been thinking more about potential pmd world LOL. This sigilyph is a courier (& emergency sentry. She's deceptively powerful) who always follows the exact same route (as is her nature as a sigilyph) between the most populated settlements in the region. She's obnoxiously excited about the mail: she sees it as both a steadfast thread connecting people in these uncertain, perilous times, and an event to genuinely rejoice. If you get mail, it means whoever's writing to you is still alive, sane, or otherwise unharmed, which is always great considering the chasms and madness that's been cloaking the world like a miasma for centuries

by the way, so far I'm thinking the setting is a sorts of "bad ending" to the darkrai plot. Eternal night, chaos, etc. I always was bothered that there wasn't much "darkness" in a game titled "explorers of darkness"....
