Silver sat across from her target, legs crossed, hands gracefully folded on her lap. “So here’s the deal Mr Lark. You stole from my boss. Fact. You hid the money. Fact. You enough money in your accounts to pay your debt off. Fact. I can kill you with a single blow. Fact. So… The easy way to do this is to just tell me where to access the money. Then this will all be relatively painless.”
Mr Lark was bound to a chair and gagged. It made it impossible for him to talk, a fact that Silver was very aware of. “Won’t tell me then? Pity.” The tip of Silver’s knife dragged down his chest, a blood trail being left behind. Lark was screaming against the gag, tears running down his face. “Hm. You know, I love this knife.” She stabbed it into his arm, another muffled scream coming out. “They say that if you sharpen a knife enough, you won’t feel the initial incision. But then…” Silver twisted her knife. “Then you feel the pain.” She left the knife in there, loosening the gag. “Now, you will tell me what I want to know.” Lark was gasping. “No.” Silver’s jaw clenched, grabbing the knife and yanking it out. He screamed.
“How long to expect to keep this up? Honestly. Do I have to threaten the three year old girl you have at home?” That sentence made her mouth taste sour. She hated threatening people that had nothing to do with the situation. She really did. But the reaction was what she wanted. His eyes turned desperate and he started struggling against his bindings. “Keep her out of this.” Silver stood over him, getting her face right near his. “Then tell me what I need to know.” He bit his lip, Silver sighing and shaking her head. “Well… Let’s play a little game. That’s always fun, right?” A little crazy smile highlighted her face. He winced in fear.
Silver put a gun down, getting rid of all the bullet. From where Mr Lark was sitting, it looked like she was loading it instead unloading it. “I’m sure you’re familiar with Russian Roullette. Well… There is one bullet in here. Everytime you give me an answer I don’t like… Well… You get the idea.” She held the gun to his forehead. “Now, let’s try this again. What is the account number?” He shook his head and she took the shot. It clicked, the target almost crying in relief. “Again. Account number… Now. You’re gambling, Mr Lark. Is it really worth that?” He didn’t say a word, just squeezed his eyes shut. The gun clicked again.
She saw the desperateness return back to his eyes and she held the gun to his temple, lips on his ear. “Tell me the number. Nothing will happen to you if you just say the numbers.” Her voice was seductive, almost gentle. He shivered before mouthing the numbers. “Louder.” He began to recite the account number, Silver pressing the gun firmly against his head until he had finished. “John? You got that?” She smirked up at the camera, the camera moving from side to side, their signal that they had the information.
Silver moved like a woman of a much higher class, changing her position so she was behind his chair. “Thank you for your cooperation, Mr Lark. But I lied.” There was a swipe of silver across his throat, the man dying as he bled out. Letting out a sigh, she wiped her knife clean on the late Mr Lark’s shirt and spoke to the person standing in the shadows. “I so deserve a pay rise for this.” John shook his head, his tone unimpressed. “Can’t believe that’s what broke him. A woman whispering into his ear. Some people…” Silver smirked. “Well, you can clean up. I got a date to get to.”
