lots of stalker benson mentions so here’s my own take

benson stalked randy before the incidents at burgers. he’d watch him before his shifts, sitting in his car at a decent distance in order to not get caught, then head off before he made himself late. he’d watch him after work too, even follow him if he drove off anywhere just to see what he’s up to. on shifts he knew randy had, or if they even worked together, he’d follow randy home, just to make sure he got home safely of course.

he’d learn a bit about randy, his family, their usual routines and anybody they hung out with. he even found out about who randy’s sister, hayley, hung out with, see whenever they’d have sleepovers or playdates.

on his and randy’s trip out of louisiana, they’d be talking. benson probably goes on another rant, rattling off about shit and teaching randy life lessons, when he brings up randy’s younger sister. randy never mentioned his sister, nor how old she was. how did benson know about that?

I always see Vampire Randy and Werewolf Benson, and I get the aesthetic of it, but personally I see it the other way round.

Vampire Benson, turned against his will, forced to be the exact sort of parasite he hates, to draw life from others. A predator not by nature but out of necessity. He's seen too much of life and has too little to show for it. Plus, the potential for grunge punk eyeliner-wearing Benson? PLEASE.

And then Werewolf Randy, who hides his true nature at all costs. A predator at heart with teeth and claws buried into his own flesh to keep others safe. Runt of the pack Randy with his tail between his legs. Playing the role of a fawn because he refuses to bite.

And them finding each other. Benson refusing to treat Randy like he's helpless, Benson letting Randy chew on his arm, Benson delighted to learn those claws and fangs haven't been filed down to nothing. And Randy offering his blood in return, actually offering, like Benson isn't a burden for needing it. Nipping at his own wrist when Benson can't bring himself to break the skin.

Hrnghhh.

(Also I used Jack's character design from "Code Green" as author's photo since "he's" the author of the blog and the books. Also I have no idea if the og author has their picture in the books, I only own the ebooks, lol)

Post breakup, Randy always sends the cheesiest “miss you” texts to Benson. On the Fourth of July Benson gets a text that says “seeing all the sparks in the sky tonight is really making me miss our spark”.

And it fucking works every time cause soon enough benson has Randy bent over the closest anything.
