Wayne Munson x Jim Hopper fluff
Wayne Munson and Jim Hopper being old army buddies who knew each other before enlisting, reconnecting more when Wayne gets custody of Eddie. It's a slow process but eventually they start to realise their feelings for each other.
They are the dads of the party, the ones that any of the party or the older kids go to for advice over their own parents, at least for dad advice, Joyce still has the mom advice covered. But any of the kids know they can go to Hop and Wayne for any reason at all, no judgement, no questions asked.
It takes every one but Eddie a long time to know that the two adults are dating as they are not big PDA people. Eddie knew early as living in the same trailer as Wayne meant he was witness the the physical affection that they bestowed on each other behind the comfort of closed doors.
It wasn't until one particular date night that let the cat out of the bag. Wayne and Hop were at Hop's cabin for their favourite date night, take out, beers and a sports game, tonights was hockey night. El had seen this scene before Wayne and Hop having a 'guys night' as the other kids had called, when the party came piling in through the front door on the way to pick up El for a campaign. The scene that the kids stumble into is Wayne leaning into Hop's side while Hop's arm is draped around his shoulders. It was chaos, 5 young teens all realising that their resident dads were in fact not having a guys night but rather a date night. It was loud and rambunctious and bordering on ridiculous, it took Steve and Eddie walking in to get all the kids to calm down and back into the cars. Steve of course freaked out when they got to Joyce's there by letting the other older teens in on the not so secret secret.
In the end every one knowing about the two really only made their lives easier. It let way to more gentle and open affections. Soft touches when scooting by each other, shoulders bumping as they smoke together, sharing cigarettes without a care and yes more cuddles on the couch when Joyce deemed it family movie night.
