You’ve seen him like this before: dressed to kill, lips soft from a kiss, one hand holding yours while the other reaches for his coffee. Sweet. Quiet. Maybe a little smug when he catches you admiring him, but never too bold about it. You know Seunghyun, your boyfriend. The man who murmurs your name like a prayer in the dark. The one who kisses your temple good morning, who buys you books instead of flowers, who tucks a note into your coat pocket when he leaves for rehearsal.
But tonight? You’re about to meet T.O.P
Already, you can feel it building—the change in the air, the buzz of the crowd, the low rumble of whatever music the boys picked for the transition beneath your heels as you stand in the roped-off VIP section, one row away from the stage.
The lights dip. A roar swells in the arena like a wave crashing down.
Then silence.
One spotlight. Centre stage. The sound of footsteps, slow and heavy, echo through the speakers… followed by the familiar drums of the last song on the GD&TOP album.
The crowd explodes.
And there he is.
Seunghyun steps into the light like he was born there. Tall, sharp, entirely untouchable. He’s wearing a tailored suit with a silk shirt beneath, sunglasses in place despite the darkness. One gloved hand clutches the mic, and the other tucks into his pocket like he’s not performing for tens of thousands of screaming people—like this is all routine. Like the stage is his home. He hasn’t even said a full line, and already you can feel the power in his voice, the danger in his grin, the way he stands like he knows every eye is on him and not a single one matters unless it’s yours.
“I breathe life into your ear drums. This is a message to seduce you.”
His voice hits low and rich, velvet dragged over steel. Smooth, deep, controlled. You’ve heard this song before. You’ve watched fancams. But you’ve never felt it like this—the rhythm moving through your body, the growl of his words making your skin heat from the inside out, the way he’s feeding on it. The attention. The sound. The power.
You don’t know where to look: his hands, the slow prowl of his walk, the slight tilt of his head as he raps like he barely has to try. Like the world was built for him to walk through in slow motion.
He glances your way once.
Then again.
Then he smirks.
Something shifts in his posture and he starts toward your side of the stage. He takes his time, his pace heavy, confident. The crowd around you is losing their minds, hands in the air, shouting lyrics. Yet, all you can hear is your heartbeat as he gets closer. Until he’s standing right at the edge of the stage, looming over your section with that look in his eyes—dark, amused, and entirely focused on you.
He crouches.
Your breath catches.
He grips the edge of the stage with one hand and leans down until he's right there; inches from your face, sunglasses still on, but you know he's looking straight through you.
“Just my rap alone makes her wild. Thump, thump, thump, her heart races.”
He raps the words directly to you. Every syllable carved from heat and intent. The crowd screams, but it’s all background noise now. He’s not doing this for the fans. He’s doing it for you. Your lips part before you can stop yourself. His smirk widens just slightly, like he’s rewarding you for reacting. Then—lower, voice husky and unfiltered, not into the microphone this time—he murmurs just for you.
“You look like you want to be fucked on this stage.”
Your knees almost buckle.
Then, as if nothing happened, he rises. Smooth. Effortless. The mic’s back up. The next line flows out like sin dressed in silk. He doesn’t look back, knowing exactly what he has just done to you and how he’s made you feel: your fingers curl tight around the VIP barrier, thighs pressed together, breath coming short. You’re burning, aching, completely undone while the show is only halfway over.
You suddenly understand why they call it a performance high. If this is the version of Seunghyun that takes the stage…
God help you for what he’ll be like when you’re alone.
The moment the lights go down, the crowd still roaring behind him, Seunghyun strides offstage like a man possessed. Staff rush up with towels and water bottles. Someone tries to hand him his robe. He ignores them all. He’s walking with purpose. Eyes sharp. Shoulders squared. One glove still on, the other tugged loose and dropped to the floor without a second thought.
And then he sees you.
Brought backstage by his manager and now waiting just beyond the curtain, heart still pounding, lips still parted from what he did to you out there.
