Garlic Dahl (Good enough for Julia Stone aka Thomas))
Easiest peasiest tasty as garlic dahl recipe. You need: Olive oil 1 cup lentils (any kind) 1 onion 6 - 10 cloves garlic (how strong do you want it?) 1 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp turmeric powder Fresh coriander Chilli to taste Salt & Pep 1 cup water You do this: Cut onion and saute with the olive oil in a pan or pot, when it is going see through add the chopped garlic, add the cumin and turmeric. Add the dry lentils. Stir and let it cook for a few minutes - keep stirring. Add the water. Let it it simmer away! Chop the fresh cori and add. It is ready when the lentils are soft and it has turned quite soupy. Can an eye out - if it is drying it will burn on the bottom of the pan, so out add water in small increments. Add more spices to suit your tastes, a wee pinch more of cumin or turmeric or chilli. Serve with rice or crusty dipping bread or naan or toasted pita or chapati etc etc etc. Eat, sit back relax and watch 'Popstars - The Making of Bardot'.
