To celebrate BigBang's 20th anniversary, this special four-part miniseries is inspired by Still Life and the endless cycle of seasons woven through its narrative. Each season belongs to one member, carrying a different reflection of life, love, memory and change: the courage to begin again, the warmth of a love once lost, the bittersweet beauty of looking back, and the quiet hope that even the longest winter will eventually melt away...
The seasons change and time moves forward. We grow, we leave things behind, we find our way back to what matters, and sometimes, when one chapter ends, another is already beginning...

contents: best friends to lovers, alcohol, drunk love confessions, very fluffy, lots of kissing, debut era ji (2007 ish)
synopsis: your life-long best friend, jiyong, drags you to an event that he didn’t want to attend in the first place. you only planned to stay for an hour, but the open bar had other plans. and when you and jiyong end up outside together after you’ve had a little too much to drink, things move to a level you never thought would be possible between you.
word count: 2.6k
a/n: it has been a hot minute since i posted a fic, so hello!! i missed you all!! please accept this fluff as a formal apology for my writing hiatus, i will do my best to post more often 🤍 enjoy!!
Your fingers are calloused now from holding chords on your guitar, but after playing for so long, you barely notice when that happens anymore. Jiyong is humming next to you, just watching you play.
Nights like this are very common between you two. You playing guitar softly while Jiyong hums or tries out lyrics he’d messily written in his notebook. You love these nights.
Having Jiyong as your best friend growing up wasn’t anything like normal friendships. He was always busy, always training or recording or staying way too late at the YG building and missing school because of it. But despite all of that, he always made time for you. He always showed up at your doorstep if you had a bad day, even if he was so tired he couldn’t do anything but sit next to you on the floor in silence. He always answered your calls, always remembered your birthday, always made sure you fit comfortably into his busy schedule.
You aren’t a singer by any means, but you’ve been playing guitar since you were young, so Jiyong would always ask for your help when he was working on something new. Even after Bigbang debuted a year ago. He would bring you into the YG building after hours and have you read his lyrics, and help him design a melody that fit.
You complimented each other so perfectly that it always just seemed to work out. And now, with Bigbang’s one year anniversary celebrations finally over, you finally have your Jiyong back.
When you finish the melody, Jiyong just stares at you.
You narrow your gaze. “What? Did I mess it up?”
“No,” he smiles, “you’re really good.”
You roll your eyes. “Thanks.”
He scoots closer to you, letting your legs brush a little. You barely notice, you’re so used to Jiyong being in your space that his touch doesn’t even phase you anymore. But you still smile a little wider when he leans his head on your shoulder.
“Oh, Y/N?” He says, your name sounding so natural coming from him. You hum in response. He sits up and meets your eyes, smiling softly. “Are you doing anything Friday night?”
You think for a second, then shake your head. “I don’t think so. Why?”
“I have a proposal, and you can say no.” His tone is treacherous.
You give him a glare, suspicious. “Oh god, what is it?”
“There’s a small get together at that super fancy club I hate. And I want you to come.” He immediately looks away, and you groan.
“You know I don’t like that type of shit, Ji. No one knows me. I’m not a celebrity. Won’t I stick out?” You elbow him, and he turns his gaze back to you.
“They know you! Well… the boys know you. They’ll all be there. And I don’t like that type of shit either, but I am forced to go.”
“So if you have to suffer, I do too?”
Jiyong nods. You elbow him again.
“We can judge the stuck-up rich people and leave after an hour.” He offers.
You aren’t convinced. You lean your head back against the wall and groan dramatically again. Jiyong giggles.
“There’s an open bar.” He says. You turn to him. “Oh, so that gets your attention?”
“Unlimited ridiculously expensive alcohol? Yes, Ji. Yes it does.” You pause for a moment, strumming your guitar lightly. “Fine. I’ll go.”
“Oh thank god. I did not want to go. I’ve been at these stupid events all month.”
“Only an hour?” You confirm, pointing a finger at him.
Jiyong nods. “Only an hour. Then we can get convenience store ramen and go back to your apartment.”
You smile. “I’m holding you to that.”
-
Friday approaches faster than you thought it would. Jiyong had never invited you to one of these parties before. You have to admit, you’re a little nervous. You know the other Bigbang members well, and you’re grateful that Jiyong won’t be the only familiar face tonight.
But still, it’s nerve wracking.
You keep it fairly simple. Black dress, small jewelry, light makeup. You do not want to stand out.
You sit at your window and watch for Jiyong’s car. When it pulls up, you walk downstairs and meet him. He walks out of the car and opens the car door for you. But when his eyes meet yours, when he sees you up close and clearly, he freezes.
Jiyong’s eyes widen. He subconsciously looks you up and down, studying your outfit, your makeup, your hair half pinned back.
You huff a short laugh. “What? Too much?” You gesture to your outfit.
“I- uhm, no. It’s good.” Jiyong stutters. Actually stutters. You don’t know why, but that sends a shiver down your spine.
He gestures to the back seat of the car and you climb inside. He follows, then signals the driver to go.
“I like your suit. Probably costs more than a year of my rent.” You roll your eyes. One of your favourite things to do is tease Jiyong when he’s blending in with the rich managers and stakeholders he’s forced to be around for these events.
“I have no idea, honestly. It’s not mine. It was sitting in my dressing room when I got there.” He says, so casually it makes you laugh.
“That’s almost worse.”
He laughs too, looking over at you with that same expression. He stares at you for a minute. Then, as expected, you punch him in the arm.
“Seriously, man. What’s wrong with you?” You ask, and Jiyong immediately adverts his gaze.
“Nothing. You just… you don’t usually wear that type of thing.”
You sigh. “Yeah, that’s intentional. This isn’t exactly my scene.”
“You’ll fit right in.” He nods, and you laugh again.
“I’m in college and serve tables for a living. How does that qualify me for this?”
Jiyong smiles. “You look the part. Fake it ‘till you make it.”
“Is that what you do?”
“How do you think I got here?”
-
The bar is so stupidly loud. There’s way too many people here. You already want to leave.
Jiyong has his arm linked around yours, and you immediately drag him to the bar. The others are already sitting there. Youngbae is the first to see you two.
He waves and gestures you over. “Y/N, it’s been a while!”
You smile as you and Jiyong slide into bar stools next to them. “I know. I told you all not to forget me when you got famous…”
Youngbae laughs. “Oh, stop. Look, you’re here now.”
“Against my will.” You glare at Jiyong.
He scoffs. “You willingly got into my car.”
“Only at the promise of alcohol.” You shrug.
Seunghyun and Daesung look over, ignoring Jiyong.
“Y/N! How are you?” Daesung smiles, leaning over the bar to see you.
Jiyong throws his hands up, offended. “Excuse me, I’m here too!”
“Shut up, they see you all the time.” You punch Jiyong’s arm. “I’m good, Daesung. Thank you for asking.”
“How’s school going?” Seunghyun asks, taking a sip from his drink.
“Don’t even say that word in front of me right now.” You put a hand up. “I have a Korean lit project due on Monday and I’ve barely started.”
“Well, in that case,” Jiyong steals the half empty cup from Seunghyun’s hand and places it in front of you, “let’s not think about it.”
You don’t hesitate. You down the whole glass in one go. “Music to my ears.”
And not think about it, you do.
You make sure to try every type of liquor you can see behind the bar. You and Jiyong laugh at the egregiously expensive drinks on the tiny menu, then order the ones with names you can barely pronounce. And before you know it, you’re barely able to stand properly.
You’ve been here for almost three hours. And you are so fucking drunk.
You’re clinging to Jiyong, arms around him from the back when he turns his head. Suddenly, his face is only inches from yours. He smiles, light and warm.
“I want a cigarette.” He says, spinning the stool until his whole body is facing you.
You still have your hands on his shoulders, mostly to keep yourself from falling over. “Outside we go!”
Jiyong laughs, standing up. He nudges Seunghyun and tells him where you’re headed. You keep your arm wrapped around his shoulders, and when you stumble, his hand finds your waist to steady you.
You lean into his touch a lot more than you mean to. He clearly isn’t as drunk as you are, but he’s still floating a little.
When you get outside, your ears are ringing slightly. Jiyong has a tight grip on your waist as he guides you to the wall and helps you slide down to the ground. He sits next to you, and you lean your head on his shoulder again.
Jiyong wastes no time lighting a cigarette and blowing the smoke directly into your face.
“Hey. Let me try.” You try to snatch the cigarette from Jiyong, but he doesn’t let you. He holds it higher than you can reach.
“Nope. I’m not being the reason that you get addicted.” He says, taunting the cigarette in front of you, then taking a long drag.
“So sweet of you, Ji.” You pat Jiyong’s thigh, and your hand settles there. Jiyong freezes for a moment, but he doesn’t move it away. “Always taking care of me.”
Jiyong tightens his grip on your waist, pulling you as close as possible. He hums in response, letting his head fall against yours.
“I love you, Ji.” The words escape you before you can think twice. You’ve said it before, of course you love each other. You’ve been friends for years. But the way they sounded hit Jiyong in a different way.
He pulls his hand back from your waist. He brings it up to your chin, tilting it up so you meet his eyes.
His expression is doubtful. He isn’t quite sure what he’s doing. But he doesn’t have to decide, because before he can say or do anything, you lean in and kiss him.
Jiyong didn’t quite know what he was expecting, but he doesn’t pull away. He kisses you deeper, cupping your cheek and pulling your face closer. You rest your hand on his chest as you sit up to better meet his lips.
After what feels like forever, Jiyong pulls back just far enough so he can meet your eyes.
You stare at him for a moment, before smiling. “You’re good at that.”
Jiyong blushes. “You’re drunk.”
“So are you, pretty boy.” You reach up further to hold his face. “Can I kiss you again?”
Jiyong laughs. He feels light, like he’s floating. He’s been in love with you for years. But he always thought it was one sided. He never even tried to make something of it, because he didn’t want to risk losing you. But this look in your eyes, it’s telling him that he’s been stupid all along.
He doesn’t answer. He kisses you again, deeper this time, stubbing his cigarette in the ground next to him so he can hold you with both hands.
You smile against his lips, then after you pull away, you burst into laughter. And so does Jiyong.
“Do you know how long I’ve wanted to do that?” He asks.
You roll your eyes. “Why haven’t you? Seems like it's your fault that it hasn’t happened.”
Jiyong considers shooting some sly remark back at you, but instead, he just stares at you, brushing his thumb across your cheek. “I should have.” He says after a moment.
“Yeah.” You cover his hand with yours. “You should have.”
“I love you too, Y/N.” Jiyong smiles. “Back inside?”
“I have had so much expensive alcohol that I’m seeing two of you. We should go home.” You push against the wall to help yourself stand up.
“I’ll take you home.” Jiyong offers.
“Hey, you promised me convenience store ramen.” You poke his chest.
Jiyong nods in remembrance. “Well, obviously we’re still getting that.”
“Good. You owe me for forcing me to come here tonight.” You start walking away, but trip over your own footing. Jiyong’s hands grip your waist to keep you standing. You fall backwards so your back is flat against his chest. “Thank you.”
“Yeah, yeah. Walk forward before you pass out in this alley.”
