5 PROOFS THAT SHOW MAHABHARATA IS REAL
Mahabharata is real and a great Indian epic in the history of India. It is a very long tale any it has many chapters in it. In short it is about the great battle between the Kauravas and the Pandavas, where lord Krishna, pandavas and other rulers fought against kurus to put an end to their treachery. There are many lots of ruins of that period which proves that Mahabharata actually has happened. Many ancient scripts, holy books like “Mahabharatam”, “Bhagavatham” and “Gita” explain everything in detail about the Mahabharata.

Even though there are many proofs and many archaeologists and other scientists approved that Mahabharata is real, most of the people still doubt it. They ask all the time that is it real?
SO IS MAHABHARATA REAL OR JUST A MYTH?
Even if it seems unreal to some people it is real. And these are the proofs that show Mahabharata is real.
As I said there are many ruins of that period which shows Mahabharata is real, DWARAKA is the important and major one among them all. According to the ancients scripts Dwaraka is the kingdom of LORD KRISHNA which was full of riches and joy in his rule. Dwaraka was planned and designed by the Lord himself. It has great architecture.
After the battle of KURUKSHETRA was fought Lord Krishna has left his body and returned to his original place finishing all his duties on the earth for which he has come. Krishna asked people to leave the place after the war and the place was flooded with water and got submerged in to the ocean, leaving behind the trails of his glory on earth. Although Dwaraka drowned, a part of it is on the land which shows us that it was real. And the archaeologists have discovered the submerged Dwaraka through marine archaeology.
Dr. S. R. Rao, formerly of the Archaeological Survey of India has pioneered marine archaeology in India. Marine archaeological findings seem to corroborate descriptions in the Mahabharata of Dwaraka as a large, well-fortified and prosperous port city, which was built on land reclaimed from the sea, and later taken back by the sea.
Dr. Rao wrote “The discovery of the legendary city of Dwaraka which is said to have been founded by Sri Krishna is an important landmark in the history of India. It has set to rest the doubts expressed by historians about the historicity of Mahabharata and the very existence of Dwaraka city. It has greatly narrowed the gap in Indian history by establishing the continuity of the Indian civilization from the Vedic Age to the present day.
The battle of kurukshetra was fought between the Pandavas and the Kurus. It was a great battle that history has never seen and it reflected our modern world war. The battle took place at Kurukshetra which in modern day called Haryana.

ARMY STRENGTH OF KURUS AND PANDAVAS
7 Akshauhinis 11 Akshauhinis
i.e. 153,090 chariots and its riders 240,570 chariots and its riders
153,090 elephants and its riders 240,570 elephants and its riders
459,270 horses and their rider 721,710 horses and their riders
765450 infantry 1,202,850 infantry
Total: 1,530,990 soldiers Total: 2,405,700 soldiers
According to Mahabharata 1 Akshauhini comprises of 21,870 chariots, 21,870 elephants, 65,610 cavalry and 109,350 infantry. And the ratio is 1 chariot: 1 elephant: 3 cavalry: 5 infantry soldiers.
It is quite interesting that sum any group of army is equal to 18. i.e. Kauravas has 240,570 chariots and its riders that mean summing those numbers gives 2+4+0+5+7+0=18. Similarly others yield the same results. In India number 18 is considered important and has a very prominent place in the Indian shastras.

