug types shouldnt be super effective against dark.

-Psychic types are weak against fears, like ghost, dark, and bugs. But by that logic, Flying and Fire also should be weaknesses (but that would be going too far)

-Dark type should have a resistance to Water, as the dark depths of the ocean.

-Ice SHOULD be super effective against rock type, but weak to Electricity.

-Dragon should be super effective against Normal Types. (normal pokemon trying to fight a dragon)

-Grass should have resistance to Fairy. (Fairies are said to live in forests, plus it needs more resistances)

I did enjoy Revealtor

It is honestly the first episode outside of Werepapas that made me feel invested in season 6.

BUT,

We all know that this did almost nothing but justify Marinette hiding her secret even more right?

Now before the Marinette salters Gush about this post. Hold your comments.

The show is actually pointing out that this secret is actually a big deal, and that Marinette was indeed in the wrong for holding this from Adrien.

Now if they actually do expose the truth, then this would be a fascinating character arc and development for both Adrien and Marinette.

Because this has so many parallels and ideas that build on it.

But after this situation, Marinette saw how much Alya suffered from finding out the secret. Yes Alya commented that her hiding it was wrong, but alya also made it about herself and lying.

Now I understand Marinette's justification for lying. And I will be the first to point out how wrong it is she is doing that. BUT, just because a good character is doing something wrong, does not make them a bad character. It actually makes things more interesting. Its a FLAW. and good characters dont need to be flawless.

Being mad at Marinette over this is not a bad thing, being full of spite and absolute hatred over it is going too far.

Now, I leave this up to the writers of season 6, CAN you actually make the payoff worth it?

That is what my concern is.

What type of cheating would you consider worse hypothetically ? If your partner told you that they cheated cause they fell in love with the "other person" or if they tell you that they cheated for some meaningless fun but they're still in love with you and the other person never even mattered to them ?

When it comes to Cheating, I think the motive really doesnt matter. The act of cheating on someone is an utter betrayal. And out of the two its actually a lot more difficult to determine whats worse.

In the case of the Former: Your SO fell in love with another person. That means that they found someone else while they were in a relationship with you and developed and grew this relationship into something far more than a fling. So its likely this happened over the course of months... maybe years. And emotionally speaking that's devastating. Your relationship was deemed as a Placeholder for this person.

On the other hand, it at least means that the person at least thought of the relationship you had with them as some sort of importance that they wouldnt just cheat so callously. (This is still a f***ed mentality and is not some sort of justification for cheating)

In the case of the Latter, your significant other put their own desires and pleasure over something that could have been solved easier. They view your relationship with them as minor and not even worth keeping that cheating to them is fun, its simple, and they probably do this more often and with more partners... meaning there is likely more physical risks like STDs

On the other hand, it could mean that in terms of Emotional connection, they still view your relationship enough worth keeping even if not physically satisfying. (This is also still a f***ed mentality and is not some sort of justification for cheating.)

This really is a pick your poison. And to be completely honest I think both are Equally awful and cant say if one is worse than the other. Cheating regardless of reason is absolutely despicable. I place it in my top 5 absolute worse things one human could do to another human.

There is something about the fallen hero trope that is so fascinating to me.

Unlike the Reformed Villain, the fallen hero is the one who sees something that they truly desired available to them but not by following the path they have been on, something they were desperate for, maybe it was power, maybe it was a forbidden technique, or maybe it was a way to save a loved one/loved ones that. Now the first one is usually because they werent as pure hearted as initially believed, but a good hearted hero can lust for power if they are led to believe they need it to protect those they love, or to achieve their dream.

The fallen hero trope hits harder because its someone that is viewed having higher moral standing falling from their pedestal, and this change is often seen as negative, as it should be.

People love reformed villains because it has someone bad crawling out of the darkness to try and do better, something we as humans can relate to. We want to see villains be reformed and redeemed because it tells us that no matter how much we messed up, we can always find our way back to the light.

The fallen hero trope is the reverse, we naturally dislike the trope and the individuals that fall because we have these expectations of this Paragon to be good, to do right. And it mirrors real life. Once we see someone do something morally dubious or make a mistake, we pounce on them. We berate them, yell at them, and thats just how it is.

The fallen hero trope is representative of how people's expectations of you can be turned against you after an error in judgement. While the Reformed villain trope is the dream that people will forgive and bring you back should you properly atone.
