DJBC Tumblr Holiday Throwback - Operation Dreidel Drop/Bexley Menorah Lighting (2018)

Tonight marks the first night of Hanukkah, the 25th night of Kislev in the Jewish calendar. The City of Bexley’s Menorah Lighting will be virtual on Sunday, the fourth night of Hanukkah.  Meanwhile, here are highlights from 2018′s Lighting held in Jeffrey Park, which saw a helicopter make a drop of dreidels during the Menorah Lighting.

DJBC Tumblr Summer 21 - Christmas in July Crossover - Christmas at Easton (2020)

Here are highlights from the holidays at the Easton Town Center in Columbus, Ohio from the 2020 Holiday Season, which was drastically different. For example, the Annual Tree Lighting was cancelled and Santa went Virtual. With a ban on Mass Gatherings, you could see why nobody was huddled close together at either one of the THREE Christmas Trees at Easton.

I've been trying to upload Brutus on a Shelf Photos for hours, but there are upload issues.

I'm throwing in the towel on The DJBC Holiday Tumblr Tour. The last week of not being able to upload things to Tumblr is frustrating, plus time consuming to transfer pics from one device to another. I'm done. I need to focus on other things and not waste anymore time trying to reboot stuff. Hopefully there is some semblance of normalcy next Holiday Season.

I decorated by bedroom for the first time in several years, because it needed Christmas Cheers, as it tripled as a bedroom, a virtual meeting room, a back-up radio/podcast studio, and occasionally a bar.

DJBC Tumblr Holiday 2020 - Christmas Corner

Here are highlights from a socially distant State Auto Christmas Corner, open through New Year’s Day.  The Nativity Scene, outside of State Auto in the Discovery District, kept the 90 year-old Downtown Columbus tradition alive, minus any events associated with it, due to the Columbus/Franklin County Stay at Home Advisory and Social Distancing Protocols.

DJBC Holiday Tumblr 2020 - Kossuth Garden Winter Solstice

Here are highlights from the 2020 Winter Solstice Luminary Lighting at the Kossuth Street Garden. Held on the Winter Solstice, the Garden paid tribute to the Frontliners of the Pandemic.

The Garden itself is currently in danger of being re-developed.
