If you're doing them, #7 for the physical affection prompts.
#7- squishing cheeks
I needed an excuse to write some garenko and I thought this prompt was perfect for them, so thank you 🥰
Garrus watched Kaidan as he slept next to him, running his talons through Kaidan's thick black hair and down his face, stopping at his cheek. Humans were softer than turians were, krogans referred to them as squishy and while that wasn't the word he would use, he could see where they were coming from.
Garrus gently poked his cheek with a claw, pausing to see if it woke him up, it didn't. This time he instead pinched Kaidan's cheek, not hard enough to hurt but he was amazed with how soft the skin was there in comparison to the rest of him. Kaidan woke up as Garrus squished his cheeks together, annoyed that his boyfriend had interrupted his nap "Do you need something?"
"Sorry Kai," He said as he pulled away "you humans are just so soft."
Kaidan rubbed his cheek "Compared to turians maybe." He loved Garrus, but the claws he had in place of fingers definitely took getting used to, for a few reasons.
Garrus moved Kaidan's hand away, taking it in his own as he leaned closer, placing a kiss on the other man's cheek.
"Why are humans like that?" Garrus asked, curiosity finally getting the best of him.
"Well we are mostly water." Kaidan replied, it wasn't much of an explanation but it seemed to satisfy the turian.
Garrus nodded and pinched his cheek again, pulling gently "Does that hurt?"
Kaidan sighed "Not really but you are reminding me of my grandmother right now."
Garrus withdrew his claw "Sorry you're just so-"
"Soft?" Kaidan interrupted.
"Yeah!"
Kaidan laughed and Garrus took him in his arms, their foreheads pressing together "Sorry for waking you up."
Kaidan shrugged "It's fine, you were cute so I'll let it slide this time." Kaidan wasn't sure turians could blush but the flare of Garrus' mandibles got his feelings across just as well.