“Hold me up. I’m too weak. I think I forgot how to walk.” You complain, but Jiyong just laughs.
“I won’t let you fall.” He says as he guides you inside. “I’ll let my driver know we’re ready to go.”
“Perfect. Sleepover!” You take his hands and jump up and down. Jiyong laughs, nodding.
“You want me to stay over?” He asks, and you nod.
“I thought that was implied by the kiss.”
Jiyong chuckles. “Kisses. Plural.” He corrects. “Sleepover it is then.”
You smile wide, and just before he brings you back inside the bar to bid goodnight to the group, you lean in and kiss him again, just for good measure.
-
Jiyong takes the liberty of preparing both yours and his ramen, presenting a steaming bowl in front of you. You’re sitting on the living room floor right in front of the table.
“Thank you. I’m so hungry.” You immediately snatch the chopsticks from his hands and start eating.
He doesn’t respond, he just places his own next to you and joins you on the floor. Jiyong flicks on one of your favourite shows while you eat, and he just listens to the sound of your laughter as you watch.
He leans back against the couch when he’s done, and you follow, but you settle with your head against his chest.
Jiyong wraps an arm around you, running his fingers through your hair. You look up at him, smiling.
“Is this too much?” You ask, and Jiyong shakes his head.
“God no, Y/N. You really have no idea, do you?” He laughs low.
You furrow a brow. “No idea about what?”
“How much I’ve thought about this. You. And me.” He confesses, a little embarrassed after the words leave his mouth.
But your smile instantly soothes him. “I have too, you idiot. I’m honestly surprised you couldn’t tell.”
He just laughs again, leaning down to kiss your forehead. “I think we’re both idiots.”
“You are more idiot than me.” You roll your eyes, and Jiyong furrows a brow.
“That doesn’t even make sense.”
“It makes so much sense. You’re lucky you’re pretty.” You give Jiyong a side glance, just fueling his laughter.
“Aw, you think I’m pretty?” He tucks a strand of hair behind his ear.
You roll your eyes again. “I regret this already. The only thing worse than Kwon Jiyong is Kwon Jiyong with an ego.”
“You regret nothing.” He says.
Jiyong leans down to kiss you again, and you melt into it. You wrap your arms around his neck and he slides his around your waist.
You stay like that for a long time—just kissing and laughing and pretending to pay attention to the TV show playing in the background.
Neither of you can really believe this is happening. You’ll probably have some long conversation and talk about your feelings tomorrow. But that doesn’t matter right now.
Both of you are perfectly content just living here right now, wrapped in each others arms. You don’t really know what the future is going to look like now, but every time Jiyong presses a teasing kiss to your cheek, a weight is lifted off your chest, and you’re reminded that even if it might be difficult, you’ll get through it together.
the one where you and jiyong both have insomnia, and decide to spend one very strange night together

“oh, absolutely not.”
“come on. just one time.”
“no. are you out of your fucking mind?”
“probably. i haven’t slept in thirty-two hours.”
you huff as you hide yourself behind your door. you don’t even want to see him. because you don’t want to have this conversation or entertain this idiotic idea. this is what jiyong does. he plays games. he tricks and he ruins and if you open this door, you know you’ll regret it.
“doll, please,” he calls, and you hear his forehead land on the wood as though to brace himself. “i’ve tried everything else, okay? it always works with you. i just…i wanted to try. see if it still does.”
you frown. “you realize how wildly inappropriate this is, right? asking if you can come in just so we can sleep together?”
“yeah, but that’s all i want to do. sleep,” he insists again. “really. i’ll keep my hands to myself and i won’t even talk to you.”
you consider this. truthfully, you haven’t slept all that well since the breakup, either. and sure, you’ve longed for the nights when the two of you would fall into such an easy, simple, and incredibly effective routine.
but he broke your heart. and now you’re both paying the price.
“just one night,” he pleads again. “and if it doesn’t work, i swear i won’t bother you ever again.”
there’s a subtle ache in your chest. just hearing his voice reminds you of the pain. of the joy. of every good moment and every bad one, all wrapped up in the same silky cadence.
you take a deep breath. perhaps you’re curious, too. even if you don’t want to be. because maybe this will work. maybe you’ll finally be able to rest and get on with your life.
or maybe it won’t.
but at least if it doesn’t, maybe you can find some closure.
so, with that thought…you open the door.
he looks worse than you’ve ever seen him. which makes you just a touch happy if you’re being honest with yourself. his hair is unkept, the bags under his eyes are dark and his clothes are wildly wrinkled.
and you’re surprised. he’s been up for longer than thirty-two hours before and handled it much better. you wonder if his age is catching up with him or if there’s something else keeping him awake.
it wouldn’t be the first time.
but you don’t fight with him. he’s not here to fight and you accept his terms as you widen the door and allow him to step inside.
he nods gratefully as he slips into your living room, but his eyes linger on your face. almost like he doesn’t recognize you, and it makes your insides turn as you shut the door and put a few feet between you.
“what?” you huff.
he shakes his head. “i don’t know, you look…different.”
“okay…?”
“you changed your hair.”
“yeah.”
“hm. it’s nice.”
you cross your arms. “thanks.”
“sure.”
another pause, and the silence feels heavy.
“well…do you wanna…?” you eventually say, and he nods.
“right, yeah.”
“okay.”
you turn to lead him to your room and it’s…unsettling how normal it feels. like an old habit rearing its ugly head once again.
when you get there, his surprise returns. “you changed your room, too.”
“yeah.”
“how come?”
your eyes roll as you angrily toss your blankets back. “this is the one room i associated with you the most. and short of moving on, i needed something you hadn’t touched or tainted. so i made the room mine again.”
he thinks about this, attention lingering on the new paint on the walls and the new furniture in each corner. “i like it.”
“i don’t care.”
he smiles. “i know.”
“great. can you get in the bed please so we can get this over with?”
obliging, he slips off his shoes and joins you under the duvet. “never thought i’d hear you say that again.”
“never thought i’d have to say it.”
“mm. you changed your mattress.”
“obviously.”
“and the sheets and blankets, too.”
“uh-huh.”
“is there anything in here you didn’t change?”
“the carpet. but only because my landlord said i couldn’t.”
“right.” he’s smiling again. “but you did get a rug.”
“yeah.”
“it’s nice.”
“bite me.”
he laughs now and you want to smack him. “i see you still get grumpy when you’re tired.”
“no, i get grumpy when my asshole of an ex shows up to my apartment at three in the morning demanding to be let in so he can sleep in my bed with me like a fucking child,” you argue. and you know you’re being snippy and maybe even rude, but he deserves it. after everything he’s put you through, you deserve to be in charge of your own emotions.
you turn the lamp off and the dark room grows incredibly quiet. you’re both stiff, unable to relax when you’re this close. you don’t want to touch—not the way you used to. and you don’t want to be close or let your guard down, although you suppose you’ll have to in order to sleep.
and then he says, “i really did try, you know. to find another way to sleep.”
you look up at the ceiling and release a soft exhale. “okay.”
“melatonin, light therapy, cut out coffee. even drank those…sleep mocktail things everyone talks about.” he shifts. “i don’t know, i guess my brain just wouldn’t turn off.”
“yeah. i know.”
more quiet.
“i haven’t done any since we broke up,” he finally says. gentle, like he’s afraid to break the silence.
your lashes flutter. he doesn’t have to say it for you to know what he means. “great.”
“yeah.” another beat. “i thought it was work, i guess. maybe the stress or something. i’ve been sleeping fine, but these past couple weeks…”
“right.”
“and i just figured—”
“no, i got it. it’s fine, let’s just…let’s just try to sleep,” you say and he nods.
the bedroom settles and you try, you really do. but you can’t when he’s breathing so goddamn loud and shifting every two seconds and sighing like he’s in pain.
“what?” you eventually hiss.
“are you dating someone?” jiyong asks.
“what?”
“are you dating someone?” he repeats. “daesung said you were.”
you hesitate. “i don’t know. kind of. i guess.”
“you guess?”
“we’re…we’ve been on a few dates. it’s not official.”
“he hasn’t asked you to be his girlfriend?”
“why does it matter?”
“i don’t know. it doesn’t. i just figure you deserve someone that actually wants to date you.”
“oh, do i?” you roll your head to look at him. “funny, you didn’t seem to think so when you were dating me.”
“all right, touché,” he mumbles. “i could have been better, i know that. and i know i took advantage. you did a lot for me and i didn’t…i didn’t care.”
surprised, you twist your fingers together. “uh…yeah. right. thank you.”
his head rolls, too. and even with the dim-light, his eyes find yours. “i’m sorry, doll. you really did deserve better than me. and if you found it with this guy…i’ll be happy for you.”
you swallow before sighing to yourself. “i mean, i don’t know if i did. he’s…he’s really nice. but he’s so…he’s just…”
“vanilla?”
your eyes widen. “yeah. how did you—”
“he was wearing crocs with tube socks.”
you laugh—loud. “oh my god, how did you know?”
“i might have looked him up,” he admits through a grin. “wanted to make sure he was worth your time.”
“yeah? and?”
“and he wears crocs with tube socks. he can’t make you cum.”
your features scrunch together as you gasp and look away. “ew, jiyong. it’s not about that—”
“it’s always about that. come on, am i wrong?”
“you—yes. what he wears has nothing to do with what he’s like in bed—”
“so he’s not vanilla?”
“he’s…” you pause. “he…look, he really tries—”
“so, he is,” jiyong finishes for you. “well, at least you got some.”
“i…yeah. uh-huh.”
instantly, he turns onto his side, head resting in the palm of his hand as he studies you. “he couldn’t get it up, could he?”
“jiyong,” you groan, and reach out to swat him. “stop, it wasn’t that. we just…we were taking things slow. we did some stuff. just not…all of it.”
“so what did he do?”
“jiyong—”
“come on, we’re adults, just tell me.”
“ew, no—”
“listen, you used to get fucked good. i’m just trying to help you get back to that.”
you frown but do oblige. “i don’t know. he ate me out and i blew him. that’s it.”
“and…?”
“and…i don’t know. he was fine. he was good.”
“sure.”
your eyes roll. “okay, he…he wasn’t really all that into it. he stopped after a few seconds and asked if i came. then he said his jaw was tired and that maybe we should just switch.”
now, jiyong’s features scrunch, too. “shit. what a fucking pussy. ironically.”
“i guess. it could have been worse.”
“really? eating you out was always my favorite. what kind of asshole just stops if he doesn’t have to?”
you feel a rush of heat through your body as you look away. “i guess they can’t all be you.”
“damn fucking right,” he scoffs. “seriously, you still wanted to see him after that?”
“he’s cute,” you argue. “and nice. and yeah, maybe he’s not that adventurous but that’s okay. i don’t need wild sex all the time.”
he’s quiet. “how about just one time?”
you turn back. “what?”