He doesn’t smile. Doesn’t say a word. He just walks straight up to you, towers over you, and drags his eyes down your body like he’s deciding where to bite first.
“That look on your face,” he murmurs, voice low, rough with leftover adrenaline. “You looked like you were about to come just from me talking.”
You open your mouth to say something but you never get the chance. He leans in, hand slipping around your waist with effortless control, lips brushing the shell of your ear.
“You think I didn’t notice?” He murmurs. “You think I didn’t see the way your thighs squeezed together when I dropped to my knees?”
You suck in a breath. He grins against your skin.
“So fucking needy,” he whispers.
There are people nearby: staff, security, a backup dancer still changing out of his outfit—but none of it seems to exist for him. The world narrows to you. To the scent of your perfume. The heat radiating off your skin. The memory of your flushed face under stage lights. He slides a hand down the curve of your hip, stopping just shy of indecent.
“Come with me,” he says. It’s not a question.
He grabs your hand and starts pulling you through the backstage corridors. His grip is firm, possessive, rings cold against your fingers. The staff part like water around him. A few stare. He doesn’t look at anyone but you.
When the two of you reach the garage, your ride’s already waiting. Sleek, black, windows tinted dark enough to keep secrets. The back door is opened without a word. He doesn’t let go of your hand as he helps you in. Doesn’t say a thing as the door shuts and seals you both inside.
Only when the car starts moving does he finally speak. Voice low, smooth, full of threat and promise. “You’ve never seen me like that before, huh?”
You swallow hard. Your voice is breathy when it comes out. “No...”
He shifts in his seat, legs spread, one arm draped lazily over the backrest behind your head — casual, except for the way his eyes pin you in place like prey.
“You liked it.”
His voice is calm. Dangerous. You blink at him, your breath catching. He leans closer, crowding you against the door, one large hand sliding slowly up your bare thigh beneath your dress. His rings are cool against your skin. His touch is maddening.
“You got this wet for me during my stage,” he murmurs, brushing knuckles right where you feel the neediest. “And you think I’m just going to sit here until we get home?”
You shudder.
“Take your panties off,” he commands, already tugging your dress higher.
You hesitate, glancing toward the driver’s partition. He sees your flicker of doubt, smirks darkly, and slides two fingers along the soaked seam of your underwear, pressing just enough to make your breath stutter.
“Now, jagiya.”
You obey. Shaky hands tug your panties down your thighs and he watches like a man hypnotized.
“Climb onto my lap.”
Your heart skips. He’s not asking. You crawl over him, knees on either side of his thighs, your dress riding up as he shifts to make room. His hands immediately grip your hips, firm and possessive, like he owns you.
“Good girl,” he murmurs, and you nearly melt.
He pulls his cock out—thick, already hard, flushed and leaking, the head dragging against your inner thigh. You gasp as it brushes your folds, slick coating him in seconds.
“You gonna take me like this? In the back of this car, still dripping from the way I looked at you onstage?”
You nod frantically. It’s not enough.
He slaps your ass once, sharp, and just enough to sting. “Words, baby.”
“Yes. Yes, please—”
He cuts you off by sliding inside in one rough, hungry thrust. You choke on a cry, hands scrambling to his shoulders as he fills you completely, his head falling back against the seat with a groan.
“Fucking hell,” he breathes. “Could feel how ready you were from across the fucking venue.”
You can’t answer. You’re too full, too overwhelmed, already rocking your hips like you need him to split you in half. He sets the pace, hands bruising your hips as he drives up into you—hard, deep, deliciously filthy. The car rocks subtly with the motion, but neither of you care. You’re panting into his ear, nails clawing at his chest, while he fucks you like he owns your body.
“You liked the way they looked at me, huh?” He growls. “But only you get this. Only you get to ride me.”
You’re whimpering, barely able to respond, and he loves it. Drags a hand up your back, into your hair, yanks your head back just enough to see your face.
“Gonna come for me, jagi? Gonna soak my cock while I’m still wearing my stage outfit?”
