SPOILERS: The prophecy that Jack gets from the lady in Book 1 when she says “You will watch all of your friends die” comes true.
There are some technicalities. But if we are thinking of this as scenes someone could see in a vision where and moments where Jack reasonably assumes the person is dead, each would fit the criteria. He sees all of these:
Sabine: he is with her in the car accident when she goes into the coma and is with her before her spirit moves on
Tom: ak yak got him in front of Jack
Antonio/Carlos: taken out by the Brick Roscoe’s
Vanessa: Spencer shoots her in the head
Farmer Jr: not really friends, but someone Jack has had a long enough relationship with and they find his body at the carnival
Mom & Pop: they don’t die in front of him, but it kind of fits as an exception because he’s never actually met them face to face. This is kind of the only option for them.
Agatha: beats her with the bat and thinks she is dead
Jerry: “it’s my head in a box gurlll” one could argue he didn’t actually watch Jerry die, but he did get his head and was holding the talking head right after it stopped talking
Benjamin: “Going crazy…do de do… Kill a Benjamin…or two” just so many of them
Dr. V: his 4 medical degrees could not save him in his final battle at the gas station
Travis: he watches him die twice
Rosa: stabbed in the chest when she gets possessed by the dark God and dies for a bit
Brother Riley: killed by his cat at the book store
O’Brien: shoots herself in the head and she falls to the ground so he thought she was dead, but it was just her hair that got hit
Am I missing any?? I feel like there are more. Jack will probably outlive us all.
