I'm ngl guys I'm really not fucking vibing with this year's magic horses. Why are these the Halloween horses like what the hell

I like that in recent years we're getting more off-model elements to the magic horses. That's a really cool thing and I definitely want to praise it! I honestly really love how they're playing with the models and silhouettes. Definitely a step in the right direction for magic horses.

My issue is that... these aren't Halloween-y. Yes, they're pretty and I like them, but... I'm not going to buy them as a Halloween horses. They feel like they should be released as regular magic horses. The regular coats are also just kind of a let down if I'm honest. We already have a palomino and a grullo mustang, so reusing those base coat colors just feels lazy and rather uninspired.

And they don't fit with the theme of Galloper's Keep. SSO Halloween leans more into the spooky/mystical side and less the dress up part of Halloween. It clashes very obviously and I would not bat an eye if somebody told me these were being released in November as new magical horses in Jorvik.

will you come, will you stay? will you start to walk our way? those who come never leave- those who enter the Galloper’s Keep. the sound of weeping and sobbing is heard; just look around - it’s quite absurd! there’s a man sitting there with no head on his shoulders- and there are the ghosts of people who once were soldiers! the Galloper’s Keep is a place alone and astray; it is like a night without a day. few dare cross here- few dare play! but those who come here will forever stay.