“i—okay, i was just thinking…you know, one of the things we would do when we couldn’t sleep was…fuck, so—”
“oh, absolutely not.” you sit up, as though to put some distance between you. “no. forget it—”
“doll—”
“don’t call me that,” you huff. “you don’t get to call me that ever again. okay, i’m not gonna fuck you just so we can sleep—”
“it wouldn’t be just for that,” he argues, sitting up as well. “it would also help your mood, too—”
“oh, my mood?” you glare at him. “my mood is just fine, actually. in fact, i’d say it’s pretty good if i agreed to let you in my apartment in the first place—”
“you didn’t have to. i’m just saying, if sex with him is gonna be bland, might as well get in one last good fuck before you commit to a lifetime of boring—”
“oh my god. it’s not a lifetime and you’re a fucking asshole—”
“yeah. we’ve established that. doesn’t change the fact that you need it.”
you stare at him. “is that why you’re really here? to trick me into sleeping with you?”
he leans back. “what? no. i don’t trick people into having sex, it was just a suggestion—”
“yeah, a pretty dumb one. did you honestly think i’d say yes?”
“yeah,” he admits haughtily. “yeah, because we didn’t break up over the sex. we broke up because you’re an uptight—”
“what? say it,” you sneer. “say it. i’m an uptight bitch because i was tired of you always getting high.”
he scoffs again and looks off into the dark of your room. the argument lulls. “i could never do anything right.”
“that wasn’t the problem and you know it.” you pull your legs to your chest. “i wanted to move forward and you kept going back. you’re in your thirties and you still act like you’re nineteen.”
“maybe i didn’t want to get married and do the whole white picket fence life,” he says. “maybe i liked things the way they were—”
“no. no, you liked parties with your friends and doing drugs that kept you up for hours just to crash the next day.” you study him closely. “you were never around anymore. i never saw you. we were on two different paths and the only time we ever talked was when you asked if i wanted to fuck.”
“so, that’s it, huh? i’m just a villain in your story. you were this perfect fucking princess, and i was a monster that ruined your life?”
“no, obviously not. i wasn’t perfect. i know that.”
“do you?” his eyes flick between yours. “you didn’t want me to move forward with you. you liked your new job and your new friends because they didn’t remind you of me. of who we both used to be.”
“so? i’m not proud of what i used to do. and sure, maybe i wanted to make a better impression on the people paying my salary and keeping me employed. is that such a fucking crime?”
“no. but you didn’t want me to be apart of that impression and you know it.”
“right. because you were shit-faced all the time.”
he opens his mouth, ready to retort. but then he closes it. he closes it and he stares at you and then…he surges forward.
even if you were given at least two seconds to prepare, you’re not prepared for the way his hands feel on your cheeks as he kisses you. as he presses his lips to yours and steals the labored breaths in your lungs.
but you don’t fight him. you know you should. know you should push him off and berate him. yet you let him kiss you. and you kiss him back. and it’s far too easy to slip back into this routine as his tongue slides against yours in such a teasing way.
your stomach flips while your hands land on his lap. you’re desperate to be closer, to feel his body against yours. his skin, and the way it melts beneath your palms like butter. you dance this devious dance and before you know it, you’re stripping each other of the few clothes you have.
he starts with your shirt. ripping it over your head before his mouth lands on your chest. bare and beautiful to him. his kisses are wet and sloppy and you arch yourself closer as you drag your fingers down his scalp.
the only reason he stops is to let you peel his tank top off, too. and then his pants. and you move so fluidly, you’re nearly naked in under a minute. the only thing left between you now is his underwear and yours.
he lays you down, gentle. surprisingly gentle, given the anger that brought you here. and he gazes at you in a soft, unspoken way that says everything you don’t exactly know how to say.
his fingers brush down your cheek as his body settles atop yours. he still fits between your legs like he was always meant to and the weight of him almost feels good.
“are you all right?” he finally whispers, and he doesn’t sound like the same man from before. he sounds like the man you fell in love with. “is this okay?”
you nod quickly, scared that if you think about it, you’ll ruin it. “yeah. go.”
he doesn’t. “we don’t have to,” he says. “you were right, it’s probably a dumb idea—”
“yeah, but…it always works.” you shift beneath him and reach for his briefs, rolling them down his hips. “and i’m tired. tired of fighting with you, tired of not getting any sleep…tired of pretending i hate you. you were right, our sex is good. so let’s do it. and then we can sleep. and we can finally move on.”
not the most romantic of speeches, but it works. at least right now. he kisses you again and drags your underwear aside in order to tease you with the tip of his cock.
he feels like you remember. and maybe you find just a touch of comfort in that. there are no awkward pauses or confusion about what to do next. you don’t have to find your rhythm or anticipate the next step. you know him. and he knows you.
your rub your clit in order to stimulate yourself. you aren’t exactly wet enough for this to be enjoyable, but you don’t expect him to do what he did before. the foreplay is up to you now and you’re more than all right with that.
however, he’s not. and he instantly swats your hand away in order to do it himself. allowing his fingers to drag up and down your pussy until you shiver before he slips the tip of his middle finger inside.
“shit,” he whispers. his forehead drops to yours. “fucking missed this.”
you bite the inside of your lip to keep from grinning. “yeah?”
“yeah.” he starts to pump, bending your body to his salacious intentions until the unmistakable sound of wetness echoes throughout the room. “i know you missed it, too.”
“hm. don’t push it.”
“why not?” he presses a kiss to your cheek. then to your jaw. your lips. your nose. your neck. everywhere you used to love. “are you really gonna tell me you didn’t?”
“maybe.”
“so crocs with tube socks is better, huh?”
“…not exactly.”
“right.” he adds a second finger and your eyes roll back. “don’t worry, doll, i’ll fix it.”
“don’t…call me that,” you pant again, and he chuckles.
“don’t know what else to call you. you were always my pretty dollface.”
“but now i’m not,” you say. “now you call me nothing. because i’m not yours to call.”
he sighs but does seem to obey, at least for now. and the faster he thrusts his hand, the needier this growing feeling becomes. stronger and louder until you finally grab onto his shoulders and say, “just put it in already.”
he smirks. “how romantic.”
“it’s not supposed to be. just come on.”
so, he does. he takes hold of his cock and he slips it through the gathering arousal until he can push in. and you both reel.
truthfully, you’ve missed the sounds he makes when he’s turned on. the way he groans and grits his teeth together. the way the muscles in his arms strain until you can see those beautiful veins you used to love to run your tongue over.
he’s stunning. even now, in the soft light of the moon through your curtains. his silhouette is unholy as it hovers above you. hips beginning to thrust as you both work in tandem to find release.
and it’s closer than you expected. there’s something about him that can get you there even without much effort. something crocs with tube socks could never seem to figure out.
because he’s not jiyong. and only jiyong can play you like an instrument and make such symphonic music all with the flick of his finger and a thrust of his cock.
he kisses you again and you both feel anxious. soft murmurings of praise and, “keep going,” that have you arching from the bed and moaning into his mouth.
you’re sweating and gasping for air and clutching onto his back as you attempt to meet his rhythm with rolls of your own. you need this. you need to cum so you can find release and you need to cum so you can finally sleep and you need to cum because then you’ll finally be able to let him go. to close the door on the chapter of you and jiyong and move the fuck on.
but how can you move on when you’re still under him? how can you insist that you’re fine and doing great if you’re so easily convinced to fuck him just so you can both get some sleep?
there are other remedies to insomnia that don’t involve his cock and maybe you should have tried that before you let him into your apartment.
either way, you’re coming before you can think twice about it. raking your nails down his back and whimpering his name as he pulls out and finishes on your thigh.
Summary: You push Jiyong a little too far and he has to teach you a lesson.

Authors Note: Heyo, so it only took 7 months for a return to Suit Series. Thank you white suit Jiyong, I love you. You can check out the rest of the series here and as always, you don’t need to read the rest of them to understand this one. The title is a song off the new ATEEZ album and I highly recommend listening to it. 🖤
You watched from the sofa as Jiyong tied and untied and tied his tie. His hands fidgeted as he looked into the mirror with a determined focus. His eyes flicked to you briefly and he smirked at your expression.
“You’ve got that look, Jagi.”
“What look?” He turned around still playing with the tie and you let out a sigh, walking over to him.
“You know, the look.” You tighten the tie with a smirk, your face inches from his.
“The one where I want to take full advantage of you? Yeah, that’s just my face, Ji.” You leaned in, placing a small kiss to his cheek. “Nice tie, definitely wouldn’t mind being tied up later.” He stared at you, mouth open in disbelief.
“The president is out there!” He stuttered, going back to the mirror.
“Oh I know. Seem to remember him being out there a couple other times too.” Jiyong’s eyes snapped up to look at you through the mirror, wide eyed.
“Jagiya, please.”
“Have it your way. I’m off to find my seat.” You leaned in with a small smirk, placing a perfect lip mark on his neck, just above his shirt.
The door clicked shut behind you and Jiyong relaxed as he sat down, going over his notes for his speech. His phone dinged and he put his cards down to look at the message.
Can’t wait to run my hands through your hair later, Oppa.
Followed by a meme saying: I want to sit on your lap and feel you get hard underneath me.
Jagi.
Jiyong.
The president is out there.
I’m aware, I’m looking at the back of his head right now. Not nearly as cute as you.
Why do you always do this when he’s here?
Because you always look so hot when in his company? Like you’re trying to court him.
Do I not look hot all the time? And I’m not trying to court him.
Eh. 7 or 8 most days. Solid 10 for the president though.
You’re going to pay for that comment.
Oh I’m counting on it.
You smile to yourself as you put your phone away, the lights fading down and you sit back in your seat. Jiyong takes the stage, his hair freshly colored in a brown shade, an attempt to hide the yellow underneath and you can’t help the way your breath catches in your throat. He always looks good, but there’s something about the way he walks out that has you coming undone. You spot it then, the way he smirks at you before addressing the crowd and your thighs rub together as your eyes lock on his for the briefest second.
The way Jiyong could command any crowd, whether it was a group of fans or a bunch of very powerful people has always been extremely attractive to you. You’d started off as his manager, your relationship growing and changing over the many years you’d been by his side. Watching him comeback like he’d never left, and dominating the world? It was everything. So yeah, you liked to have your fun and congratulate him in your own ways. And despite the way you’d been teasing him before he went on stage, you were actually trying to wait until you got home to have your real fun with him.
You were waiting for him backstage when the event was over, sitting against the couch cushions with a wide smile on your face. He gave you a warning glance as the team followed him inside and you sat up straight.
“You did great, Ji.” You smiled as you stood to greet him.
He pulled you in for a hug. One that was a beat too long to be professional and you closed your eyes, breathing in his scent before pulling back.
“The car leaves in an hour for the station. I’ll see you then.” You smiled, nodded to the rest of his team before leaning back in. “Don’t forget what I said about that tie.” You whispered against his ear, leaning back to look him in the eye before leaving the room.
This was not how you’d envisioned this night going, but Jiyong had been out of the spotlight since Coachella and you knew how these things went. Photos needed to be taken, he needed to make his rounds. You could still properly congratulate him once you were back in Seoul.
You slid into the car, pulled out your phone and started checking into what everyone was saying. You were on your second rewatch of his opening comments when the door opened. You looked up as Jiyong slid in, jacket undone, tie untied and your jaw dropped.
“You still have fifty minutes before we have to leave.”
“Yeah, I tried a dessert and then decided I’d rather have my real dessert now.” He leaned in closer, the door closing behind him a devilish grin on his face. “I believe you said something about being tied up.”
