Milepost 248
At the summit of the Allegheny Mountains, an Eastbound helper set of EMD SD40-2's roll passed the 248 milepost and into the tunnel. They're headed back to Altoona for another assignment. From here, it's 248 miles to Philadelphia and Corporate headquarters.

Reversing For The Loop
After completing the push up the "mountain", a three unit (a pair of EMD SD40-2's & a straight SD40) helper set has just cut off from the rear of a Westbound train here at UN interlocking. You can see the engineer looking at the medium clear as he reverses looking for just enough headroom to clear the switch for the helper loop. That's the loop's track on the far right curving away from the two track main. Then the units will come back towards the camera now taking the loop and coming out on the other side of Gallitzin at AR. From there it's back down the hill to Altoona for another helper assignment.
