In addition to offering resources and information about the care and needs of the domestic ferret, we shelter hundreds of these energetic, sociable animals each year.”

They’re a no-kill shelter with a 100% unpaid volunteer staff.  They’re also the ones who rescued my current three young ferrets, Tux, Miss Rudy, and Kit:

They provide all vet care and cover all costs for ferrets at the shelter, including hospice care for terminally ill fosters.  Here are Chevre, Stilton, and Masuka, three ferrets that I fostered who had insulinoma, lymphoma, adrenal disease, heart disease, liver disease, and blindness (Stilton in the middle had 5 of these 6 all by himself) :

One time at the GCFA, I accidentally woke up a cage full of sleeping babies when it wasn’t their playtime, and then they all crowded the front of the cage like ITSPLAYTIMEzzzzz and it was the worst experience of my life XD