“Here?” Your breath hitched as he removed the tie from his, his eyes never leaning yours.
“If you think I’m waiting until we’re home to tame you, you’re mistaken.”
He moves over you in one swift movement, capturing your wrists with one hand, he ties the tie around them carefully, before attaching them to the back of the headrest. A smirk playing on his lips as he sheds off his jacket, his lips never leaving yours.
“Tame me? I’m hardly in need of being tamed.”
“The texts you sent me just to get a rise out of me say otherwise, Jagi.”
His hand moves to trace the outline of your face, his breath hot on your skin. His hands trail lower, teasing you above the fabric of your dress, his fingers barely touching you as you wither beneath him.
“Ji.” His eyes snapping to yours with a smirk on his lips.
“I think you talked enough earlier, Jagiya. Don’t you?”
He reaches into his jacket pocket, pulling the handkerchief out. Your eyes widen as the realization hits and you He hovers over you, stuffing the fabric into your mouth and tying it behind your neck softly. His eyes never leave yours as he leans in, his lips trailing across your jawline.
“Much better.”
He whispers in your ear, his teeth biting your earlobe gently before his lips move back down your neck, your jaw, towards your throat. You mumble into the fabric and he lets out a low chuckle.
“You’re such a shit, still trying to talk when I have you all tied up? I guess I’ll just have to shut you up then.”
He looks up at you briefly before continuing his assault, his hands reach behind you, unzipping your dress, a strap falling off your shoulder. His lips mark every inch of your skin as he slides the dress off you slowly.
His hand traced the edge of your panties before sliding them off, in one swift movement. He lowered himself, his eyes on yours, his breath hot against your skin and you wiggled against the tie.
“I have an hour Jagi, we do this my way.” He smirked before his finger slid through your folds. You arch against his touch and he smirks, lowering your hips back down.
“What’s the rush? We have an hour.”
He removes his finger, popping into his mouth, licking the taste of you off his finger. He lets out a low growl, his eyes meeting yours.
“You always taste so good, Jagi.” He breathes before his head lowers, between your thighs.
His tongue licks a strip from your folds to your clit, circling it in slow, careful movements like he has all the time in the world. Your cries are muffled by the handkerchief and your hands wrestle against the seatbelt. His eyes meet you through hooded lashes as his tongue moves in an agonizingly slow rhythm against your clit.
He slides a finger into you, stretching you before adding a second, his fingers pumping in and out of you slowly, his tongue circling you lazily and you gasp with each touch. Your head falls back against your arms as the waves of your orgasm wash over you. Your walls pulsing against his fingers.
He groans, his tongue moving quicker, his fingers curling just right, helping you through your first orgasm. You’re still withering beneath him as he begins to move faster. Setting a relentless pace as he works you to a second orgasm and then a third. Your breath catches in your throat as you finally free yourself from the handkerchief.
“Ji please.” You pant and his eyes snap towards you.
“Please, what, Jagi?”
“I need you.” You whisper, your arms pulling at the tie.
He moves, undoing his pants and hovering over you, he unties you gently, the handkerchief falling to your neck. His lips capture yours roughly and you moan at the taste of yourself on his lips, your tongue massaging against his as he sinks into you.
“God, Jagi you’re so tight.” He groans as he moves against you.
Your hands claw at his back, your moans filling the silence of the car with each thrust. It didn’t take long before your fourth orgasm washes over you. He follows after you with one final deep thrust, his release hot inside of you as your hands move to his hair, tangling in the ends as you shake beneath him.
“Fuck. Ji.” You breathe your head falling into his neck.
A knock at the window breaks you both from the spell and Jiyong freezes, his grip on your waist tight as he shifts.
“Yeah?”
“We leave in five.” Jaeho’s voice booms from outside the window.
“We’ll be ready.” Jaeho knocks again, leaving you both alone in the silence of the car.
He groans as his head hits the back of the seat, sliding into his pants. He carefully helps you back into your dress as you sit up against the seat.
The front door opens just as you finish smoothing out your hair and you lean on Jiyong’s shoulder as the car takes off to the station.
“Rest up, Jagi. I’m not finished with you yet.” He whispers in your ear as his arm moves around your shoulder, holding you still with a smirk.
You look up at him with a sly smile, leaning into place a small, sweet kiss to his cheek. “Don’t change when we get on that train. I still haven’t had my fun yet.” You whisper.
He lets out a laugh, leaning against the backseat and pulls you in closer, his lips brushing your hair. “We’ll see who’s in charge when we get home, Jagi.”

Author’s Note: Let’s address the elephant in the room. This was supposed to be a Dae fic. I have no excuses just know that my heart is pure and I can’t do anything about the direction in which my brain goes. I’m pretty sure Jiyong himself was holding my brain hostage until I decided to not write about Dae. This is a silly little fic and I hope you enjoy it even though Dae Ji’s no longer the main character. He is still there. Korean Valentine's Day Master List!
You had spent many years weaving in and out of crowds and events, never being noticed. On the rare occasion you photographed together it had made sense. You were in the industry, you were friends, nobody ever batted an eye. A lot of that had to do with the fact that the world viewed Jiyong one way and if you didn’t fit the narrative they created, you didn’t exist in that space. You’d managed to slide in next to him at parties and events for years, enjoying the anonymity of being his wife without anyone ever even noticing.
That all of course changed the second you stepped foot in Los Angeles. You and Jiyong had agreed that you were done hiding, you’d both been in the industry long enough that you didn’t care if being together ruined anything. Though, you had a feeling it wouldn’t and this was Coachella. There was no way you weren’t going to be by his side every day for those two weeks.
You did everything together, Daesung in tow as you went to sporting events, dinners, and you hung back in his trailer all Coachella weekend long. Surprisingly, only two videos of you existed at Coachella. One of Jiyong dragging you away from your friends during a set, and one of you with Rose and Lisa watching BigBang weekend one, cheering and waving at Daesung.
They didn’t see the stolen glances both weekends between you and Jiyong, or you dancing on him while you watched other artists that weekend. They missed the way his arms wrapped around you in the grocery store while Daesung vlogged about yogurt.
Somehow, the vibe had shifted completely. You sitting next to Daesung at dinner, leaning into frame by his side at the Dodgers game, laughing at the pre-packaged carrots at the grocery store together. Fans looping the video of you waving at him at Coachella. Somehow, the headlines were reading you as Daesung’s girlfriend and Jiyong was your tour guide.
It was innocent, harmless fun. You’d all laughed about it. Jiyong going out of his way to try and make it obvious you were his wife while you strolled around LA, but the comments remained the same.
How nice of Jiyong Oppa to show Daesung and his girlfriend around!
Look at Daesung & Y/N with their hands in their sleeves, couple goals.
Awe, Jiyong bought her a hello kitty doll. He’s such a sweet brother.
Wait wait wait!!! Haven’t GD and Y/N been going to events together for years?? Did he set her and Daesung up? Taking big brother role real serious these days.
Jiyong had tried really hard to not let the comments bother him. He’d had you in secret for years, but for some reason as innocent as it all was, it was really starting to get to him. Especially now that you’d been publicly photographed alone with Daesung.
You two had attended the same concert and sat next to each other, Jiyong had been working and couldn’t attend. There was a photo circulating around social media and even you had to admit the angle was bad. You’d been on your phone, texting Jiyong while Daesung was looking down at something else. The fans however had spun it like they always do.
“This is insane!” He scrolled past another post and you poked your head out of the bathroom.
“What?”
“Just the newest article from the concert and how much of a good Hyung I am for hooking you two up.” You snorted and shut off the bathroom light, plucking the phone from his hands.
“You’re spiraling.”
“I could’ve fucked you in that grocery store and they would’ve found a way to spin it.” You laughed, leaning into him with a soft sigh.
“That would’ve been quite the show for Jaeho and Daesung. You think they would’ve said something about how you were just showing him how to properly please a woman?” He laughed, a real genuine laugh, his arm sliding around you to pull you in closer.
“I’m just a kind and caring leader.”
“That’s right. The kindest leader, making sure Daesung’s girl is taken care of.”
“My girl.” He corrects, his lips capture yours and you melt into him.
The rest of the night is spent with Jiyong reminding you exactly who you belong to and you’re happy to play along. The room fills with the sounds of your soft moans, his heavy pants and and you come together, clinging to each other as if the other one might slip away.
The next morning the concert and the anxiety over the world shipping you with Daesung fades away as a public statement is made, confirming you aren’t dating Daesung. You glance at Jiyong’s smug face and roll your eyes playfully as you sip your coffee.
“You’re ridiculous.”
“I was jealous.” He shrugs. “I was ready for the world to know we’re together and this happened.”
“Why is it so important for them to know about us now, after all this time?” He glances down at his ring and then at yours and a soft smile spreads across his face.
“Because I’m tired of hiding behind this bachelor lie. I want the whole world to know we’re married.” He lets out a small annoyed sigh. “And now they all think you’re with Daesung.”
“Well, probably not anymore.” You point out. You move to sit in his lap, your hands gently cradle his face. “We can still tell them. It’s never too late to fix the narrative, Ji.” His brow raised as his eyes locked on yours.
“And how do you propose we do that?”
A few hours later, after an extremely long phone call with Daesung the stage was set. You’d go on Zip Daesung and clear the air. It was set to be dramatic, silly, and exactly the right amount of chaos fans would eat up.
You arrived on set first, Daesung had been filming already, answering questions about the rumors teasing them with fake texts from Jiyong and Youngbae and his eyes lit up when he saw you.
“Y/N!” He pulled you into a friendly hug and you sat your bag down with a smile. “You ready?”
“Oh yeah, I’m an actress. I think I can pull this off.” You tease as Jiyong enters the studio.
The three of you go over the logistics and the big reveal before the cameras start rolling. Despite the many years you’ve known Daesung you were not prepared for his theatrics. You spent half the shoot biting your lip to keep from laughing at him.
You had just moved on from the great inquisition and a PowerPoint had been set up with pictures. Jiyong stood, studying them frame by a frame, a hand on his face as he pretended to be deep in thought before moving closer to the screen.
“Here is where I see the first bit of evidence that she’s not your girlfriend.” He points to a picture of you and him walking down the street, his arms around your waste. “Why would she let me hold her like that if you were dating. Doesn’t make sense.”
You and Daesung both pretend to be shocked, a slow smile forming on your lips as you lean in to look at the evidence.
“Like we’ve been trying to tell you, we’re not dating. It’s a perfect misunderstanding.” You click to another picture, the one from the concert. “If you look here, you can clearly see I’m on my phone. I wonder who I was texting.” You look up, your eyes locking with Jiyong’s before you continue. “And in this picture I’m wearing your jacket. Weird.”
“It’s very strange isn’t it” Daesung pipes in and you turn, almost forgetting he was there. “It’s almost as if everyone was seeing what they wanted to see and not what was right in front of their faces.”
“Yeah, that me and Y/N are together.”
“We’re a throuple” Daesung and Jiyong announce at the same time and you blink. Jiyong stops speaking, his eyes wide before a laugh bubbles out of him.
“No. No we aren’t!”
