Ramen Soy Sauce Eggs and Baked Garlic Broccoli
Ramen Eggs
Boiled Egg
1. Take eggs out of fridge and bring to room temperature.
2. Once room temperature, use something like a pin to puncture a hole on both sides of the egg.
3. Bring water to boil.
4. Once the water is boiling, carefully place the eggs and boil for around 6mins. (6mins leaves the egg yolks a little runny. Adjust to preference.)
5. After placing eggs into the water, prepare an ice bath.
6. After 6mins (or whenever eggs are done), place the eggs into an ice bath for at least 10mins. This stops the cooking process.
7. Peel and place the eggs into a ziplock bag with the marinate.
8. Ideally, marinate for 24hrs.
Soy Sauce Marinate
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of dark soy sauce (for color)
Baked Garlic Broccoli
1. Preheat the oven to 400F.
2. Cut broccoli into smaller, bite-sized pieces and place them on a tray lined with foil.
3. Add oil, black pepper, and garlic. Mix well.
4. Bake for around 20mins.