The battle was fought for 18 days and it was shocking that by the end of the battle there were only 8 survivors on the Pandavas side and 4 survivors on the Kurus side. They were 5 pandavas, lord Krishna, Satyaki, and Yuyustu from pandavas side and Aswatthama, sage Kripa, Kritavarma, Vrisakethan (son of the Karna). Still today the soil located at the battle ground is blood red because of the spilled blood of crores of soldiers and animals on that ground.
3.GIANT SKELETON OF GHATOTKACHA FOUND
Ghatotkacha is the son of Bhīma. He was a half-Asura and a half human. His mother Hidimbi was an Asura or rakshasa and she was a giant. So Ghatotkacha was born half Asura being Bhīma and Hidimbi as parents. He was 80 feet tall and a strong body and has many great magical powers in him. Magical power is a gift for Asuras and those powers are at their peak during night times. Ghatotkacha followed his father Bhīma into the battle on his invitation and fought on the Pandavas side.
He was a fierceful warrior and Kauravas couldn’t face him. Ghatotkacha attacked from sky as he has magical powers he could fly even with that heavy body. On the day of ghatotkacha’s death the battle was continued past the sunset. And his powers were at peak. Unable to beat him King (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Duryodhana seeked help of Karna, his best friend. Asked him to use the most powerful weapon “INDRASTRA” given by god “INDRA”, which he saved to kill his enemy archer “ARJUNA”. Karna is a very loyal and honest person and unable to refuse Duryodhana request. So he used it to kill Ghatotkacha on that night. Finally the mighty GHATOTKACHA laid down his life. Everyone was sad for his loss. But the Lord Krishna was smiling as the greatest weapon Karna saved to kill Arjuna was spent then and there’s no threat to him now. It was a great loss to pandavas loosing Ghatotkacha. But it was for that purpose Ghatotkacha was born and he did hid duty.
GHATOTKACHA IS A VERY GREAT WARRIOR AND HIS MAGICAL POWERS ARE SO GREAT THAT HE HAS NO EUQUAL OPPONENT ON THE EARTH EXCEPT LORD KRISHNA HIMSELF. HE WAS SUCH A GREAT WARRIOR.
That great warrior’s skeleton was found few couple of years ago in India which was 80 foot tall. According to Mahabharata Ghatotkacha exists. His skeleton found shows it is true and so is the Mahabharata.
It was scientifically proved that the warriors of Mahabharata used some great disastrous weapons during the battle. It is stated that they used some powerful weapons that are nearly equal to our nuclear weapons today. Unless it is true, crores of soldiers weren’t killed in that battle. Besides the archaeologists, the scientists carried their research on the battle field and surrounding areas and found that the radiation of the weapons used at the war time is still intact now. The programs telecasted on the History channel showed that they used different kinds of flying chariots and some powerful weapons such as Indraasta that Karna used on Ghatotkacha to bring him down. The radiations of that war still exist in those areas today.
Other than these evidences there are many other that prove Mahabharata is a real epic. Apart from Dwaraka, more than thirty-five sites in North India have yielded archaeological evidence and have been identified as ancient cities described in the Mahabharata. Copper utensils, iron, seals, gold & silver ornaments, terracotta discs and painted grey ware pottery have all been found in these sites. Scientific dating of these artifacts corresponds to the non-Aryan-invasion model of Indian antiquity.

Sri Kota Venkatachalam the author of the book “Age of Mahabharata War” gives us the details regarding the inscriptional evidences available. He states “There are mainly four inscriptions extant are available to us which prove conclusively that the Mahabharata war occurred in B.C. 3138 or 36 years before Kali”.
“After Parikshit died in B.C. 3041 his son Janemejaya was crowned in. In the 29th year of his reign that is in B.C.3013-3012 or Kali 89, in the year Plavanga on Monday the-new-moon day at the end of Chaitra, he donated two villages to two religious institutions and the two gift deeds were prescribed. The first inscription is found published in the pages 333, 334 of the Indian Antiquary which clearly states that the gift of land for the worship of Sitarama made by Emperor Janamejaya in Jayabhyudaya Yudhistira Saka 89 means Kali 89 or B.C.(3101-81)=3012″.
The 2nd inscription is that of a copper-plate on which a gift deed in inscribed and is preserved to this day at the Kedara Kshetra, in the Himalayas. A similar gift of land was made by Emperor Janamejaya for the worship of Kedaranatha swamy.
The 3rd inscription is an inscription on the walls of a temple of a siva in the village “Iballi” in the Dharwar district. It was carved by the direction of king Pulakesin II in A.D.634.
The 4th one is the copper plate inscription of Emperor Sudhanva who ruled over Gujarat. It was a memorandum presented by Emperor Sudhanva to Sri Sankara was inscribed on copper-plate dated the year 2663 on the Yudhishtira Saka. The copper plate inscription of Emperor Sudhanva proves that the year of the demise of Sri Sankara is 2663 of the Yudhishtira Era or B.C. 477-76. The beginning of Yudhishtira Era is the time of the Mahabharata war. It had already proved to be B.C. 3138. So Sri Sankara’s life works out to be B.C. 509 to B.C.477-476, Yudhishtira Era 2662+476=3138 B.C.
The other inscriptions available are
1)The gift deeds dated on the Gupta Era
2) An inscription found in the temple of Madhukeswara in the village Banavasi in the North Canara district dated 168 of the Yudhishtira Era.
(3) The inscription in the Belgaum district of the Mysore state dated on the Yudhishtira Era.