You break.
Your orgasm crashes through you with no warning, hips bucking, eyes rolling back. You gasp his name, barely coherent, and he growls low in his chest as he follows you over the edge, pulling you flush against him as he spills inside you, thick and warm and endless.
You’re both panting, sweaty, shaking, still tangled together as the car hums quietly beneath you. Seunghyun finally leans back, fingers tracing your spine lazily, as he kisses your temple and grins.
“Didn’t even make it back to the house.”

Shipping GTOP Isn't Just For Fans - It's For Friends and Family Too!
A definitive list of all the people in Jiyong and Seunghyun's lives who have made subtle but clear nods of support towards them as a couple over the years, because maybe we're all just old man yaoi fetishists together
Part 1 because there are just THAT MANY people to talk about
Seunghyun's family
Starting strong! Seunghyun's mother and sister have both been quietly supporting them for years at this point. During the MADE era, when his sister and nephew (in the blue) came to watch BigBang perform, Hyeyoun posted this about Yeonjun loving his Uncle Jiyong so much that he wanted kisses from him:
Jiyong has also included Seunghyun's sister and nephew in gifts before now - this was posted by Hyeyoun, of a PMO x Nike collab in 2021, where her and Yeonjun both received a pair. The caption says "Yeonjun and I wear matching sneakers ❤️"
Seunghyun's mum has also quietly shown her support over the years. I don't really believe those old fan sightings from the early, early days, but this one is too cute not to imagine:
'I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post things like this……. It was last October when it happened! Seunghyun’s mom visited the dorm but the members were in the car due to their schedule.
Seunghyun’s mom opened the car door and said a few things to him but Seunghyun just replied carelessly, unwrapping a candy like this……. “Yeah, No, yeah yeah, okay.”
His mom told him see you later and closed the door, then the car door suddenly opened again and someone stuck his body out and said “Omonim (means mother but it’s also a term used to call “Mother in Law”)!!!!!!! Hello Omo… It's Jiyongie…."
Jiyongie didn’t even care about all the fans were around and he greeted her like that... Jiyong made sure that he said goodbye to her as well. Seunghyun’s mom was very happy to see him and she greeted him back in a really lovely way… "Oh~ Jiyong-ah~~ Long time no see~”
She showed a smile that she didn’t even show to Seunghyun... the mother-in-law is in love with her daughter-in-law.'
Anyway, even if that didn't happen, we absolutely have concrete proof that she still loves her favourite child-in-law haha. She follows Jiyong and Taeyang on Instagram (no Daesung, sorry Todae stans!):
And she also follows several GD-specific and GTOP specific fan accounts:
I can't lie, there is something very funny about the idea of Seunghyun's mum following an account called 'gdragooner', who drops shit like this on the regular:
I don't think I'd follow an Instagram account posting things like that about my son and his childhood friend that he no longer talks to, unless there was truly something in it. And if you want to call Seunghyun's own mother a yaoi fetishist pervert too, be my guest!
Jiyong's family
I mean, obviously. Most famously, they stood outside for about half an hour waiting for Jiyong to get out of the car before enlisting for his military service, and it turned out all along he was in that car with Seunghyun. Again, why give him all that time alone with his childhood friend (who caused a scandal to their group not long before), unless there was something important there? I love my friends dearly, but I'm not sure my mother would be cool with me spending my last minutes before being enlisted in the army with them instead of her, unless my friend was also... oh, I dunno... my partner?
It's also clear that there's often a sixth adult with them during family dinners and events - we can absolutely write these photos off as being taken by a server at a restaurant, because most of them have been taken at either Jiyong's or Dami's homes, and there's absolutely evidence of a sixth person eating and drinking at the table.
