gameoverse x games I like (for fun)
Animal crossing (sandbox)
minecraft ((sandbox) however, minecraft does technically have an ending if you count beating the ender dragon and getting to the credits as being the end of the game (in a linear sense))
tomodachii life (sandbox)
kirby (return to dreamland, Kirby and the forgotten land, Kirby and the rainbow curse)
I think Kirby would end up defeating his villain, but he wouldn’t fall for the people trying to “help” him - like Fold would try and be a helpful piece of paper, but Kirby would either knock him off of the wall in an attempt to unlock something (Kirby and the forgotten land with the wanted posters you have to knock down) or Kirby would inhale him to try and get an ability. - this is based on gameplay, the character of Kirby would definitely fall for Fold and Miss information’s tricks (based on Kirby with Marx + Magalor)
battle block theatre
it takes two
(the game finishes when the parents repair their relationship, would Kit and Co have to make their relationship worse in order to save their world???)
goat simulator (sandbox)
Sam and max freelance police (hit the road, the devil’s playhouse, save the world)
sandbox game planets probably do exist in the gameoverse universe, but they don’t have an ending or like, a proper villain for the hero/ protagonist to defeat - so Theyre probably left alone (no mission people or villain people trying to get the hero to defeat the villain)
Gameoverse AU idea
We all know the story. Two game characters join an organization known as Facade to save the various game worlds by allowing the villain to win and the hero to lose to prevent their worlds being annihilated by Syntax.
But what if there was more than two factions?
As soon as game characters started hearing about this info from a mysterious informant, they'd soons set up their factions and made their intent clear to both Facade and Syntax. They're not interested in aligning with them and will protect their world if they every try to step their foot onto their worlds.
Adding more fuel to the fire, humans have a found a way to enter the Gameoverse without using a character leading to many to either forming their own factions or joining with any other already-existing faction. Then there are the abnormalities, they tend to vary in appearance that range from being glitch-like to being a fleshy abomination and only bring out nothing but death and chaos to the worlds, but they all share the same origin: They were intended to be weapons of destruction by Syntax but rebelled in one way or another.
This was going to be a long day for both Facade and Syntax.
This series is literally perfect for traumatizing our favorite video game characters with planetary genocide. Meet a version of Spyro the Dragon from the original trilogy who has lost everything as the only survivor of his world.
