Jamie snorts, trying not to wince as he does. It won’t do to have the good doctor notice just how much pain he’s in that he’s very diligently trying to hide. He’s not entirely sure his tactic works – it’s never easy to pretend to be fine when there’s a large knife wound in your lower abdomen. Especially not when there’s a man trying to stitch it up as gingerly as he can.
