I’ll admit I wasn’t sure what to make of Gasamon when I first saw the Pendulum COLOR sprite but the artwork honestly sold me on the little guy’s design

Profile

A mysterious Mollusk Digimon with distinctive tentacles who wears a wickerwork hat much like a shell, within which it often conceals its weapon. Although it normally disguises itself as a wickerwork hat, when an unsuspecting Digimon approaches, it launches a surprise attack in an attempt to prey on the victim. For this reason, it frequently clashes with BushiAgumon, a Digimon that gets lured in by its desire to wear the hat. However, Gasamon will lose in a direct sword fight, so it quickly runs away if its surprise attack fails.

　Gasamon's special move Wickerwork Whirlwind sees it perform wild slices as it spins its entire body—hat included—round and round. Its Acidic Mucus special move, in which it spits out a dissolving liquid from its normally-hidden mouth, is thought to be used to melt down victims it has captured for easier consumption.
