Highlights include SANDLAND, MACROSS, GEASS PROJECT, ONE PUNCH MAN and CHAINSAW MAN

suzaku would run one of those weird blogs that reblogs pics of like small town convenience stores and grocery store cakes and low quality photos of weirdly cute things and girls' lips with lip gloss on and keeps a text post tag tagged "diary" where he talks about being a masochist and getting choked and doing heroin

‪i was just thinking about the scene in code geass episode 15 where lelouch is confronting cc while absentmindedly clicking a pen and the title "code" geass and i was like wait was that morse code so i went back and it absolutely was morse code, it begins at roughly 5:10, he clicks the pen three times at an even tempo, pauses to talk to cc, then clicks the pen again twice in an even tempo, then knocks the chess table over cause he's pissed off and the pen disappears into hammerspace and doesn't come back after that. anyway, the pen clicks transcribe im morse to " --- --." so that's two letters in english morse code and so for some reason my dumb ass assumed that a secret message in a japanese fuckin anime would be in english and not japanese morse code, so i go look it up and it's just "OG", and i just sit there absolutely pissed off that this, this‬ ‪is the incredibly important secret message that lelouch apparently uses this moment of fourth wall transcending lucidity to secretly transmit to the viewers, that lelouch is an Original Gangster‬

my brain: when suzaku successfully fulfilled his duties for zero requiem and lelouch reached up and touched his mask, what was he doing? was he sealing the oath, swearing the solemnity of the second geass he ordered of suzaku with his blood? or did he simply hold him for the sake of holding him? in that moment, did lelouch not simply want to express his gratitude for suzaku's loyalty and self-sacrifice, to attempt to convey one fraction of what the cruelty of the world he died to soften never allowed him to in words through a simple gesture of loving touch?

my brain: is it even a question of either/or? does one necessarily exclude the other? can both reasons not be genuine? could this not be a microcosm of all lelouch's actions through the entire series-- part grandiose and motivated by a love for all mankind, part simply, selfishly, embarrassingly but relentlessly human?

i’d heard that the first of the recap films for the resurrection project was supposed to come out in january but from an english source? a fairly reliable one i think but still… anyway it’s been a while for them to have said nothing about it. the most likely thing is just simple delays, i guess, but the naive ARG-loving part of me is like, what if this is part of the game. what if there’s some puzzle fans have to solve first. i’d be all over it, except my japanese is shit and i have no idea where to start… something my friend and i found that we thought might have been a lead ended up being probably nothing, or. i can’t make heads or tails of it either way.

anyway god i really hope they keep doing ARG stuff like the secret code hidden in the miraculous birthday invitation and the painstakingly animated lelouch smiling in the dark corner of the akito shot that's really hard to see unless you brighten the clip up in a video editor god it's so fucking cool imo
