Before I stop with this AU for now, I wanted to draw Gavin 😚 I almost never draw him except in chibi form, so I took the opportunity to put him next to Niles 😊

I know you're very big on canon portrayals, so I wanted to ask, with Gavin and Nines, are you happy with how they're portrayed in your fics/comics, like you wouldn't change a thing or looking back, are you sometimes like "I wish I did this differently"

(A&E) Niner? Wouldn't change anything. Gav? Several things.

As I've stated before, Gav wouldn't have a dog/pet in general. Paws is pure fan service, and the only reason I haven't removed him, is bc I can't think of another reason Gav would (realistically) find Niner in the bathroom in CH8 if not for Paws alerting him.

CH2: Instead of tearing Fowler a new one when told he was to be paired up with Niner, Gav would've been reserved/composed, bc Fowler is his literal boss. That "phck" at the end would remain, though. He'd realistically have the same reaction he has to Con saying, "You shouldn't touch it" in The Interrogation. A pout and an annoyed look whilst restraining his anger.

CH14: The entire scene with Ti confronting Gav about his thing for Niner. I hate it with a burning passion. Men don't talk about their crushes and Ti would stay out of it bc it's none of her business. I wrote a man through a female lens here -- being female myself as well as younger -- and that's why it's objectively bad/nonsensical.

CH18: Same reason as the point above. Gav and Ti wouldn't talk about Niner. The former would deal with this on his own.

In general, it would take a lot longer for Gav to get along with/accept Niner. The fic timespan would never work. That also means that Niner would've fallen in love with Gav 1st.

I've told readers that...

1 day in the fic = 1 week real-time

1 week in the fic = 1 month real-time

1 month in the fic = 1 year real-time

Yet I wanted to work within the in-game timeframe despite how unrealistic it is. Also bc I wanted to use the in-game events. I'm awful at coming up with my own stuff on a foundational level. It's why I've only published fanfiction and not original fiction. At least not yet. I do plan to make/finish OG stuff later down the line.

When I have time/when I figure out what to do with Paws, I'll update my works.

Gavin's totally not crying as he looks down the list and lost memories come flooding back.
