Gavin's a forest nymph who wears green creeper skin so he can be like his tree friends. He can make flowers and trees grow with a simple touch- raised by the forest so he knows its secrets. Legends start about Gav being a forest guardian. And one day, a brave hunter in a bearskin offers to dispatch the forest guardian so the lumber workers can chop down the wood. He stumbles on Gav dancing and growing trees in the thick of the wood, defenseless, Michael just hadn't expected him to be so handsome

Michael who sets his sword down and watches for a couple more minutes before coughing to get his attention, and he explains who he is and what he’s trying to do. Calmly explaining why the people need the wood, for houses and fires, so people can survive, and Gavin who watches him for a second and tells Michael he needs proof. He wants to be taken to this growing village where the people so desperately need his trees.
And Michael agrees before realizing what he agreed to, and fuck this is going to be a long journey home.
