Our mission with #GB360 and other zero carbon expeditions is to unearth sustainable living solutions. We believe that meaningful change begins with inspiring individuals taking local action and driving change from the bottom up. The principle aim of #GB360 is to explore what a sustainable future might look like. If Covid has taught us anything, it is how dependent we (living in developed societies) are on impossibly complex, rigid food supply chains unable to adapt in times of crisis. Is there a better way to do things? Of course. With a little imagination and critical eye, there always is. For the last 30 years, former dairy farmer Gerald Miles and his family @caerhysorganic farm have pioneered an alternative way of producing food centred around organic, community-based agriculture that is good for the farmer, good for the customer, and for the planet. Ten years ago they formed Wales’ first CSA (Community Supported Agriculture*) and now supply over 60 local families with organic veg. “This is my university, my college, everything,” Gerald told us, suggesting sustainable farming for him is as much a philosophy for life than anything else.