Speaking of Dami, she's also posted things about the artwork featured in either Jiyong's or Seunghyun's apartments, such as this gold Rudolf Stingel piece and the Alexander Calder mobile above it, two things that have switched homes between them in the past:
Mark Grotjahn
Mark Grotjahn is a close friend of Seunghyun's - they've been friends for at least a decade at this point. He's an artist known for his abstract, geometric paintings, and both Seunghyun and Jiyong have featured his work in their homes and have personal connections with him.
I can't tell if Mark himself is queer - I know he's had female partners, but he's also worked closely with amfAR, a foundation for AIDS research, with his work raising significant amounts of money for the foundation at the Two x Two For Aids and Art benefit. He also created his Butterfly series of artworks, which feature rainbow colours. Obviously, there's a huge connection between butterflies, rainbows and the queer community.
It's worth noting that the above picture is one of the many many instances of GTOP sharing artwork (or, if not the same piece specifically, then pieces in the same collection). For an even more interesting bit of lore, Jiyong posted the above photo around the time of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, 2016 - he had to take down his post in outright support of those affected and the LGBT community as a whole, and subsequently snuck a lot of rainbows into his posts afterwards. You can read more about that here!
This is also a really fun thing that I found recently:
Mark has a series of works that look like... idk, spirals and random squiggles lmao, but he's pretty famous for them. Obviously, they've also featured both on Jiyong's and Seunghyun's Instagrams.
However, Mark's artwork entitled 'Baby Dragon No. 2 Face' featured as the background of Jiyong's phone not too long ago! I just thought that was very neat and fun hahaha:
Anyway, what has all this got to do with him shipping GTOP?
Well, Mark has famously posted things of the two of them before now, which have also been acknowledged by Jiyong and Seunghyun. This very famous GTOP picture is of them stood in front of his artwork, which was initially posted by Mark (and liked by Seunghyun), and then reposted by Jiyong himself (see below). Remember this, because it'll be coming back later!
He also posted the photo on the left of GD&TOP era Jiyong and Seunghyun wearing faces from his Angry Flower series of works. Seunghyun then used the one covering his face in his infamous 'chicken and beer' insanity when he received his exclusive matching flower shoes from Jiyong:
Finally, this is just cute, lol.
In 2016, Seunghyun posted a photo of himself with Mark, plus a picture of the stylised autograph that Mark had done for him. Later that same day, Jiyong (who was on holiday in Hawaii with Daesung at the time) posted a photo of a drawing he'd done in the sand, captioned: "I also got an autograph for TOP!" with the hashtag "#MarkGDrotjahn" hahahaha. Seunghyun, being the prick he is, commented, "I don't need that copy."
Richard Prince
Richard Prince is a pop artist who became famous in the 1980s - he worked in New York, so he was a contemporary of other big GTOP heroes like Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. He's most famous for the Nurses series, and oh boy do we have a lot to say about that.
Jiyong LOOOOOVES the Nurses series, particularly Millionaire Nurse. He's done a photoshoot with it (looking very cunty if I do say), he's got it in his home, he's used it as his lock screen, he's referenced it in his music, he is all over this man and his art lmao:
And, of course, Seunghyun is also a big fan:
In 2016, GTOP met Richard Prince and he signed something for them:
And from that, he seemed to form quite a nice friendship with them. He also posted a manip of the two of them stood in front of one of his artworks, where Jiyong's private account replied 'don't cry, hyung 💕' and Seunghyun responded with a keysmash lmao.
Remember the Grotjahn version of this from earlier? I hope so, because I buried the lead a little there - when he posted it, Richard commented underneath it with the frankly insane response 'Hey. I had that same couple stand in front of one of mine. That's Life.' Might I remind you, he's an American man who was working alongside a variety of queer artists in 1980s New York at the height of the AIDs crisis, there's absolutely no way he'd not know the connotations behind his words there - especially as he knows both of them personally.
You've then also got the time Richard Prince commented under one of Jiyong's posts not long after Seunghyun went into the military:
The turtle has a shell too haunts me in my nightmares, besties. We all, of course, know about turtle and shell, right?
