Knights of the Round Table doomed to betray each other. This week's Ship Sunday is Gawaine/Lancelot from Arthuriana!

Gawaine and Lancelot are both prominent figures in Arthurian Legend. They meet as rivals, but soon become brothers-in-arms and great friends. Although, depending which stories one follows, they are doomed to betray each other, even leading to their deaths. Many fans are drawn to the pair because of the tragedy of brothers-in-arms growing to hate one another, where others rewrite their story in fanworks, giving them a happier ending.

absolutely! i don't know whether you want one for all of them or, like, individual songs, so i'll give you songs for each of them :)

gawaine: blood and honey by spirit of the west & visions by saintseneca – he has difficulty maintaining healthy intimate relationships that don't involve a little bit of push and shove and visions has a whole backstory to the connection i made in my mind so just trust me.

agravaine: angry young man by billy joel – i used to give this song to kay sometimes but i feel like it's a lot more aggie now. & of course agravaine by star moles but that feels like a cheat.

gaheris: until i am whole by the mountain goats & death on the becah by spirit of the west – i think gaheris has some problems with a lot of things.

gareth: vienna by billy joel – it just always makes me think of him. but i bet he would listen to the smiths. i hate that i have so little for him when he's one of my favourites ever.

mordred: night owls by dry the river & adam raised a cain – night owls always makes me think of some little conversation between mordred and galahad, and adam raised a cain encompasses a lot of the frustration and anger mordred has ...

okay i have been working on this on and off since you sent it i am STRUGGLING my music taste feels so narrow whenever i do something like this . sob.
