A sketch I did in my sketchbook back in 2020, and finally got the strength to finish it today. I’m quite proud of the results.

Red and Gold will war for A power that lies submerged Time to arise Fire and Ice Shadow and Blood A world rebirthed _______
If it’s too dark, I apologize. Photoshop always makes things look brighter than they actually are. XD I’m so glad I finally finished this. After spending most of quarantine basically doing nothing but reading updates of Beastars and this GoT/Beastars fanfic, I’m glad I got inspiration to draw stuff again. While browsing Archive of Our Own for Melon-related fanfictions out of curiosity back in June 28, I stumbled upon a Beastars fanfic set in the world of Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire… which was such a coincidence to me, as only a few days before I had been wondering what Beastars would’ve been like if it was a fantasy or set in the ASoIaF universe. XD The fanfic is called “Ashfall”, and is about our favorite young red deer Louis (heir of House Elaphus – Latin name for deer), as King’s Landing is raided by animals—both living and undead—led by the hybrid Melon, one of the most feared dark mages of the realm. To save the kingdom, Louis will have to work together with Legoshi, the grey wolf and current Kingsguard, and learn to control the untamed magical powers that run through his veins. While the writer only saw the show and never really got to read the books, it’s written in a way so it’s more of a Beastars story than a Song of Ice and Fire one, so readers don’t need to read or watch GoT/ASoIaF to understand it. This also means it can take more artistic liberties with the world and so it creates its own take on magic, which is fascinating to me and a ton of fun to read, as said by somebody who has seen the show and has read the books (still currently on Book 3: A Storm of Swords XD). I’m definitely going to be drawing more Beastars fanart, as well as more fanart of Ashfall, soon. <3 Enjoy! Art drawn by me Beastars © to Paru Itagaki “Ashfall” written by Skeptacles
My name is Melon, and don’t you forget it. _________ And so, I FINALLY finished this, my very first fan-art piece of, well, Melon from Beastars. I think I'd been working on this since May and I'm really proud of how this came out. Melon has literally been on my mind for months now, so I had to. Next to Nnoitra Gilga and Ramsay Bolton, he's probably among one of my favorite villains in terms of personality, backstory, and character-design.
I'd like to draw him wearing his mask next time. He gives me a lot of Äs Nödt vibes with that thing over his mouth. XD I can't wait to see him in the anime adaptation. <3 BEASTARS (c) to Paru Itagaki Art drawn by me/Gazeopard.
Thought I’d show off a couple of sneak-peaks of my latest fan-art piece. Melon again, but this time with a certain favorite red deer of ours.
Just wanted to upload something art-related and nothing I have at the moment is even finished or close to being finished (or not even scanned to the PC yet), and so I figured this was the closest, if you ignore the obvious flaws, anyway. It has been on indefinite hiatus for a while now due to art-block and lack of motivation, I guess. Hence why the trees in the background lack depth. I was working on it since 2022, and so I may never finish it at this rate. I'll probably just redraw it, which was what I was going to do anyway.
So here's my half-hellhound character Kairo (or Shigure as he was called in the time of drawing and coloring this last year) losing control of his hellhound-side/flames. It's a scene for my third book, though I don't know if I'll have enough material for seven books. Basically, the story behind this scene is Kairo awakens in this tanuki (raccoon dog) village after his friends rescue him from Skeldrae's, um, "pack", having been unconscious for either weeks or a month. I haven’t decided yet. But his trauma at the hands – er, paws – of Skeldrae (and Yvalja) causes him to go into fight-or-flight mode when he doesn't recognize his surroundings, not only attacking the other dogs when they try to check up on him, but also causing his Bloodflames to leak out to protect himself when he flees outside. The only one to calm him is Talya (the white dog), but Kairo loses consciousness once more due to overexertion. He basically goes through lots of horrific, traumatic, unspeakable shit at Skeldrae's paws, and his emotions spiral out of control, and Talya ends up being the one to calm his fear, his rage, and his pain in this scene. But unbeknownst to Talya, Ben, Boris, and Roger, Kairo's wounds end up being more than physical. It takes a while for him to recover during their journey to Elysia. An old art piece sketched back in 2017 and then finished in Photoshop in 2018. I got influenced by the Reek from Star Wars and the Balrog from Lord of the Rings. Might redesign it in the future, but for now I'm fine with what it is. Still need to think of a name of the species and its ecology, though.