He starts spiraling, showing even more picture evidence of the two of you acting very couple-y over the years. Pictures that don’t include Daesung at all and you can’t help but laugh. Daesung, clearly bored with the turn of events, pulls out a banana, taking a bite as he stares at the pictures.
“Really?!” Jiyong laughs as he looks at Daesung. “Are you serious right now? You’re eating a banana?” His voice getting more high pitched with each word.
“Seemed fitting.” He shrugged, his face deadpan as he stares at Jiyong.
“Show them the ring, Jagiya.” Jiyong begs, lifting his own hand up and you sigh, a matching silver band fills the screen. “See? We’re married. Stop shipping her with Daesung and accept our relationship.” He begs with a dramatic flair, arms wailing while you laugh in the background.
Once the filming is done for the day, the two of you head back home, hand in hand as Daesung stays behind, editing the video. A weigh feeling like it had been lifted from your shoulders as you curl into him on the ride back home. Maybe now you really wouldn’t have to hide anymore.
You curl into Jiyong’s side the next night as he hits play on the video. Daesung pulled an all nighter just to ensure your coming out was as perfect as you’d envisioned. As far as episodes went it was golden. Daesung heavy leaned into the idea that you were hiding something until Jiyong started to spiral. The two of you laughed together, a sigh of relief escaping your lips when the wedding announcement was made. Daesung even went the extra mile, throwing in an exclusive wedding photo, making sure he was included in the photo.
We could still be a throuple… ran across the screen as the video ended and Jiyong groaned.
“Unbelievable.” He clicked the comments and you leaned on his shoulder as you read.
That picture is AI. I don’t buy it.
Not the banana! Really calling back to their debut days there lol. Poor y/n.
Aw, if it’s true I just want Jiyong Oppa to be happy.
Daesung was so excited to have a dating rumor and then GD just came in and stole the whole plot. Typical. So glad our boys are back.
“AI? Are they serious?” Jiyong flipped through his phone with a scowl on his face.
“Of all the comments that’s the one that sticks out?”
“Yes! They still don’t believe it!”
He doesn’t even hesitate as he clicks on a handful of wedding photos, writes a caption and posts it to Instagram.
“Jiyong!” You gasp as you click through the post, accepting his tag invite with a hammering heartbeat. “You just broke the internet.”
“And I’d do it again to see that look on your face.”
The notifications start coming in in waves and you both silence your phones. The rest of the world fading away as you lean in, kissing him softly.
“You’re insane.”
“Maybe.” His hand cups your cheek and he smiles, a real gummy smile. “But now we don’t have to live in secret.”
Me and my wife. 🖤💍
Literally sobbing rn. Congrats!!!

11:42 PM.
the clock on the wall ticked too loudly for a room that quiet. sitting across the room from you was your nearly ex-boyfriend.
“i don’t think we can keep doing this.” you spoke it first, not because you wanted to but because someone had to.
he didn’t respond right away. just stared at the floor, jaw tight, like he was trying to find a way around the truth you just dropped between you.
“..doing what?” he asked finally, even though he knew, looking up at you through glossed over eyes. He sniffled once and looked towards the wall to avoid looking at you, trying to keep the tears from falling.
“this,” you gestured weakly between the two of you. “trying to fit into spaces that don’t exist anymore.”
his eyes flicked over to yours, stern as if he was trying to protect something that he knew he couldn't.
“they exist,” he said. “we just-”
“we don’t have time for them,” you cut in, voice shaking despite your best effort. “we keep trying, and it never works.” wrapping your arms around your body and shrugging.
“it can work,” he insisted, standing up, putting his hands in his pockets and letting out a breath. “we just have to-”
“try harder?” you laughed bitterly. “seunghyun, we’ve been trying for months.” you gave him a sad smile.
The silence in the room was heavy and unavoidable as if you both didn't know what to say next, you broke eye contact. you looked at the floor and kicked your foot against it as you took a deep breath.
“i don’t even know when i’ll see you next,” you admitted, quieter now. “and when I do, it feels like we’re just passing through each other’s lives.”
his expression cracked for a second. “that’s not what I want.”
"i know,” you whispered. “it’s not what I want either.” you looked back up at him to find him already looking at you, eyes brimmed red as he sniffled back tears from falling.
“then why are we giving up?” the question hit straight through you because you weren’t giving up. you were just.... out of options.
“because loving each other like this is starting to hurt more than it feels good.” that did it. you saw it in his face, the exact moment the fight left him.
the moment reality settled in. he looked away, nodding slowly like he was trying to accept something he didn’t agree with but knew it had to happen.
“so that’s it?” he asked quietly. tears burned behind your eyes. you hated how calm he sounded, how final it felt.
“i think it has to be.” another long pause.
then he grabbed his jacket. no yelling. no dramatic last words. just quiet devastation on both ends.
he stopped at the door... for a second, just a second you thought he might turn around. that he would say something, fix it, choose you.
but he didn’t.
“take care of yourself,” he said instead and then he left.
—
the breakup had a timestamp.
not metaphorically. not emotionally. literally.
11:42 PM, splashed across every entertainment site, every trending tab, every comment section that suddenly decided they knew everything about you and him.
“mutual decision,” the statements said.
“busy schedules.”
“continued support.”
lies always sounded prettier when they were formatted in clean paragraphs.
because there was nothing mutual about the way your voice had cracked in that final argument. nothing clean about the way he had walked out, jaw tight, eyes refusing to look back like if he did, he might stay.
and nothing supportive about the silence that followed.
—
weeks passed.
you stopped checking your phone for his name. stopped replaying old voicemails. stopped wearing the hoodie he left behind.
mostly.
the world, however, didn’t stop.
every move you made was watched. every studio session speculated. every blurry paparazzi photo turned into a headline.
so when rumors started swirling about a collaboration, people paid attention.
—
the teaser dropped at midnight. no proper rollout, no explanation. just a instagram picture and teaser video of a black screen, your voice cutting through the silence like a confession you never got to say.
“been sitting eyes wide open behind these four wall hoping you'd call...”
the internet exploded. because it wasn’t just your voice.
halfway through the teaser, another voice joined and it was smooth, haunting, achingly familiar in a completely different way.
a top idol that was highly unexpected
—
the full song dropped three days later. the music video was simple.
no elaborate sets, no choreography. just you for most of it by yourself, in the moonlight/streetlight with a lone car that was on in the background. the ocean behind you along with a boardwalk.
and then him, jung-kook standing in front of you as he sang his lines, portraying your ex in the music video.
two people with the same loneliness from two different walks of life. Everyone knew who it was about.
they didn’t need confirmation when you sang the chorus like it physically hurt to breathe:
“I don’t wanna live forever, ‘cause I know I’ll be living in vain.”
your voice wavered, just slightly. not enough to ruin the take. enough to make it real. as the music video ended, the guy walked away, leaving you alone at the car... symbolic of what had happened in real life that night.
—
he heard it...of course he did.
he tried not to.
tried to ignore the messages flooding his phone, the group chats lighting up, the members giving him those careful looks like they didn’t know whether to say something or pretend nothing was happening.
but curiosity is cruel like that.
so sometime past 2 AM, in a dark apartment that suddenly felt too big, too quiet.. he decided to press play.
—
the first verse already felt like a punch, not because of the lyrics... because of you.
your voice wasn’t polished the way it usually was. it wasn’t controlled. it wasn’t performing and perfect how your management had usually wanted. like every word had been dragged out of you instead of carefully written.
he sat there, elbows on his knees, phone clenched in his hand, staring at nothing as the video unfolded.
and then the chorus hit.... and then it clicked.
this wasn’t just another breakup song you had decided to write, this was THE breakup song.

he noticed things other people wouldn’t. the way your eyes avoided the camera at certain lines. the way your fingers tightened in the fabric of your sleeve during the bridge.
the second verse came in with your collaborator, and for a second he felt... jealous
because the man in the video was standing forehead to forehead with you, holding your arms.
because someone else was standing in a space that used to belong to him.
even if it was just a song.
—
by the time it ended, the room felt suffocating. the silence after was worse.
he replayed the last few seconds without meaning to, your voice fading out, almost whispering the final line like you didn’t fully believe it.
like you didn’t want to.
his phone buzzed. messages. notifications. headlines already forming.
“A subtle jab?”
“A message to her ex?”
“Emotional masterpiece leaves fans speculating.”
he didn’t open any of them. instead, he scrolled back to your post. looking at the pictures that once were where the pictures you had up of the two of you. he exhaled slowly, running a hand over his face.
across the city, you sat in your studio, knees pulled to your chest on the couch, staring at the same video playing silently on loop.
your team had left hours ago. your collaborator had texted you
you good?
proud of you.
you replied with a simple heart but now it was just you and your thoughts and the headlines.
sitting at the studio, mixing things on your laptop and playing them over the speakers, listening to music you were working on or even just listening to your friends music.. you were finally relaxing...
until your phone lit up with a text message for the first time in hours.
grabbing your phone you quickly read the name that had you frozen in your chair. your breath caught in your throat.
you didn’t need a name, you saw the profile picture and just knew.
-
seung-hyun!<3: your song was great, very catchy, very proud of you
-
you stared at the message for a long time… long enough for your screen to dim… long enough for your heart to start doing that annoying, traitorous thing where it remembered instead of moved on.
Finally, you typed back.
Slow. Careful. Like each word mattered.
—
y/n: thanks! i really appreciate that :)
—
three dots appeared. then disappeared. then appeared again. and repeated itself for the next 5 minutes.
you stared at your phone screen the entire time, watching all the dots.
—
seung-hyun!<3: i listened to it three times… was wondering if we could talk?
—
A shaky breath left your lips before you could stop it.
—
y/n: did you want to call?
seung-hyun!<3: yeah.
seung-hyun!<3: guess i’m not as good at letting go as i thought.
Red wine is the truth you’ve been hiding from yourself for years. It fills the room with a heavy scent, dissolves your last inhibitions, and makes the silence between you almost too loud to bear. It’s a slow confession under the cover of a storm, a hidden love finally spilling over, and a boy from the posters who proves that the most beautiful things in life are always saved for last...

A bolt of lightning cuts through the pitch-black sky above Seoul, turning Seunghyun’s living room into an operating room for a split second. The sharp white light exposes every corner of the enormous room, only for an even thicker darkness to swallow it again right after, and then the thunder comes. It isn’t just a distant rumble. It’s a raw, guttural sound that shakes the bones inside your body and makes the huge glass window panes leading out to the terrace vibrate as if they’re about to shatter at any moment.
“Fuck,” you breathe into the sudden silence, instinctively pulling your knees closer to your chest. You’re curled up on Seunghyun’s massive, dark-gray sofa, completely lost in the oversized sweatpants and the huge hoodie you stole from his closet a few hours ago without permission, just so you could feel more comfortable.
“Are you scared?” Seunghyun’s deep, almost unnaturally calm voice comes from the kitchen area, considering the kind of storm raging outside the windows. That bass tone, the one loved by millions of people all around the world, has a strange grounding effect right now, forcing your frantic breathing to slow down at least a little bit.
