DJBC Tumblr Summer 21 - Ganthers Place 2021 Garden Tour
After a few years away (Work, Work, and then this thing called COVID), we returned to the Ganthers Place Garden Tour today. The theme was "Making Waves", and the event organizers weren't sure if they would do it this year, but they pulled it off without a hitch.
Like with their neighbors to the north in Southern Orchards two weeks ago, Ganthers Place did a beach theme for their 2021 Garden Tour.

Today normally is the Ganthers Place Garden Tour. While that has been canceled this year, nearby Southern Orchards is doing a Socially Distant Garden Tour this afternoon. Similar to Merion Village’s Guinea Pig Virtual Tour Test, Residential Gardens will be Front Yards Only. The Southern Orchards Garden Tour is from Noon to 4, and will include a few Community Gardens along the way. Here are highlights from the 2013 Ganthers Place Tour, which paid homage to Broadway.

Highlights from House Sweet It Is 2020
The 10th Annual House Sweet It Is Community Event took place over the weekend at Parsons North Brewing Company on Parsons Avenue, just south of Nationwide Childrens’ Hospital. The packed bar hosted neighborhood organizations, such as the Parsons Area Merchants Association (PAMA), Merion Village Association, Southern Orchards Civic Association, South Central Commons, Reeb-Hosack Steelton Neighborhood Association, and the host organization, the Ganthers Place Civic Association. There was a limo delivering people to a tour of a home on the South Side.
Franklin County Auditor Michael Stinziano stopped by to deliver a proclamation honoring the “Ten Year Anniversary of House Sweet It Is”.
