A Holy Beast Digimon who can absorb darkness and transform it into light. On occasion, the sheer radiance of this act has lit up the entire Digital World, making night appear as day; this has led to Shishamon becoming known as "That Which Devours Night." Although this ability suggests it is able to Digivolve into a Mega possessing holy powers, it is also feared for its potential to become an evil Digimon as a result of all the darkness it consumes.

　Shishamon performs its Kagura Flash special move by using its shining, light-imbued claws to rip its enemies apart with graceful dancing motions. It can also use its special move Evil-Quelling Effulgence to change the entirety of its absorbed darkness into light and shoot it out as giant bullets, which are said to purge any and all evils that they touch.