Turtle and shell are their nicknames for each other. Seunghyun is turtle, because he would always carry his backpack around with him and it made him look like a turtle (confirmed in the 2012 episode of Healing Camp). Jiyong would also call him turtle on his old Cyworld messages back in 2005/2006, and would refer to himself as shell:
Jiyong made a reference to turtle and shell as recently as last year when he was on Park Myung-soo's show and they were making, I think, bracelets together:
it makes absolutely no sense for Richard Prince to know about this and reference it if he weren't a personal friend of theirs who knows personal things about their lives, like their little childhood nicknames for each other. Unless, of course, Richard Prince is another yaoi fetishist pervert just like Seunghyun's mother, and he just happens to know the really insane in-depth GTOP lore because he's a secret shipper.
Anyway, I've run out of photo space hahahaha so I'll have to finish this here. Part two will be up soooooooon!
drop it like its hot.
Hi, random question lmao. What is the moment that completely solidified gtop for you? Like the one that made you completely certain that this isn’t just a ship, it’s actually for real
If you’ve answered this before my apologies!
Hello!
This is a great question, and one that is extremely hard to answer because there is just so much. I'll try my best to answer coherently below.
When @boptothetttop first brought me into the insanity that is GTOP, she had everything laid out for me on a silver platter, so I really had all the receipts from the outset. That being said, I was still skeptical at first. I wasn't new to the K-Pop scene or the fanservice involved in ship culture, so when she told me about GTOP, I was wary. I'd seen too much queerbaiting fanservice behavior between male idols to put much stock in it.
But then, as Bop says, my third eye opened 😂
It's difficult to pinpoint one single moment, primarily because our Lord and Savior Jiyong H. Christ really is the most insane loverboy of all time and the man doth constantly provide--but when I look back on it, it's truly the entirety of 2017 and 2018 that solidified them in my mind as a real, bona fide couple.
There is no misconstruing their interactions and support for each other during that time as fanservice. They weren't on stage, they weren't hamming anything up for the public. It was just two people who loved loyally and stayed side by side despite all the hardships they faced.
Here are a few specific moments that are always top of mind:
The Window Picture: All gtoppers know the window picture. The tenderness of them sitting together watching the first snow and the intimacy of the embrace? The way Jiyong is protecting Seunghyun--quite literally shielding him from the world? I took one look and was like "Oh. They really are in love."
2. Untitled, 2014: Up until Stendhal Syndrome, this was the GTOP song to end all GTOP songs in my book. If you haven't yet, go read Bop's analysis of it here and it'll tell you all you need to know. When I read the lyrics and really let myself digest them in context, it was a lightbulb moment. Jiyong said himself that the Kwon Jiyong album was his diary--the body of work that truly represented who he was as a person up to that point. There's a reason the song made it onto that album.
3. Jiyong's Enlistment Day: You're telling me that Seunghyun used his only official days off from public service in 2018 to see Jiyong off to the military? And then you're telling me that he was the only one who went with him apart from his parents and sister? And THEN you're telling me I'm supposed to think that isn't the most boyfriend-coded behavior of all time?????? Gimme a break, besties. I actually laughed at how obvious this was to me. I was so fucking locked in.
And last, but certainly not least...
BONUS: The Flower Shoes: After Jiyong discharged from the military in 2019, he did a collaboration with Nike in which he designed four pairs of shoes. They were: 1) the global release design, 2) the Korean exclusive design, 3) The 88 design (only 88 pairs manufactured for his family and friends), and 4) The Kwon Jiyong design, in which only one pair was manufactured exclusively for Jiyong.
Well, only one pair plus the second pair he had made for his lover--I mean bro. His boyfriend--I mean homie who wouldn't shut the fuck up about it and posted them various times to social media.
And wouldn't you know it--flower shoes just so happen to have a special meaning in South Korea. smh.
Anyway--Viva La GTOP, people. May we never know peace as long as they reign lol
i know a lesbian couple when i see one.
their chemistry is so overwhelming like why does this clip make me blush so much