“I’m not scared,” you lie immediately, turning your head toward where you can make out his silhouette in the dark. “It just surprised me because the forecast clearly said it was moving farther south and there wasn’t supposed to be any storm here…”
“Forecasts lie… just like you,” he laughs quietly, and right after that, there’s only the soft click of the fridge from the kitchen and then… total darkness. “Well, great. The power’s out,” you hear him mutter, and even though you can’t see him, you can easily imagine him shaking his head in annoyance.
Only now do you realize that the digital clock and the ambient lighting on the shelves have gone out, and the entire luxurious district around the Han River has been plunged into absolute darkness, where the only source of light is the headlights of cars far below you, crawling lazily through the rain-lashed streets.
You hear Seunghyun’s heavy, slow footsteps. He isn’t rushing because he never rushes, and when he finally appears in the doorway of the living room, he’s holding a heavy brass candle holder with three lit candles in one hand and carrying a bottle in the other.
“What’s that you’ve got there?” you narrow your eyes as he places the candle holder on the low, solid wood coffee table, the yellow flames immediately beginning to dance across the walls, casting long, dramatic shadows.
“Something that’ll help us survive this apocalyptic night in comfort,” he smiles with that typical smirk of his, the one he keeps only for the people who know him best, people like you. “Since the power’s out, we have to make the evening a little…more bearable.”
You narrow your eyes as he places two elegant, long-stemmed glasses and a bottle on the table, the liquid inside so dark that, in the weak glow of the candles, it looks almost like blood.
“Oh no,” you groan, burying your face in a pillow to muffle your annoyed grumble. “Red wine? Seriously? Seunghyun, please… Just give me a beer. I know very well you have at least one can of Cass hidden somewhere.”
“The beer is gone,” he says without blinking, walking around to the other side of the table to sit directly on the floor, leaning his back against the armchair opposite you. “And besides, this isn’t just some ordinary wine. This is Château Cheval Blanc, 2010 vintage, and I’ve been waiting all this time for the right occasion to open it. That moment has come right now…”
“It hasn’t, so put it right back and save it for someone who actually has taste and can appreciate it properly,” you shoot back, a flash of amusement in your eyes. “You know very well I simply can’t tell good wine apart from bad… Besides, it gets me drunk instantly, and my wine hangovers are absolutely brutal. Tomorrow my head is going to feel like it’s in a vice. So be a dear and just give me a beer, okay?”
“Bad luck,” he looks at you through the candle flames, his pupils gleaming mischievously for a moment. He’s sitting a few feet away from you, completely relaxed, his long legs stretched out along the coffee table, adding with mild amusement, “There’s simply no beer, so you’re going to stop protesting and drink with me. You’re my guest, and it’s your duty to suffer through my luxury.”
“I’m your friend, so I don’t have to do anything,” you correct him with feigned defiance, but the corner of your mouth twitches with a smile because you know very well you lost this fight before it even began.
You watch in fascination as his long, elegant fingers remove the foil from the neck of the bottle with absolute confidence, and then, using a corkscrew, he pulls the cork with a quiet, deep pop. The heavy, rich scent of expensive red wine immediately spills into the air, accompanied by notes of ripe fruit and wood, something that suits Seunghyun perfectly because he himself smells very similar, like something purely masculine and spicy that always makes you breathe a little deeper whenever you’re close to him…
As he pours the dark liquid into both glasses, the wine rolls lazily against the crystal, leaving thick, slow legs behind.
“Cheers,” he says, lifting his glass, his lips curling into that familiar, playful smirk. He looks toward the window, where the storm outside is now reaching its strongest, darkest phase. “And… to the end of the world…”
With a quiet sigh, you slide down from the sofa onto the soft carpet, staying seated with your back against the upholstery, so now the full width of the massive coffee table separates you. You take the glass delicately by the stem, exactly the way he used to like teaching you, reaching out to clink it with his right above the candle flames, a clean, bright ring echoing through the room.
You tilt the glass to your lips and take a careful sip, immediately wrinkling your nose as the dry, bitter taste tightens your lips.
“God,” you breathe, shuddering slightly. “That’s terribly strong, and it tastes… well, basically like an old, musty cellar full of crushed plums someone completely forgot about years ago...”
Seunghyun bursts out laughing at once, that typical deep, throaty laugh of his visibly vibrating through his whole chest. “Crushed plums? You really are a genuine barbarian. There’s no hope for you…”
“I don’t care,” you laugh, cheekily turning the bottle on the table toward yourself to get a better look at the label, even though you can’t read much of the golden letters in the dim room. “How much did this even cost? A thousand dollars? Or straight up two?”
Without warning, Seunghyun stretches his large hand across the table, gently pulling the bottle from your fingers with quiet amusement, and places it back beside his armchair, completely out of your reach. “Better not ask at all. Knowing it’s luxurious and extremely expensive should be enough for you, so stop complaining, drink up, and mind your own business.”
“You’re so unbearable… an incredibly rich snob,” you laugh, throwing one of the small pillows at him, which he skillfully catches with a chuckle.
“And you’re my annoying guest, who has nothing better to do than constantly irritate me because you rely far too much on the fact that I wouldn't dare throw you out in this insane weather,” he returns your smirk, quietly watching you for a while as you thoughtfully play with your glass before he comfortably rests his head against the upholstery of the chair.
“You know what? We could play a game. Maybe this night without power will pass a little faster, and you’ll be at least slightly less unbearable.”
“What game? If you mean Monopoly, I refuse to play because you cheated last time, and I’m not in the mood to lose to your tricks.”
“Truth or… no, we’ll just do Truth,” he corrects himself immediately, amusement flashing in his eyes when he sees your suspicious expression. “We’ll take turns, so you ask a question and then I ask one, but we both have to answer completely honestly and without any stupid excuses. Deal?”
You narrow your eyes and give him a doubtful look. “Truth? Seunghyun, for God’s sake, we’ve known each other for so many years and we know almost everything about each other. What new thing could you possibly want to find out about me?”
“We’ll see. Maybe you can still surprise me,” he shrugs indifferently, taking another sip of wine, as if your hesitation only entertains him more. “I’ll start so you can see I’m still a gentleman. Ask away…”
You straighten up a little, shift on the carpet, and think for a second to make sure your first move is worth it. “Fine, first question, a really easy warm-up… What’s your favorite chair in this room? I know you have a penthouse full of them and you’re obsessed with designer pieces, but which one do you actually like the most?”
Seunghyun sighs theatrically, lazily pointing his thumb at the armchair he’s leaning against. “This Danish one from the sixties, because it has the best angle for my back when I come home completely exhausted from the studio and just need to switch off. Now it’s my turn… If you could change one single thing in my penthouse right now, what would it be?”
“I’d immediately throw out that creepy metal sculpture from the hallway, the one I almost break my toe on every time I go to the bathroom in the dark,” you blurt out without hesitation, and both of you burst into genuine laughter. The atmosphere between you suddenly becomes incredibly relaxed, exactly the way you’re used to during your ordinary friendly evenings, when neither of you has to pretend anything. Outside, all hell is still breaking loose and the rain is whipping against the glass, the glow of the dancing candles making you start to feel a strange, heavy heat.
You look at Seunghyun and notice that, because of the strong wine, his sharply cut features already have a warm, flushed glow, and judging by the way your temples are throbbing, you’re not doing any better yourself.
“Fine, my turn,” you chime in, fixing your gaze on him. “If you hadn’t taken the path of music and art back then, what would you be doing today? And be real with me. No posing.”
Seunghyun goes quiet for a moment, staring into the candle flame until his usually unreadable gaze turns strangely serious. “I’d probably have a small, quiet winery somewhere far out in the countryside, living completely peacefully, growing grapes, and only talking to people I actually want to talk to.” He turns his head back toward you, his deep voice dropping slightly in the quiet room. “My turn, Y/N. What are you most afraid of in life? But be honest with me.”
The question catches you off guard, leaving you speechless for a moment, because this is no longer just innocent teasing across the table. You take a sip of wine, which suddenly tastes a little less bitter and softer on your tongue, quietly admitting, “That I'll end up completely alone… That the people who matter to me the most will simply disappear one day, and I won’t have anyone I can call without hesitation at three in the morning when my world falls apart...”
Seunghyun doesn’t answer, he doesn’t even nod, keeping the heavy silence between you intact, but his dark eyes narrow for a moment, a deep, unspoken understanding in his intense gaze. You know very well that he knows this specific kind of loneliness and fear all too well...
You take your glass and take another long sip, your cheeks burning more and more from the stoney buzz, while that heavy, expensive Cheval Blanc slowly but surely dissolves the last of your inhibitions.
“My turn,” you say, your voice suddenly a little bolder, maybe even too bold. “And now I want the absolute, raw truth from you, Seunghyun… When you were at the very peak of your career with BigBang, did you ever just want to say screw all that enormous pressure and run away somewhere?”
“Every day,” he answers without a second of hesitation. At that exact moment, lightning flashes wildly outside, a sharp white light flooding his sharply carved, flushed face for a brief second before the flickering candle shadows swallow the room again. His deep voice sounds unbelievably honest in the quiet room, accompanied only by the raging rain beating against the glass, as he quietly adds, “I was insanely tired back then, Y/N… Everyone saw me as that tough, unreachable rapper from the posters, but inside I was completely lost at times. The only thing that kept me afloat back then was the guys…and you.”
Your heart skips a beat, and you just watch him in fascination across the table, the profile of his face in the glow of the flames looking as if it’s been carved from marble. That perfectly sharp jaw, straight nose, thick brows, and eyes that are hidden in shadow right now, yet you can still feel their unbearable weight with your entire being.
Seunghyun slowly straightens up, placing his glass on the wooden table with a soft click, and fixes you with a direct stare that instantly gives you goosebumps, because the whole game has suddenly shifted somewhere there’s no turning back from.
“My turn, Y/N,” he whispers, that bass tone rattling you to your very core before he continues, “Is there something you’ve never told me in all these long years we’ve known each other? Something really important?”
You take a deep breath, the liquid courage finally giving you that exact dose of bravery you’ve been suffocating inside yourself all this time, so you just stare blankly into the dark liquid in your glass, letting out a weak chuckle. “Probably not… although, when I think about it, actually yes, there is one thing…”
“Then out with it,” he urges, shifting slightly in place, but there isn’t a trace left of his previous teasing tone, a strange, thick tension having settled in his voice along with a clear desire to uncover your secret.
“Back when you debuted… in that very first era, you know what I mean… I was completely, insanely, hopelessly in love with you.”
The room falls absolutely silent for a second, as if even the wild storm outside has held its breath, waiting to see what happens.
Seunghyun doesn’t move at all. He only keeps watching you unreadably across the table, his dark gaze slowly moving from your eyes to your flushed lips and then back again.
“Really?” His voice drops another octave, and there isn’t even a hint of amusement in it,only pure, genuine interest that burns you from the inside out.
“Yeah,” you nod, trying to lighten the mood by taking another long sip of wine. “Seriously, I downloaded all your photos back then, and while my friends were drooling over Jiyong, I only had eyes for you. It was just a horrible teenage obsession…”
“And why did you never tell me?” he asks slowly, never taking his eyes off you despite the distance between you on the carpet.
