It has always bothered me immensely when people attribute the “your vessel is now discarded” text to the the main all caps speaker in the goner maker. It is very clearly intended to be a second different speaker with the very different speech patterns and font type. And something I think only adds onto that idea is how the official deltarune site even had its own speaker swap!
On October 31st 2018 the site displayed the game information and warnings in the exact same font and speaking patterns as the initial first speaker. (Which only adds onto the link between this individual and the one on the Twitter page with the ability to reach out to Us and their mannerisms being The Same btw) While the speaker that replaced the first one on the site on November 2nd 2018 is very much most likely not intended to be the same secondary speaker from the game (and rather just. Normal instructions for a website lol), it still establishes once again that the first speaker 1) Is replaceable and 2) Is Not the same as others that talk in the secondary manner
I think gaster did not comment on the weird route because it would make for like. A bad story. It would change the framing of the weird route and its vibe of like “we’re doing a creepy pasta level in a video game that is hurting noelle and kris” thing into “yay we are fighting agaisnt gaster!” And that seems uh Worse and sucks out the entire feeling behind the weird route. When you introduce something into the story it can change the focus of the story. And the weird route is not about gaster. I think that is the easiest no lore needed explanation to the “why didn’t gaster say anything during the weird route!!?” question. Because it would’ve sucked

Idk man I don’t think gaster was the one who wrote the prophecy. One of the VERY FIRST few things about deltarune we got was the heavily implied to be gaster figure saying we were going to “make a new future”. The entire reason We are given access to the world of deltarune in universe is to create this “new future”.
The idea of needing a new future implies that there was a future already, and it was Bad. And what did we learn about in chp4 which establishes the idea of a set future that is Bad and Sucks? The prophecy. So we have this concept of something that is destined to happen and end badly, and a person saying “I’m going to make a New ending”. The two concepts together make for a perfect set up for the “new future” to be gasters version of deltarune. Which would explain the “my deltarune” ending. It’s his Deltarune, his new future.
It could be some kind of a case of “ohhh he wrote it in the past and now doesn’t agree with it and wants to change itt”. And that could be what explains the Snippet of the prophecy (emphasis on Snippet it is only the very beginning) that existed in Wingdings on the deltarune site prerelease, as well as the phrasing of the prophecy being, “foretold by time and space” the same as the phrasing of gasters shattering. And I used to believe these peices of evidence meant he wrote the prophecy! But I believed that in a pre chp3 and 4 world. I think having him write the propehcy with the knowledge we have now about the prophecy’s nature and dire ending just does not align with our prior information and only convolutes things.
This is without even mentioning how the propehcy is something known even in the lightworld, so it is not something exclusive to just the darkners or people gaster could have come into contact with.
TLDR gaster didn’t write that shit lol
