You know what? Fuck it. I’m gonna rant about this.
On paper, the quests for the Christmas event are great! But dear GOD do the requirements need a rework.
Now I get it, they’re not supposed to be easy. Rudie’s certainly wasn’t but at least the requirements were reasonable. Hell as much as I complained about Ginger’s second quest, I’d still argue her’s are still pretty reasonable.
But then we get to Coal’s…
Encounter the rare Twisted? Ten times? While playing as the Toon that is outclassed by so many other Toons and is just straight up not fun to play as? FUCK that.
Oh and did I mention that the spawn rate for Rare Twisteds is EIGHT percent?! And that percent does NOT go higher the further you go? But Main Twisted chances do?!
And even if you DO get a Rare, there is a 6/7 chance the Rare Twisted you get is NOT Coal. You think it’s Coal? Nope, Gigi. Think it’s Coal now? Nope! It’s Blot.
How the hell does a Rare Twisted become more rare that the rarest class of Twisted in the entire damn game?! The other encounter quests can be done with skill and patience. But Coal’s is just PURE LUCK.
Hell BOBETTE’S encounter quest is more reasonable BECAUSE Main Twisted chances are higher the further you go! And you can encounter Twisted Bobette guaranteed on Floor 20! I’ve encountered Twisted Bobette MORE times than I’ve encountered Twisted Coal.
I get that the point of these quests were to keep the players playing the event throughout the event period (Since after you get the skins, Toons, and Twisted, there’s no reason to keep playing unless you have other things to do) but locking players out of skins for a LIMITED TIME event all because the RNG is terrible is ATROCIOUS.
Couldn’t encounter Twisted Coal all event because the spawn rate sucks? Too bad! Better luck next time! :)
BlushCrunch. I implore you. If you cannot change the requirement. Then at LEAST make the Rare Holiday Twisted a guaranteed spawn on Floor 15.