“Because then we actually got to know each other for real,” you shrug indifferently, a faint smile on your lips. “We became friends, and I found out that although you’re a talented genius, you’re also a total idiot who collects expensive chairs and forgets to reply to my texts for three days, so that illusion of the perfect idol disappeared pretty fast…”
“An idiot, huh?” he repeats quietly, but he doesn’t sound angry at all. It sounds more like suppressed amusement, yet in the candlelight, it mixes dangerously with something much darker and bolder. “So you don’t like me anymore?”
“Now I just know you,” you correct him quickly, looking straight into his eyes to make sure your voice sounds as calm as possible. “You haven’t been that unreachable poster boy to me for a long time, the kind you can only wonder about.”
“You’re avoiding the answer to my question, Y/N,” Seunghyun notes, the air in the room thickening noticeably at once. Then he makes a move that literally knocks the breath from your lungs. Smoothly, he shifts onto his knees, planting his palms on the soft carpet, and starts crawling toward you. He moves around the massive coffee table with unbelievable ease, and it isn’t some reckless gesture, he moves like a predator who knows very well that his prey has nowhere to run… and doesn’t actually want to.
You watch in fascination as his broad shoulders tense beneath his black cotton T-shirt with each shift of weight onto his hands. He draws closer to you inch by inch while thunder roars outside, dramatically accompanying every one of his movements until he finally crosses the entire distance that had safely separated you before.
Your heart is pounding so hard you can feel it in the back of your throat, and even though you instinctively want to back away, your back is already pressed firmly against the sofa, leaving you trapped in the most beautiful cage of your life…
He stops right in front of you, his face only inches from yours now, your skin tingling against his hot, wine-scented breath. His palms settle with absolute certainty on the carpet on both sides of your hips, pinning you perfectly beneath his body. When another sharp flash of lightning lights up the entire room, you catch a glimpse of his flushed cheeks, his raw expression, and eyes full of absolute determination.
“What if that poster boy hasn’t wanted to be unreachable for a very long time?” he whispers, that unbelievably deep voice of his immediately sending goosebumps racing down your spine. “What if he’s been waiting in all that loneliness this whole time, just for the girl who adored him so terribly to finally grow up and look at him exactly the way she’s looking right now?”
“And how am I… looking at you?” you breathe, barely audible, your gaze slipping uncontrollably to his lips, full, slightly slick with wine, and so dangerously close.
“Like you want to taste me…” Seunghyun whispers, and in that exact moment, another flash outside makes sure you see the pure, undiluted hunger in his dark eyes, breaking you completely.
You simply can’t hold back anymore, lifting your hand to dig your fingers firmly into the thick, dark hair at the back of his neck, pulling him wildly toward you until your lips finally meet. It isn’t a gentle or careful kiss. It’s a fierce clash of two people who have been waiting for this for far too long, and Seunghyun lets out a deep, animalistic groan right from the start, the sound vibrating directly into your mouth. His lips are firm, unbelievably warm, and taste exactly the way you’ve always imagined, like temptation, sin, and luxurious wine…
His tongue immediately and without invitation forces its way deeper, conquering you with absolute certainty, taking you so fiercely as if he wants to claim every single piece of your being forever. Your hands slide from his hair to his firm shoulders, clinging to him desperately while he shifts all his weight forward, pressing you down into the soft carpet.
“Y/N,” he breathes your name directly against your lips, pulling away for only a brief second to catch his breath before his mouth moves lower to your jaw. He kisses you with a wild, hungry fervor until his teeth gently catch the sensitive skin on your neck, right where your pulse is beating frantically.
“Fuck, Seunghyun…” you moan helplessly, tilting your head back to give him more space, your fingers digging desperately into his back through the fabric of his T- shirt.
His hands don’t waste a single second. One of his large palms slides to your hip, gripping you firmly before slipping without hesitation beneath the hem of your hoodie. The touch of his warm skin on your bare belly feels like liquid fire, your stomach immediately tightening with that unbelievable, consuming pleasure. His fingers move slowly upward along your ribs until his palm completely cups your breast through the thin fabric of your bra, and when his thumb teasingly brushes over your nipple, making it harden instantly, a quiet, broken moan escapes your lips.
“Do you like that, Y/N?” he whispers right against your ear, his lips gently brushing your earlobe while his hand keeps working its magic over your body with absolute confidence. “Tell me... I want to hear you say it.”
“Yes… yes, I like it. Please, don’t stop,” you whisper in response, the liquid courage completely melting away any remaining inhibitions, because you simply want all of him, here and now…
Seunghyun smoothly straightens up onto his knees, his dark gaze never leaving you for a single second. With one swift movement, he pulls his black T-shirt over his head, tossing it somewhere into the darkness behind him, and in the glow of the flickering candles and occasional flashes from the storm outside, his perfect chest is revealed. The sight literally knocks the breath from your lungs, because the poster boy is definitely gone, and in front of you stands a grown, dangerously handsome man who has full control over the entire situation.
Seunghyun doesn’t waste precious time, grabbing the bottom hem of your hoodie to help you pull it off quickly before immediately doing the same with your bra. When you’re lying in front of him half-naked, in nothing but your sweatpants, his eyes slide down, locking onto your breasts for a long, heavy moment. You tremble slightly under his gaze, completely consumed by the way he’s looking at you, watching his chest rise sharply as a shiny drop of sweat slides down his heated skin.
Your palms try to hide your exposed breasts, but Seunghyun’s reflexes are faster, catching your wrists and pinning them down to the carpet.
“Don’t hide… You’re so beautiful,” he breathes softly, the raw sincerity in his voice piercing your heart in a strange way. “You always have been, and I’ve been waiting for this moment for so terribly long,” he whispers, lowering himself to one of your breasts to gently take your nipple into his mouth, making your back arch as a louder moan escapes your lips.
Releasing your hands, he slides one of his palms to the waistband of your sweatpants, and without any warning or hesitation, he pulls them down with one sharp tug, together with your panties, stripping you of your last pieces of clothing. The cold air in the room hits your skin for a brief second, but before you can say anything or object, Seunghyun moves lower between your legs.
His long, warm hands grip your thighs firmly, spreading them wide without hesitation as he kneels between them, lowering his head directly to your core.
“Seunghyun! What are you—” you blurt out in shock, your hot cheeks flushing even more when you feel his warm breath against your most sensitive skin.
He doesn’t let you finish at all, his wet, warm tongue deliberately dragging over your clit for the first time. Immediately, your back arches and your fingers dig deep into the fluffy carpet, the intense sensation hitting you like an electric current. Seunghyun holds your thighs firmly, digging his thumbs deep into your skin so you can’t move away, devouring you with a hungry intensity that pushes you straight toward the edge.
He slides two fingers deep into your heat, and that relentless pressure immediately starts driving you completely insane. His tongue moves in a wild, ravenous rhythm, teasing your clit without pause, while his fingers move inside you with absolute certainty, rhythmically hitting that sweet spot deep within you.
“Oh my God… Seunghyun, I…” your moans grow louder and louder in the silence of the room, completely losing all control over your own voice. Your hips instinctively rise to meet every thrust of his fingers and every flick of his tongue.
For one brief second, Seunghyun pulls away only to look up along your naked body, his lips slick with your arousal, his eyes dark and wild when lightning flashes sharply outside. Just the sight of him between your thighs is enough to bring you to the edge on its own, looking so dangerously handsome as he pants for breath…
“You taste so much better than the most expensive wine in the world… you taste like fucking heaven, Y/N…”
With those words, he drops back down between your thighs, increasing his pace even more. His fingers begin hitting that sweet spot inside you without fail, his tongue flicking over your clit with such intensity that your whole body starts trembling uncontrollably.
Your body arches like a bow, a sharp, loud sob escaping your lips, only to be immediately swallowed by another deafening clap of thunder outside as you fall straight into your first wild orgasm. Your inner muscles pulse helplessly and fiercely around his fingers while you gasp for air, completely undone by the unbelievable pleasure. Your hand moves into Seunghyun’s hair, needing to touch him in this moment of absolute bliss, your fingers trembling slightly through his dark strands while you try to calm your frantic breathing.
Seunghyun catches the last hot drops of your release, licking them from your sensitive skin before slowly straightening up to quickly rid himself of his pants. When he returns over you a moment later, completely naked, your thighs brush against each other, forcing a moan from your lips as you feel the hard length of his cock rub against your entrance.
“Look at me, Y/N… please,” he whispers softly, his long fingers spreading your thighs even farther apart as he kneels firmly between them.
You open your eyes to see his perfect face, the wild lightning outside revealing the sharpness of his features and the flushed glow of his cheeks every few seconds. His lips are parted, his eyes unbelievably dark and deep, like the darkest wine.
“I want to remember this moment, Y/N… and I want you to remember it too, to feel it with every sense, just like I do,” he whispers, bracing himself firmly on his hands before entering you with one slow, smooth thrust.
Your next loud gasp escapes your lips, only to be completely silenced a split second later by a huge clap of thunder that shakes the entire penthouse. Seunghyun lets out a deep, ragged groan above you as your body, still oversensitive from the previous orgasm, wraps around him tight and snug. He’s huge, filling you so perfectly that you feel as if there’s no room left inside you for anything else in the world.
Your muscles grip him tightly, forcing Seunghyun to freeze completely for a second with his eyes squeezed shut, a deep crease appearing on his forehead as he fights to maintain control and suppress the primal groan ripping through him.
“Fuck, you’re so tight…” he hisses through clenched teeth, a vein pulsing at his temple as he leans down to kiss you slowly.
“Seunghyun… please,” you beg desperately, wrapping your legs around his waist to pull him even deeper inside, aching for him to finally start moving.
Seunghyun begins to move, slowly at first, with long, deep thrusts, each push forcing you to gasp for air. The candles on the table cast your tangled shadows across the surrounding walls, looking like a chaotic dance beneath the wild assault of flashes from outside, every impact of his hips against yours accompanied by a soft, wet sound that drives you completely insane.
Gradually, though, he loses his composure in the hot darkness, because Seunghyun’s self-control begins to crumble completely under the weight of passion. His thrusts become much faster, harder, and deeper. Outside the windows, the apocalypse may be raging, but inside Seunghyun’s penthouse, it’s a thousand times wilder and more scorching than anything happening outside.
“Seunghyun! Oh my God…” your nails uncontrollably claw deep red marks into his naked back as your entire world narrows to one single point, to Seunghyun. You’re so unbelievably close to another orgasm, your whole body is on fire and your muscles are stretched to the breaking point, until your next loud gasp disappears for good in the rumble of thunder mixing with Seunghyun’s moans. He isn’t controlling himself at all anymore, growling wildly right into your ear with every hard thrust and taking you exactly the way you’ve always wanted.
He hears the change in your voice, in your moans, seeing the shift in your face as he speeds up his thrusts even more. His quickened breath is loud and hot, his hips crashing into yours with wild urgency while the lightning outside illuminates the room in a completely frantic rhythm.
“Come with me, Y/N,” he breathes hotly right into your mouth, catching your lips in another deep kiss. Your body vibrates in unbelievably strong, uncontrollable waves of orgasm, everything around you blurring for a second, your muscles clenching around his cock in regular contractions. You moan loudly into his mouth while outside, the loudest thunder of the entire night crashes…
Seunghyun lets out a deep growl, giving three final thrusts, and comes inside you with a loud exhale. The muscles in his back immediately go rigid, his whole body pulling tight like a guitar string, and he stays lying limp on top of you, breathing heavily with his head buried in your warm shoulder.
