Delilah Riversong

Delilah Riversong Elizondo (1875-1990) was a pureblood which who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the 1890s.
Born to Daniel Riversong and Carmen Elizondo Osuna, Delilah grew up knowing that she was going to be married off to a rich, pureblood man that her parents had chosen for her at birth. She never tried to fight it directly, but Delilah truly despised the life that was set out for her. She frequently spent her time alone, reading any book she could get her hands on. She was smart, and knew she was smart.
To no one's surprise, Delilah was sorted into Ravenclaw her first year at Hogwarts. She excelled in most of her classes with very few issues, except in Potions. Always in Potions.
While Delilah was one to follow the instructions laid out to her by Professor Sharp, one particular Gryffindor at the same table was consistently making a mess of things. Delilah would do her best to ignore Garreth Weasley, but when he brews a potion that sends the whole classroom into a smoky haze, it was rather difficult.
They frequently butted heads; Delilah determined to make him realize that he was a hazard before someone got hurt, Garreth determined to make her loosen up a bit and live a little.
It was one day in their fifth year that Delilah was proven right.
A combination Garreth added to his potion made it explosive. He managed to shield himself, but the liquid spilled on the right side of Delilah's body and burned her. The scar would remain for the rest of her life and occasionally give her phantom pains.
Because of the scarring, the engagement that had been around for almost as long as she had been alive fell through. In a strange twist of fate, that accident ended up giving Delilah the freedom she craved ever since she was a little girl.
It took years for her to learn to forgive Garreth for what he did, and it took years for him to learn to live with the guilt of what he put her through. But, eventually, they learned to get through it.
