Those pokemon tales that got leaked from Gamefreaks are not that weird. they are clearly framed to resemble folk tales and fairy tales.

They were either done for the sake of experimenting, as a way to get into the mindset of the world, or yes, just for the sake of having some fun with the characters in a context that was meant to be kept private.

That's perfectly normal behavior

One more to add to what seems to be the ladies of Nintendo series :)) I wanted to try something out in terms of process so I figured this could be a good opportunity. Female protagonist from Pokemon Sword & Shield. Admittedly more edgy because of course. ...I mean, come on, she’s going to face giant sentient tea pots and cakes.