After a while, the only sound in the room is your frantic breathing and the gradually quieting, lazy drumming of rain against the windows, as if the storm outside has finally served its purpose and is slowly beginning to move farther south, just like the weather forecast claimed…
It takes a really long time before your racing hearts return at least a little closer to normal. Seunghyun slowly rolls onto his side, but he doesn’t let go of you for even a second, pulling you firmly against him face-to-face and wrapping his long arms around you. He throws a soft blanket over you both, the one he pulled down from the sofa with one swift movement earlier.
His chest rises against your bare breasts in a steady, soothing rhythm. You lift your hand, gently tracing his face, needing to touch him and make sure this whole night isn’t just a dream. Seunghyun gives you his widest, most satisfied smile, kissing your messy hair while still slightly out of breath.
“I love you, Y/N…” he whispers as your eyes meet again. “I’ve always loved you. I just… never had the courage to make the first move,” he murmurs, brushing a strand of hair away from your forehead.
“I love you too, Seunghyun,” you admit, your voice trembling. “Promise me that when I wake up in the morning, everything will still be like this…”
“I promise. I’ll never let you out of my arms again,” he replies, pulling you closer to kiss you once more.
After a while, you look through the dimness of the room toward the coffee table, where the last few dark drops of red wine remain in the glasses, your head feeling pleasantly light, your body tired in the best possible way, and you couldn’t care less about any hangover tomorrow.
“So…” Seunghyun’s deep voice breaks the short silence, already carrying that familiar, relaxed undertone again, the one you love so much about him. “How did you like the Château Cheval Blanc in the end?”
You turn your head back to him, a soft smile on your lips. “I have to admit… it got better and better with every single sip.”
Seunghyun only laughs quietly and contentedly, pressing you more firmly against his chest, burying his face in your hair. “I know. My taste is simply flawless… and I saved the best for last.”

Author’s Note: Hello, hello! For whatever reason this was the idea that came to me when I saw those two stories the other day. Fluff/soft stuff isn’t my usual style so you know, go easy on me, please. Special thanks to @slowburnpages for letting me use her lightened photo of the bed selfie, love you!
Night was when Seoul really came to life. You remember moving here for university and being shocked by the nightlife scene. It was everything you’d wanted at eighteen when you were young and had no responsibilities. Classes starting at noon left you plenty of time to stay out until five AM and still get some sleep.
But now, as a woman in her thirties those late nights weren’t so appealing. Especially when you were working high society dinners while your husband was preparing for his group comeback. You’d barely seen each other in weeks, between your event duties and his studio sessions. Your heart ached with each goodnight text, you both falling into bed at various hours of the morning.
You’d been at this dinner for what felt like hours, watching auction after auction and making sure the food that was served was to the standard of the highest social classes in Seoul. Jiyong would’ve loved this event. The auction was for a charity he really loved and he always enjoyed standing out in a room like this. You missed him. Your phone buzzed and you smiled when you saw his name.
Get my donation?
Yes, it was way too much, Ji.
No such thing. You finished yet? We’re done early, Dae was sleepy.
No. A few more hours. Should be back by midnight.
See you then. xx
You placed your phone down with a frown, wishing you could just skip out and go home. When your phone buzzed a few minutes later you all but choked on your water. There it was, the elevator selfie everyone had been begging for for weeks. The yellow shorts with the orange hoodie made you laugh and long for him at the same time. You couldn’t remember the last time you’d seen him in person for longer than five minutes and you suddenly felt like one of his fan girls, your thumb holding down on the picture so it wouldn’t disappear.
A few minutes later a second selfie came through and you let out a small gasp. He was in bed, the lighting dark and you could make out your empty pillow. This was for you and it was working. You stood up heading to a quiet area of the venue and called him.
“Playing dirty?” You asked with a small laugh.
“Just pointing out that the bed is empty.” His voice was deep, thick from rehearsal and you sighed at the familiar sound. “You alright, Jagi?”
“Mhm. I miss you, Oppa. I’ll be home soon.”
“Miss you too, Jagi. So much.” Your eyes flicker to your boss and you let out a sigh.
“I gotta go. Love you.”
You end the call, sliding the phone into your back pocket. You watch as your boss walks over to you, a firm line setting on his mouth and you sigh. You know him well enough to know that look.
“We’re not getting out of here at midnight.” You groan at the words, your hands coming up to rub your eyes and you take your phone out.
“What time do you think? I just need to text Ji.”
“Two, three at the latest. Sorry Y/N, I know you wanted to leave early.” You shrugged.
“It is what it is.” You sent a text to Ji before heading back in for the event.
The hours dragged on and at one point, the texts stopped rolling in. It was a good thing, it meant Ji was asleep, something he hardly did when he was in producer mode, but your heart ached at another night of missing each other.
You finally made it home, the clock on the stove reading five in the morning as you slid out of your shoes. You glared at the clock, your body was exhausted and you practically crawled to the bedroom. Jiyong was still asleep, and you took a second to take him in. He always looked so peaceful when he slept, you were glad he’d finally found some time to rest. You stripped out of your event outfit, headed to the bathroom to do your skin care routine and finally crawled into bed. Your body practically melted into the mattress as you rolled onto your side.
You didn’t remember dozing off, you only remembered the feel of Jiyong’s arms wrapping around you, his head nuzzling into the crook of your neck and you sighed as you pushed your back into his chest.
“Morning.” He whispered in your ear, his voice thick with sleep. You popped an eye open to see the time and snorted.
“I’ve barely been asleep an hour.” Jiyong frowned against your neck, his eyes finding the clock.
“I thought you said you’d be home by three at the latest.” You shrugged, snuggling in closer to him.
“The elite don’t know when to go home. Just like some other guy I know.” He snorted, his lips brushing your skin.
“I always come home, Jagi. You just can’t hang with the big dogs like you used to.”
“Big dogs?” You laughed, rolling in his arms to face him. “Do not ever refer to the three of you as big dogs again.”
His eyes were heavy from sleep but shone with a glint of mischief making your heart stop. His hair was getting longer and was messy, his stubble at just the right length you liked. He was devastatingly handsome and looking into his eyes you realized just how much you'd actually missed him.
His hand reached out to cup your face, and you leaned into the touch, your eyes closing as you breathed in this moment. His lips moved against yours slowly. You returned the kiss, your mouth moved against his, a small sigh escaping your lips as your arms wound around him, pulling him closer.
His hand moved your face gently, angling you for a deeper kiss, his free hand roaming to your waist and pulling you tightly against him. Your hips rolled against him, the fabric of his silk shorts rubbing across your bare skin caused you to gasp and he grinned against your lips.
“Always so impatient, Jagi. What’s the rush?”
His hand moved from your waist, up your thigh slowly. His lips still on yours as he inserted his fingers inside you. You let out a gasp against his lips, his fingers curling inside you.
“God, Jagi. So wet for me.” He mumbled against your lips as he worked his fingers in a slow, deep rhythm.
You moaned against his lips, the slow movements driving you crazy. Your hands sliding down his bare chest to his pants and he grabbed your hand stopping your movements.
“Not yet.” His lips broke from yours, moving to the nape of your neck.
You let out a groan as his fingers worked quicker, his thumb circling your clit. Your hips bucked into his hand and your head fell to rest in his chest. He dropped your hand, moving it tightly back to your hip, anchoring you in place.
“Cum on my hand Jagi and I promise I’ll reward you.” He whispered in your ear, his teeth nibbling on your ear lobe playfully.
You didn’t even hesitate, your body rocking into his hand as you let out a strangled cry of pleasure, your head leaning heavily into his chest. His fingers moved slower as you rode it each wave of your climax.
“That’s it, baby. Just like that.”
His free hand moved to your face, angling your chin so that he could see you, a look of pure love and devotion crossing his face as he watched you come undone. He slid his hand out of you, gripping your hip tighter as he held you to him, his thumb rubbing small circles on your skin as you came down from your high.
“Oppa, please.” He smirked, his lips brushing against yours.
“Your wish is my command, Jagiya.”
He flipped you onto your back, kicked out of shorts and sunk into you in one swift movement. You moaned as your back arched up to him, allowing him to go deeper. He groaned into your neck, his teeth grazing your skin as he set a slow, steady rhythm.
“You feel so good, Jagi.” He whispered against your skin before his mouth claimed yours.
Your body rocked against him, soft moans escaping your lips as you held onto him for dear life. You’d missed him over the past few weeks and by the way his body was moving with yours, you could tell he’d missed you too. His kiss was slow, matching the pace he’d set with his thrusts.
It didn’t take long for you to come undone again. Your breath catching with every thrust as you tried to hold on. He sped up his movements, feeling you close to edge and drove into you deep and rough. You let out a cry, your teeth biting on his bottom lip.
“Let go, Jagi.” He groaned, his arms cradling your body as he moved quicker.
Your body shook with the force of your second orgasm, your hips moving with his as your road out every wave, your walls clinching around his cock and he let out a groan as he released inside you with one final thrust.
You fell back into the mattress, chest heaving with every breath. Jiyong pulled out of you slowly, still hovering over you as he leaned to down kiss you again. He fell back to his side, pulled you to his chest and kissed the top of your head.
“I missed you.” You mumbled against his skin. He smirked, his hands running down your back.
“Not as much as I missed you.” He peered down at you, a gummy smile appearing in his face when his eyes met yours.
“How are the songs coming along?”
“Good. We’re almost there. It just needs to be tweaked to perfection.”
“I’m sure it’s already perfect, you’re just too much of a perfectionist and you like watching those boys struggle to stay awake.” You teased, your chin resting on his chest.
“That is not true!” He laughed, his fingers tickling your side.
You let out a laugh, wiggling against him before surrendering to him.
“Okay, okay. I take it back!” You laughed. His fingers stopped, moving to a gentle soothing rub on your side.
“How did the event go?” You shrugged, letting out a small yawn.
“About as expected. The clean up crew showed up two hours late, hence my late arrival home. Your donation was the highest one of the night.” You hand traced the outline of his tattoo and smiled up at him. “Thanks again for doing that.” He squeezed you closer to him, his cheek resting on top of your head.
“Anything for you, Jagi. Always.” He kissed your temple as you both relaxed further into the mattress. “You should sleep.”
“No.” You clung to him tighter. “If I sleep you won’t be here when I wake up and I miss you too much. I’ll just sleep when you head to the studio.”
“No studio today. Sleep, I’ll be right here when you wake up.” You smiled up at him as he spoke, a wave of giddiness washing over you.
“Now I’m too excited to sleep.” Jiyong chuckled, his body shaking with each laugh.
“You’re ridiculous, Jagi. Go to sleep.”
You laid wrapped up in his arms for a long while, the steady sound of his heartbeat lulling you to sleep. You’d missed this, you’d missed him. You drifted off to sleep with whispered I love yous and the promise of a whole day dedicated to just the two of you. It wasn’t always easy when you had to be apart from each other, but nights like this made it all worthwhile.
