hey bestie i need to know about that sterek fic for the wip game 👀💕

Hi bestie, it's basically an Exes to Lovers, but with the added factor of Eli, and since I know you haven't been as active lately, heres a snippet of it i shared last night:

“He misses you” Derek said into the phone, the words i miss you stuck on his throat. One the other side of the line Stiles hummed.

“I miss him too” He said, and Derek wondered if maybe Stiles also had words stuck on his own throat, words they should’ve told the other before giving up and parting ways, words that Derek was still gathering the strength to get out some day “I’m almost done with his assignment, so i should be home soon, he can stay with me until the end of summer, though that might bring out the problem of him missing you”

Derek chuckled “Not a problem, he’s pretty sick of me already” 

“Oh c’mon, sourwolf, you’re not that bad”

Derek found himself smiling “Yeah, tell that to our kid” 

“Maybe I will” 

The line went silent, Derek had called him to update him on the move and Eli’s general wellbeing, and in moments like these Derek sometimes forgot that they weren’t together anymore, because talking on the phone had become pretty much their relationship towards the end, and slowly they lost the other. 

“Stiles…” 

“I gotta go Der, but I’ll let you know when I’m due to be home so we can sort Eli’s transportation” 

Derek nodded “Be careful, okay?” 

“Always am” 

Stiles hung up before Derek could say something embarrassing like, I love you.
