"Choosing me as your dance partner? Quite surprised!" Gale had been content to simply take in the atmosphere of the party that had been going about. It would seem that Dez was gonna be insistent that he would have some sort of fun this evening. Still, he suppose that he doesn't see the harm in indulging the woman in some thrills with dancing. "You may and most certainly shall. Just promise me not to be too harsh on my dancing if there is rust that needs shaking off." There was an anxious look to him but he was no less eager to at least humor Dez since she was looking towards him to get. Still he gives her a relax smile. "May I?" A question she posed him now back to her. Gale let a hand glide towards her waist and let a free hand open to take. Dancing or not, Gale wanted to be certain that boundaries were kept firm and established for her comfort.

I can scarcely imagine how much that must weigh on the eyes..." It's all he could really add. He wasn't gonna even pretend he understood what that feeling is like. For there none a scenario close to what Karlach went through. "Well you joined at the most opportune time. There is plenty to view from the stars tonight.." It was when Karlach mentioned that of his equipment; did amusement swell within him. "Ah you noticed! Fine piece of equipment of viewing stars! Been stargazing for as long as I remember. Well, course back then, I'd often get in trouble for sneaking out to climb a high point to see them. Shocking, me being a rambunctious child I know."

“Dont think I have seen you before.. You are certain you are in the right classroom?” It was a gentle tone but nevertheless curious. Gale had been ringing another spring semester with eager students who had quickly snatched up his class when it opened prior.

“You looked as if you were unsure..” Gale leaving it at that as far as his observations were concerned. It was an innocuous enough question. Since he figured he was starting to get a handle on some of the students that have already stepped forward with their names. And he made it a point to attach faces to the names.

her voice catches him off guard, familiar in a place where it absolutely shouldn't be, and he whips his head around to look at her with an expression that very much gives a sense that he's doing something that he shouldn't be. ' ...eliana! ' he tries not to sound surprised to see her, even though it's quite clear that she's startled him. ' it is indeed a pleasure to see you, as always, but i had thought you were planning on staying in our lodgings for the evening? ' // @lattehearted

Stars.

They burn, don’t they? And yet you still hold on. The flesh on your palms peels back, your fingers burning down to bone. Your tissues char and break away, your blood boiling inside your hands. The heat rushes up to kiss your face and chest, a sunburn in the dark and yet–yet you hold on, because they are beautiful. It hurts, but you see only the beauty of the moment, none of the pain. All of that suffering is worth a few moments of brilliance, isn’t it?
